The pull comes from wanting a last moment with the ones a person loves, yet the art style for each leans towards the Gothic style with the slight horror twist with the plot. Both anime are beautifully made.

If you're seeking a fantasy/adventure series, then these two anime are definitely something to take a keen interest into. They involve a small group of characters traveling in a world where there is both wonders and danger. Throughout their journey, they meet friends and foes. The main female protagonist from both series are petite with a sense of curiosity about anything related to those around them. There is decent comedy and action (more so in Hitsugi no Chaika) involved as well. However, it is the character relationships along with their dynamics that strikes both series as appealing.

These endearing stories revolve around innocent children who have occupations that are a meaningful part of their identity. In one tale, we have a grave digger, and in the other, a mail carrier. They adventure out into the strange world in search for answers, and as their story progresses, they encounter new challenges and meet new friends.

Both series are about an MC who travels to very different cities and gives insight to how these cities are unique. Kino no Tabi's story focuses more on the cities while Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi focuses more on the MC.

In both, mankind numbers dwindle to very low. Atmosphere seems similar too

Both anime series cover dark subjects and the psychological effects that come with them. The two series seem to have a similar vibe or feeling to them. Both series contain supernatural elements.

The theme is death in both of them. Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi is about gravekeepers "killing". In Death Parade, is about the afterlife.

Both are the story at the end of the world.. While one is in realistic side and another is in fantasy side, you can feel the same atmosphere like solemnness in both animes..

Both anime have the innocent caramel-haired and peridot-colored eyes main girl that the story line revolves around. Tsubasa Chronicle and Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi have generally very beautiful stories. There are many cliche moments in both series as well, but they are generally well-played. Along with that, both series are cute overall.

Both series contain heartfelt experiences that may or may not make you cry, along with a daughter-father relationship in the works. They have beautiful animation and art style and deal with similar death related themes. Ai from Kami-Nai and Ushio from Clannad also share similar childish characteristics although diverse from their ages. In each world, the characters are also given second chances. In Kami-Nai however, darker themes are discussed and it is more death-related and fantasy than Clannad AF. In Clannad AF, more drama and romance is involved and it is definitely more slice of life with a slight mix of supernatural.

Both are Madhouse productions where the main character help others find peace in a post-apocalyptic world. KamiNai deals with a world without death while Casshern Sins deals with a world filled with death.

Both series are focused around the aftermath of a large disaster on Earth and have similar solitary atmosphere and ideas revolving around God and humans. Main characters feature a naive little girl with no knowledge of her surroundings, meeting an unfamilair adult, taking a journey seeking answers together.

-In both, a situation causes a man to assume an almost fatherly role over a young female orphan. -Both girls have powers which reveal a movement against them and their kind. - The characters embark on an adventure to realize a goal. -Through their pursuits, other character(s) are met and partake in their venture. The tone of both anime are different but if you were fond of the relationships and scenarios in one, then you should definitely check out the other.

The main focus of these two series is finding happiness in a dying world. Heroines Ai and Kanata are both cheerful and optimistic, and also a little naive, and through their curiosity we learn more about their worlds. In both, no one really knows what exactly happened to the world, but the "how" doesn't matter - what matters is how humanity adapts and how Ai and Kanata mature. Sunday Without God is focused on travel while Sound of the Sky takes place within a single city, but in both Ai and Kanata meet new people and see the different ways others are  read more

Both are series that deal with a unique post-apocalyptic setting Life after death, and the meaning of living are explored in similar ways; along with other themes. The 'slice of life' aesthetic is present in both Both heroines are plucky, happy go lucky, high-energy girls Both give the illusion of being something they're not

Unknown world ahead. No heading back to previous places. No town or city and people. Daughter takes after her mother.

both have short mystery arcs that are (loosely) connected to each other and both portray a grey morality that what you think it's "bad" might not be actually bad and vice versa

