Power suits, minor cyberpunk elements and tonnes of gore that will take you for a ride

Same type of world setting and outlook on humanity, also with a violent beast of a protagonist whose only purpose in life to is horrendously cut people into pieces.

Both titles are set in a post-apocalyptic setting with a similar vibe. They both feature characters that can use mecha and armor battle suits to battle powerful enemies. They are also both action-packed anime with lots of violence and blood. If you enjoy MD Geist and want a better post-apocalyptic anime, check out Blue Gender. If you like Blue Gender and want another post-apocalyptic anime with a similar vibe but with a weaker plot then maybe give MD Geist a try.

Bizarre, schlocktastic OVAs that make you wonder why the heck anyone decided to make them. Nonetheless they both have a great deal of so-bad-it's-good appeal, with one already a cult classic, and the other undoubtedly destined to become one. Must-see for fans of trippy, violent, screwed-up anime, and gratuitous hyphens.

Both are timeless "Manime" that would not be made today due to the graphic content of each. Also, both are clearly inferior versions of other things - Sword for Truth is clearly an inferior version of Ninja Scroll, and MD Geist is clearly an inferior version of both Fist of the North Star and the Fallout franchise.

Both anime have many similar elements, including: - Similar setting (Earth turned into a wasteland) - Violent and hot-blooded main characters - Mecha - Non-stop GAR action - A lot of violence, blood and gore - Similar vibe and atmosphere

Post-apocalyptic worlds, deserted wastelands, depraved characters, gore, violence and non-stop action. In both anime, you will find these themes.

Extremely dark and nihilistic anime, focusing on amoral characters who cause only mayhem. Both are quite disturbing and contain similar levels of violence, gore and nudity. Both are stylistically similar and also give off the same vibe and atmosphere.

Both anime have a similar world setting, violent and bloodthirsty main characters and a lot of violence and gore. They also have pretty good mecha designs.

MD Geist is to violence what Eiken is to fanservice. Both shows go to the extremes in their respective content, both are OVAs, and both somehow received a second episode (in the case of MD Geist, it's a sequel).

Both are OVA made in a time when men were men. They killed, screwed, and always knew what to do, accomplishing every mission in the bloodiest, most action-packed method possible. They were super soldiers, irresistible to women and feared by minions and goons.

Both titles are set in a post-apocalyptic setting and are very similar in tone and content. They are very action-packed filled with nudity, violence and gore. In both anime, the protagonist has access to an armor that allows them to kill anyone that stands in their way. None of them are good as far as plot goes. However they can be both very entertaining to watch. If you like one, you probably will like the other as well.

I don't want to say to much, but they both feel similar. The main characters are both pretty much Immortal and have inhuman powers. The movies are packed with action and gore. The characters are also pretty similar, very hard and silent type with no feelings.

Both have depraved characters, gore, violence and non-stop action. They both live in a world of brutal violence which they must fight their way through. Though Akame Ga Kill has far more of a plot, both anime can keep action anime fans entertained from start to finish. If you like one, you probably will like the other as well.

Both are about an 80s manly man doing manly things, kicking ass and chewing bubble gum with more bullets fired than words spoken.

Both are titles from the schlock OVA boom during the late 80s and early 90s. Expect excessive violence, profanity, cheesy dialogue and over the top dystopian stories.

Mars of Destruction is this generation's MD Geist. Both are shocking in different ways (MD Geist is extremely violent; Mars of Destruction is easier to see than to describe), and both are OVAs by rather...infamous directors.
