Synopsis

While Gintoki Sakata was away, the Yorozuya found themselves a new leader: Kintoki, Gintoki's golden-haired doppelganger. In order to regain his former position, Gintoki will need the help of those around him, a troubling feat when no one can remember him! Between Kintoki and Gintoki, who will claim the throne as the main character?

In addition, Yorozuya make a trip back down to red-light district of Yoshiwara to aid an elderly courtesan in her search for her long-lost lover. Although the district is no longer in chains beneath the earth's surface, the trio soon learn of the tragic backstories of Yoshiwara's inhabitants that still haunt them. With flashback after flashback, this quest has Yorozuya witnessing everlasting love and protecting it as best they can with their hearts and souls.

This is, in my opinion, the best Gintama offered up until now. There are 3 arcs and a standalone episode.

The first arc is surprisingly deep, with a very fun premise and a meaningful advancement on the core themes of this anime.

The second arc sees some of the pieces that were established so early on finally start to take their place in preparation for the last stretch within a very well-developed narrative within the arc and a touching conclusion.

The third arc is plain fun. It manages light-hearted jokes, well choreographed fights and reaching for seemingly forgotten aspects of the overall story.

Well, let me begin by saying that Gintama': Enchousen is an anime that truly deserves its reputation as one of the funniest and most entertaining series out there. The story follows the misadventures of Gintoki Sakata, a samurai who now works as a freelancer in a world where aliens have taken over Japan.

The series manages to blend comedy, action, and drama in a way that is truly unique, and the Enchousen arc is no exception. It's filled with hilarious gags, epic fight scenes, and heartwarming moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

One of the things that sets apart from other anime ...

Gintama: Enchousen was amazing no doubt about it. Everything from the epic fights to the humour to the super sad parts about it, everything was amazing. It was truly jaw-dropping to see all the past arcs come together, the Yoshiwara arc, the promises from the first few episodes of Gintama, and the Shogun arcs as well. All amazing.

The Story: This is quite different from the other Gintamas. THERE IS AN ACTUAL STORY HERE. and it's amazing! It was comprehensible and flowed amazingly. 10/10

Animation: Beautiful. 10/10

Music: Ok music is good but compared to the musical animes nothing special. 7/10.

Why you should watch it: If you watched ...
