Second Movie of Gintama Due in 2013 [Update Aug 26]

According to Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, the second movie of Gintama was announced to be premiered in 2013. It will be an original story written by the manga author. The scan says the airing of Gintama TV anime will start on October 4th. It's unclear whether the TV program will be a rerun or a new series.

According to the official website, the TV series to be aired from this October will be a rerun of the previous series with additional new episode(s).

Hopefully it'll be about the Joi War because that is really one of the most interesting yet (as of now) unexplored aspects of Gintama :D

Movie!..... and new TV series right?
We waited for 1,5 years till october 2013, it musn't be a re run!!!!
So, in meantime we wait for BD release, we can enjoy anime series <3.

I want to see Kintoki in anime!!!

Episode 1-40 will probably feel a bit tedious, but by the time you reached episode 70 time will fast-forward, so fast that you'll reach episode 252 in no time.

i think its more along the lines of it took them half a year to realize they could quite literally do whatever the hell they wanted in this series due to the rules of this world being so free

As for the TV anime, I cannot wait to see the new episodes! I hope there'll be more than just one or two new episodes!
