A toy has become one of the most popular competitions. Build your own customized miniature fighter and use it in duels on a special arena against various opponents. Some of them may become your friends, some may use quite underhanded methods to win. Catch up to your parent. And maybe you'll even find love along the way.

Both shows have partners who work together win their duels/matches. One series is based on a popular card game that is known worldwide. The other is based on the Gundam franchise which uses familiar Gundam models from past Gundam series. Yugioh is dark while Gundam Build Fighters is light-hearted. Both series catered to children.

Very similar concept of boys using plastic models/figurines to be skanned by a battle system and then engage in a virtual battle that uses these models in a more realistic action.

Both these Gundam series are about hot-blooded tournament fighting, pretty much. I couldn't tell you how many times I expected Sei and Reiji to execute a Shining Finger instead of a Build Knuckle, haha. If you enjoyed the duelling and the special moves in Build Fighters, then look forward to even more kungfu-esque action in G Gundam. Both anime take a few episodes to get off the ground, but when they do, they're pretty darned good. Remember to watch these subbed though - the English dub of G Gundam completely fails to capture the spirit of the original and is rather cringe-worthy.

Same series.

Surprisingly enough, Gundam Build Fighters and Cardfight Vanguard share a number of similarities than one might think. They both involve competitive games among players/characters using skills. But more importantly, they learn through experience to become better at what they do. The main male protagonists in both series are kind and very caring toward their friends. They have a friend that battles alongside them throughout the series. Throughout both series, they encounter new friends and rivals along the way while becoming better players. There are also bits of comedy and small hints of romance.

They both rely on models. One are mechs you pilot the other are sentient girls. Both battle and kit construction, quality, and parts affect how they perform. Both are constructed the same. One is collecting data while the other series is to became the world champion. Gundam Build Fighters is more for Gundam fans but if you like to build models and kits both series you should enjoy.

-Both animes feature a boy (or actually two boys in case of Tiger Mask) compete in a sport, in which his father was also good at. In case of Gundam, Sei's father was the champion of gunpla battle, but in Tiger Mask the father of the two tigers was injured by the man called yellow devil and now they are trying to get revenge on him. -They are both shounen animes, that don't offer basicly anything besides battles of mechs or wrestling matches respectively. -In both cases the protagonists are facing multiple troubles on their way, due to the fact that they are facing an evil organisation, that  read more

Very similar, the sequel to Cross Fight B-Daman, toy battling competition that involves toy figures in a stadium.

Both anime feature a type of generic mecha protagonist, who is a mecha fan but gets caught up in actual gundam fights when he sees that the world is on the verge of destruction, alongside he gets a female comrade who helps him understand the skills and battles.

Card battling competition, both cast of characters play to be the best at the game to meet their goal and solve a mystery.

Plastic models coming to life and conducting battles. Both anime are done as a way to promote real life plastic model products.

It's based on a Toy Competition, with a cast of colorful characters.

Alien technology lets fans pit their little toy like objects in grandiose battles to prove their toys are the best. Bakugan and Build Fighters follow different plots but their premises are similar. Bakugan is comparatively serious with death of certain Bakugans, while Build Fighters is more engrossing despite being comparatively lighthearted.

The feeling is similar. Both Sei and Ye Xiu are really passionate about games and battles. And you can feel their enjoyment of the game. There are slight differences Sei is younger and is now fighting in a tournament to become the strongest, while Ye Xiu is already a veteran winner of tournaments, player no. 1 in the game and already an adult. Both series show the life of the players in and outside the game and their relationships. Good humor also.

- Both anime have two protagonist teaming up in a world they strive for, both having interest in it. - The protagonist have their own talent that when pair up with their counterpart makes a powerful team, for example; In Bakuman one protagonist is good at drawing and the other is good at writing stories, in Build Fighters, one character is good at building gunpla and the other is good fighting with the gunpla - Both anime have the protagonist fight against different rivals to be the best - Both anime develops the characters and they get stronger as the show progresses

Both use a aspect of warfare and turn it into a fun sport and sometimes goes into the fine details of the tools at hand. For one, it's knowledge of tanks in WWII, for the other, Mobile Suits and other items from the giant Gundam Franchise(s). They both have MCs who are soon aiming to be the best at their sport. Each sometimes uses clever tactics to try and get a advantage, with varying results. They also both have a quirky sense of humor (Humliating costumes for defeat in one, while the other has tsundre-style flirting mid-battle and other Gundam Jokes).