Kobato and Ai, despite their age difference, are both airheads, but have a deeper feel to them, once you get to know them better. They both have a goal they must pursue and reach, while their journey leaves them with horrible, unthinkable scars, on their pure souls. Kobato is slightly more "happy" than Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi

both have short mystery arcs and wishes in both are so powerful that can change their worlds

Both anime have similar themes like death and emotions. Kuro no Sumika is about shinigami, Kamisama about "gravekeeper "

Both anime series involve gods. Kamisama Hajimemashita is a story about a god who abandon his title and gives it to Nanami, making her a god. For Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, the god abandoned the world. Which made Ai, wanting to save the world that the god have abandoned. Both girls in the show are working hard to protect what they love and doing what they think they're supposed to do. Both plots are funny in a way but Kamisama Hajimemashita involves romance. Both anime is a must watch!

If you are looking for a series that will make you weep at the end then this is the anime for you. I say, Sunday Without God and Gosick are similar because: 1.) They somewhat have the same atmosphere. 2.) There is at least one character that makes you laugh. 3.) At least one character that has great determination. 4.) Both make you weep at the end (not telling why)

Both has Gods that Grant wishes in a messed up way that provides GREAT character development Both has moe characters Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi has a dramatic atmosphere that gives you great arcs and plot twists while Henneko gives you great comedy and dramatic parts that balances the feeling Sunday Without God is more serious than the Hentai Prince so be prepared to adjust your feels or if you are going to watch Henneko be warned that the Hentai Prince is a real Perv

Sakura in cardcaptor Sakura hairstyle is the same as Ai in kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi it's true but the plot is different and both hold something somehow magical

They both don't seem so similar in the beginning, but as you get more into the story, you can see they are both very phsycological. Both characters in the story, doesn't have a clear goal, but as it progresses it becomes more clear to the character itself and us the watchers.

Both anime take a concept that revolves around religion and the macabre and bring it to the level of pulp and entertainment. They both have "death" as the main theme, using it as a vehicle to drive the plot, as well as some more philosophical ideas expressed by the characters.

The first thing that came to my mind when I started this anime, was Air. The "atmosphere" is very similar in both anime. The main characters have the same pesonality and have supernatural characteristics. Also they are similar when we talk about the development of the plot and let's not forget about the heartbreaking end.

These two series have more similar in atmosphere than in plot points. The easiest way to see this is to listen to their OST (take, for example, 'Blessing' from Kaminai and the OP of Dantalian). Both series are set in a serene, mystical fantasy world that is intriguing, and you'd wish they'd dedicated more episodes to fleshing out. Dantalian is set in the Victorian era with fantasy elements, whilst Kaminai is set in an alternate universe. Both feature the adventures of a young girl with her companion/s, and whilst at first it seems as though Dantalian is episodic, whilst Kaminai has an overarching plot,  read more

What is similar to this series is that both animes relate to the theme of god. Rosetta is a sister fighting in the name of god, compared to Ai who is a little girl who is a grave keeper. and the grave keepers were sent down by god.

Although both animes are completely different the artwork are very similar. When I saw the bright and vibrant colors of No game no life I immediately thought of Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi or Sunday without God. Both animes are highly enjoyable and are set in fantastic fantasy worlds.

Both stories are themed by burial ceremonies and death in general.

-Both main characters want to fulfill the promise they made as youth -Titles given due the weapons they carry (Claymore for Claymore sword, and Gravekeeper for the shovel they carry) -The dead are detested like the Claymores are detested.

Both anime take place in a world filled with secrets, both anime can have sad moments and both anime have time loops. There are some more similarities but those are spoilers.

A pretty human loli with hidden powers, and a cool guy with a gun, are setted in a world trapped in darkness. There are mysteries to be solved, hard times, thrilling moments, and very dangeorus situations for our heroes. There are also other pretty girls and several cool guys.
report Recommended by Disillusion
They are similar because they focus on a girl with powers. Also they have almost the same development and also that they share similar conclusions. Both are great series if you want to watch something.

a beautiful journey that will take us through a magical world, where we will meet characters that will teach us about life. And to know that the loss of a loved one does not mean that we will never see him or her again or that we will remain alone, we will always meet new people and that our actions, no matter how small they may be, make a difference.

