Both are hot blooded soccer anime. Both have very cool soccer techniques.

Both are a sports series that focuses on the day-to-day lives of Japanese youth football teams and their respective team captains. Captain Tsubasa is more light-hearted whereas Akakichi no Eleven has its fair share of emotional and tear-jerking moments.

Both are sports anime. Major is about baseball and Captain Tsubasa is about football. Both start with the male protagonist's childhood and continue his transition to adulthood. Like any other sports anime, both of them care about friendship, teamwork, and rivalry. Even though they both are long anime, you can watch them without getting bored.

Both are sports anime, though one is basketball and the other is football. Overall, both series teach us to never give up either in sports or in life, and to always fight for what we love. Both have comedic sequences, though were more frequent in Slam Dunk, and both have their respective main teams to face numerous challenges to reach the top of a ladder. They were also extremely popular outside Japan and US.

It's both about football and has the same unrealistic way of playing. Like characters flying, superpowers etc.

As for the main characters both of them loves the sport they are doing and do their best to improve themselves. Both has a strong will to continue what they are doing and not give up. Both of them enjoy rivalry.

Both anime are about soccer and various teams and championships...while Inazuma Eleven has some sort of supernatural feeling to it (Because of the whole "hissatsu" techniques) and even different characters that appear to be regular humans but aren't, Captain Tsubasa seems to be a more "normal" type of soccer... Inazuma Eleven evolves faster than C.Tsubasa, taking only 2-3 episodes for a match to end, while in Tsubasa it takes more than a whole episode for the players to run half the field... Both anime are enjoyable and have the soccer to kick in!

Same feeling while watching it. Both about sport/friendship/rivalry.

They're both about soccer, though Kickers is a bit more realistic and does not have as wild kicks as Captain Tsubasa does.

I always knew Hungry Heart and Captain Tsubasa had some relation. Later, I found out it was created by the same person! Hungry Heart is an anime I totally loved and still love as football is my favorite sport! It's story shows courage and determination like you'll never see it! Totally recommended! ^^

Both anime have strong male protagonist determined to fulfill his dream. Both of them will encounter many interesting friends and rivals. Their road to success wont be easy but rather filled with sweat, tears and pain.

Both are sports animes and talk about a young boy who wants to be a great sportsman (Capeta in racing, Tsubasa in Soccer), but have great difficulties to achieve his dream. Also, character design are much alike.
