Both anime are based on manga from Go Nagai. They both have a similar dark and gritty tone, as well as similar character designs. Both anime feature the main protagonist fighting against evil powerful monsters. They are also both action-packed anime with blood, gore, and gratuitous nudity. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Supernatural with horror elements. Not too scary but with enough perks as horror shows. Plus interesting stories (episodic in nature).

Both are revolving around a young person obsessed with the gathering of horror stories. Later the main characters meet a group for extermination of the evil forces, which are lying in the bottom of the case. The only difference is that Hundred Stories is during the Edo period, while Kikoushi Enma happens in modern days Japan.

Both are entertaining horror anime, and can make you creep out with an ugly faces and creepy sound effects. Just ignore the storyline to make the experience more enjoyable. kikoushi is more creepy than mayoiga.

If you want something that are similar to mirai nikki except the death game thing. well, you should check "kikoushi enma". It has brutal killing and disturbing back stories of characters.

- Both have dark stories that makes you have an idea of what's going on at the beginning that slowly changes towards the end. - Same feel. Lots of gore and a intrincate but not fully explored plot.

Demons escaped from hell and MC must catch them. The big difference is that Enma is horror, while Kami nomi is comedy

- Both animes have main characters with supernatural powers helping people in distress (due to that same supernatural), and most cases are raleted with murders. - Similar feel of uneasiness from the beginning until the end of the series (even when the lighter scenes show up, that uneasiness doesn't disappear).

Both are psychological horror movies about the cases of a supernatural detective agency. Both are partly episodic, and partly about the tragic backstory of an investigator herself. While Garden Of Sinners as a whole is similar to Enma, GoS 5 is most similar. Both anime us the metaphor of a house which symbolizes the subconscious of people as kind demonic prison. In this environment, past and present, life and death, and reality and imagination blur into a feverish nightmare.

Kikoushi Enma is a hidden masterpiece from 2006. It is 4 OVA episodes of horror with ecchi mixed in. The screen writer is Takao Yoshioka, who adapted Elfen lied, the Familiar of Zero and Highschool DxD. Demons are lurking and a girl is investigating paranormal stories. Are you searching for horror as well? Get yourself a life lasting psychological scar today! Serial Experiments Lain is like no other. 13 episodes of reality distortion from 1998. Boogiepop And Other and Demon Prince Enma are horrors with very dark (obviously), twisted, complex and surprising story. There are some similarities, but its difficult to explain. The title character Enma reminded me a little bit of Boogiepop (or its Phantom or both) and the plot in both shows heavily revolved around the dark side of human soul

Trust me. Despite one being a 90s OVA and the other from the 2000s. The 2 here in question go well together. Especially because of a thing that happens in the second half. I am very fond of Demon Prince Enma and been meaning to make a recommendation relating to it for a while now.

Handsome man (in one case he's a demon, in the second he's a vampire) works in his little detective agency and protect peope from monsters.

Another early 2000's horror with traditional Japanese elements that centers around modernized social issues in both Japanese and other societies around the world.

Both are about demon hunters and they companies, very dark, full of monsters however Kikoushi no Enma is more folklore than Devil May Cry.

Both shows have very detailed and good art and animation. Both shows have a darker than anime avg take on the supernatural. In the midst of all that both have a very sexy undercurrent without being stupid pantsu fanservice. Both are amazing shows. ^^

Very dark horror shows with complex stories that involve supernatural and mystery elements. They have a similar, often twisted atmosphere, and also the title characters in both have similar roles.

Both series are about vampires. Kikoushi enma is modern and Vampire Princess is vintage.

Same Director Here... They are very similar, but Enma has more supernatural elements...

Both have the same animation director. meaning, they both prominantly feature horror, incredibly detailed backrounds, and great animation. both are also rather dark, with a bit of gore thrown in as well.
