Struggle, best describes both anime as well as my review. Both elicit points of potential as well as disappointment.

Introduction depending on follow through can be seen as rather abrupt. Although it isn't. Like most things in this age rely on electronics which from time to time can cause input delay. Which is why it is essential one must re-watch anime pieces before posting. What i mean to say is upon first view anime seems to have hit a fast forward button for a brief moment. In reality it was an odd placement meant to calm the viewer. For example, say i ... wanted to do an artistic piece on how life progresses in what is seemed to be a fast cycle. I might have the piece showing an elevator progressing rapidly down. A viewer might question to what came before if anything but the intention wasn't plot based but mood. Somewhat cryptic but hopefully helps you with the introduction.

Story's content was conflicting. Almost as if having double meaning to its title. Cross road means connecting paths. Which is depicted but attached over it is another cross road of plot. I believe anime's point was to express how one is not alone with what they do. Even if they are the only one doing it in their area but as to why each perspective overlapped the way they did was a tad confusing. Some might say another artistic perhaps drawn visual perspective is in order.

Ending, i am not sure to as if this ending was a good call. In terms of my recollection about college it was mainly based on splitting rather than meet ups. Sure, one might share another education environment with another friend but could be for different degrees thus different paths. Making me wish conclusion was a tad longer to explain what the director/writer was implying. For as it stands seems to end at a four-way stop sign rather than a alone road.