Both are shonen battle anime set in a near-future society that is based on a single pop-culture phenomenon (Superheroes for MHA, Gunpla models for GBF). Both are directed by Kenji Nagasaki, so expect the same amount of heart, action, and sense of humor n both. Also, the soundtracks for each are also composed by Yuki Hayashi, so you'll feel pretty pumped up are the songs kick in.

Both are based on the love of mecha. The MCs are extremely talented at designing cool and unique robots based off of predecessors. The atmosphere in both is light and fun. The "Isekai" portion of Knight's and Magic does not factor in a huge amount and it was only mentioned in the first episode to give reason for why the MC is so good at robot design and "programming".

Both shows feature teenagers participating in duels involving the use of Gundam mobile suits.

both are about boys who were bad players at a popular arena battle game, but then gets a new awesome Gundam/Navi that helps them become one of the strongest players there is Differences: Gundam is about robot toys and the story has the main character's partner as his Gundam's pilot; Mega/Rockman is about virtual AI and the story has the main character's partner as the AI

Main characters are pretty similar, both trying to become like their fathers with a help of "cool guy" from a powerful family. (not to mention their personalities) Similar age variety of fighters. Both involves tournaments.
report Recommended by NoBleachNoLife
Both are Tournament Toy Fighter series, where the characters customize toys to do battle in World Tournaments. Beyblade uses Battle Tops, while Gundam Build Fighters use Mech Models. Both were designed to sell products(ie: Very Long Commercials) but kept a consistent quality in story engagement to keep viewers interested. Don't expect amazingly deep stories from either, but do expect to have a fun ride with interesting characters, as long as you can keep in mind that both shows are aimed at kids.

Build Strike Gundam, I choose you! Stay with me here. Both are well established franchises (one by Nintendo, the other by Bandai), where the focus has been to deepen their respective 'universes' with new various types of units that were added with each iteration. But with the addition of Gundam Build Fighters, both franchises now have championship style competitions where people of various ages fight duels through their respective avatars (pokemon/gunpla) to try to become 'the very best'.

In Gundam AGE: Children must use their Gundams to save the world. In Gundam Build Fighter or GunPla, they must use their custom built plastic model to battle other players. Familiar Gundam models can be seen in both series. Both are produced by Sunrise who are known for their Gundam franchise.

Robotics;Notes and Gundam Build Fighters both contain sci-fi themes dealing with the art of design involving robots. The main characters enter tournaments and takes on challenges both physically and mentally. Both series has a lighthearted mood although there are also moments when you'll feel the depressive tone. There is action (more so in GBF) along with mysteries involving some of the main characters. Minor hints of romance is also noticeable between some of the main characters.

In both animes there are battles between mechanisms based in Gundam saga, although on Keroro Gunso too appears one kind of Ideon. While Keroro Gunsou Movie 5: Tanjou! Kyuukyoku Keroro, Kiseki no Jikuu-jima, de arimasu!! is a comedy with a little action, Gundam Build Fighters is an action series with some comedy.

The story is revolved around tiny robots and has them battle. They have tournaments, and Gunplas are just like LBXs.

Main characters who are still children, pursue a dream to become the best soccer player/Gunpla team in the world! Very similar atmosphere, characters and all around fun shows. GBF gives off a sports anime feel while still having lots of action.

Reiji is very much like Takuto in early episodes, where he learns to settle in and reveals himself to be a brilliant pilot. The plastic model kits, Gunpla, in the world of Build Fighters are given life with Plavsky particles, on the other hand, the Cybodis are merely white statues without a pilot possessing a mask or mark.

The King of Braves GaoGaiGar was part of the Takara/Sunrise's Brave Series which helped to revive the hype for 70s style Super Robot anime during the 90s and it exaggerates to a whole new level, total hot blooded manly Gar from each of the fights and a lot of technological fanservice in the form of intricate robot designs and transformation sequences. Gundam Build Fighters magnificently references all of the previous Gundams series yet the story in itself is unique it doesn't try and be real robot but it happily includes over the top super robot action, Sunrise has cleverly snuck in references to their other Mecha  read more
