Ice

By A.D. 2010, all men have died off quickly due to a dramatic change in the environment and an unknown contaminant. The population decreased to the lowest number ever seen...until only the women were left alive.

They live huddled in small corners of a world mostly reclaimed by nature.
There are those who accept their inevitable extinction and live a carefree life...
There are those who try to continue on the race with the help of science...
It is a society of constant conflict over their differences of principles and policies.

The story takes place in the center of Tokyo. It is one of the places left for them. The conflict over the specimen of "ICE" and the chance it may provide to save humanity begins.

this shit is awesome and beautiful. are you kidding me?? I found it inventive and I liked the intensity between the main slew of characters, I loved the art, I loved the mystery of the world and of these opposing groups... loved the eyeball lick... love the manipulation... so much jam packed into such a short little thing and doesnt overload you by trying to spell out every detail or confine itself to sense. hot. loved it.

i dont have much more to say but MAL is asking me to. dont really underdtand why characters responding to thing realistically is a metric because IDK how many ... boogers on here know how they would react in these situations i glossed over some of the negative reciews and they all seem to say the samesort of thing... bad voice acting (i watched the dub and found the voice acting spectacular), nonsensical plot (it really doesn't strike me as nonsensical... but if you need everything to have a reason spelled out for you or you don't enjoy media by way of letting it spark your own imagination, then this might not be your thing) (meant that not facetiously)

Mixed Feelings

Ice is a huge mess, but far from the trash that most reviews make it out to be. The cast is strong all around, but its main character is a perfect mix of kick*ss and caring. The art can be distractingly cheap at times, but the action never disappoints.

However, Ice is a huge mess. There's several attempts at these high art metaphors or allegories or cinematic somethings. I have no clue what it was trying to say. It doesn't help that there's several shots of untranslated text vital to the story. There's some Ghost in the Shell levels of pretentiousness here without the directing chops ... of GitS.

At 3 episodes, Ice is an enjoyable, easy watch, despite its glaring flaws.

This Anime was directed by Makoto Kobayashi of Dragons Haven Fame. I was interested in watching 3 episode OVA series the Story is set in Tokyo, Japan like some Japanese Anime where a virus caused the extinction of the male population. Now, women take the reins to create factions and must survive in a world where monsters exist created by a Biological weapon called I.C.E. Which focuses on two characters Hitomi Landsknecht and Yuki Kusaragi by fate and uncover a conspiracy surrounding I.C.E.

The Animation

It felt like watching anime from the 90s yet released in 2007 which tries its hardest to blend CGI and 2d ... animation.

Sound

The background and sounds but the music didn't have any Bangers what so ever that it felt boring.The creator Yasushi Akimoto is also the producer of idol group AKB48 couldn't find the right talent to create a good soundtrack for this Anime.


Overall

The Anime was a passion project with lesbian themes that were weird and not really a good story that can entertain the average anime enthusiast by any means even with a Movie it's not good anime.