At first lives in a normal life with everyone until one day, both the main characters realizes that something is off, and everything they had been living in was all a lie. Both thought what they were living in at the moment was for the good until they find out the shocking truth.
report Recommended by iNinjeek
Weird shows where undeads organize themselves to continue living. Shiki is darker and more creepy, while Nichiyoubi is more solar and heterogeneous.
report Recommended by Disillusion
Main characters' important target: breaking up a mysterious infinite loop. There are arguments and assumptions about God, too.
report Recommended by Disillusion
At first the protagonist was living in a good enviroment and hapinness, but suddenly they encounter someone that makes them see the "hidden" part of the world. And they really feel similar.

Post apocalyptic setting. Both light-hearted but with a dark undertone

Déjà vu and unexpected deaths. Nice visuals and characters. Misleading shows which alternate joy/harmless moments with thrill moments.

-Both involve the world where god has abandoned, and the people has to fight to win to survive

-short series/half season -a girl traveling w/ characters she meets on her journey -both can be creepy and mysterious in certain episodes -similar character design, (Hampnie Hambart & Alzeid) -(but the art in Sunday Without God is jaw dropping gorgeous)☆_☆ -both have moments that'll make you cry or make you smile -you're in for a adventure if you watch either -however, girls will probably prefer Dazzle more than guys b/c of the bishies ^ω^

Similarities: Both series have a similar arch structure, where in each arch the main characters travel to a new city. Both series also have an MC with a certain power that makes them undesirable by the villagers. In Sunday without God (Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi), Ai is a gravekeeper, one of the select few that can put the dead to rest. In Spice & Wolf (Ookami to Koushinryou), Holo is a wolf god who is perceived as a demon by the church. Differences: Spice & Wolf deals with the economics of each city. The start of Inai Nichiyoubi might be different but with the development of the story the whole thing changes and giving it a bit of a Clannad feel.

they both give off very similar vibes. the main character is a unique person in their respective worlds. Ai is half-human half-gravekeeper. Haruaki is the only person that is immune to curses.

Killer tags along a loli as they travel a strange world. Both have religious undertones and talk about graves, but Satsuriku no Tenshi is more horror-focused.

Though the shows really are different, there's one plot point in both that overlaps; both shows consider what it means to be 'alive'.In Serial Experiments Lain, Lain is at one point asked whether she would leave her body, and go to the wired. In Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, the characters could kill themselves, but won't simply stop 'living'.

For both Anohana and Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, they both involve the concept of death and its aftermath. Thus, expect some supernatural themes. The main female character from both series are kind and is selfless in helping others. Although the settings are a bit different, they give off a similar feeling of mystery. For Anohana, involves the main girl (Menma). For Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, it involves the origins of its world setting.

Besides art style being pretty similar, themes and atmospheres of both animes coincide with each other, especially during about episode 6 on from Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi when more of a school genre is introduced. Both series can get emotiona and deal with mystery solvingl as well with themes of death however, Another is much more darker than Kamisama while Kamisama is much more emotional.
report Recommended by bishoujobitch
For both series, they have a similar feeling involving an after life world. Thus, expect supernatural themes. Additionally, the main character of both series must adjust to their role in such a world. There is connections between certain characters as well as family-like bonding. Then, there's also the theme of a mystery life vibe regarding the themes of both shows.

Although they have different settings, both Shigofumi and Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi deals with the concept of death and takes it to a supernatural level. A main female character from both series gets involved with tasks dealing with the dead. There's a majestic feeling in both series that is quite unique. Then, there's some mysteries and twists that may surprise viewers. Among other things though, both series connects the concepts of death towards the main character as they deal with various events throughout the story.

Both of these anime have similar themes. They both feature supernatural and powerful tool/weapons that have mysterious powers. The art and soundtracks are also similar and have that colourful yet dark theme and setting.
