The story line of an average school girl being dragged into a much more fantasy like world or situation is similar to that in fushigi yuugi. This is also a reverse harem anime, much like fushigi yuugi. The romance in this and the love triangle and obstacles are also similar in the two shows.

Violence, drama and love. Emotionally deep female leads.

The story is somewhat similar to Ceres only more mature. There is also some incest and reincarnations of celesital beings. Also, the genres are similar.

Highly akin for premise and structure. They are focused on a race of women (with unusual hair colors) superior than normal humans. Both involve experiments, super powers, gore, split personalities, memory loss, love triangles, romance, incest, and drama. Also, in both there's a seashell with quite a pivotal role.

Two beautiful quest/love stories where main characters have to fight for their happiness. In both, female characters discover new super-natural abilities which they learn to use. Escaflowne is a bit lighter and a bit more action-focused, but you will definitely like both!

Same series written by Yuu Watase. Similar themes and art.

Have a similarity with forbidden or impossible love!? both animes and mangas are simply amazing creations?! watch or read both are a bog hit :P

Drama, love and supernatural are prominent in both (though Fruits Basket is the more light-hearted of the two). Need I say more?

Shojo that looks alittle bit old about a teenage girl in comtenporary Japan that discovers she's a Godess/alien scientist reincarnated.

Two close high school students become enemies due to their destined incarnations as opposing divine beings. Angels, legends, bloody violence and tragic romance. Overall, a very similar dark supernatural shoujo (e.g. bishounen) theme. Highly recommended.

At first glance these two might as well have nothing in common in terms of story telling and characters. However what they do have in common are, for a lack of better terms vibes. If you liked Ayashi no Ceres for it's different take on romance, one that is "mature" and comes to "fruition", Devill's Lane is sort of similar. The romance is mature, in a way they are obvious to each other, and the only reason it's not coming to fruition in the anime adaptation is due to outside circumstances but that ain't stopping feelings and actions from taking place.

They are a lot alike story wise. Where-as the both Aya and Pacifica are hunted by their families and their people. both have a twin brother who doesn't have the same fate as them, the sister. Both are very good stories, they each have their differences, but they are just as good. even though Ayashi no Ceres is a little bit darker, i recommend both.

Love, powers, jealousy, monsters... I highly recommend!

Girl finds out she has powers her family wants to kill her to control her powers, Code:Breaker is more a supernatural team of anti heroes and a shady organization they work for. Ceres the leading man also works for a shady company as well what makes this show similar to this is the fact the leading man in Ceres is similar to the leading man in this show killing with no remorse a anti hero someone who only understands the purpose of fighting. Both shows have a lot of action and are very fast paced but Ceres is more violent and Gorey another big difference  read more

Both MCs have a similar phenomenon happening to their bodies. Their personas change, and they do not remember what happened while in that other persona. Ayashi no Ceres has a more romantic theme compared to Nurarihyon no Mago, though.

Not really similar but kinda gives them same vibes both are shoujos that are written really really well.

Supernatural shojo with celestial beings living on Earth, with evil corporations and scientists as antagonist. Pretty violent by shojo standards.

Even if being different in plot and length, both are smutty anime with plenty of drama which involve love between twins (even though Imouto has actual incest, while Ceres doesn't). Also, Aya and Iku are very similar: blonde, dumb and quite annoying schoolgirls.

Ayashi has a much darker story than Full Moon, but both provide a bitter-sweet experience, a beautiful love story and some supernatural stuff to boot. Plus, both are just great animes!

Its the same plot sort of. Two different people sharing one body trying to find their loves. It has romance, not as much action as Ayashi no Cere does, and it has a great cast of characters.

Ayashi no Ceres gave me the very same feeling that I first had when I first watched Sailor Moon many years ago. Both series had princess or "princess-like" outer-space beings that fell in love with men that helped them but had a past that men don't remember. Both stories touched my heart that I didn't think an anime couple could.

Clannad does not have a supernatural aspect to it, but two stories have somewhat similar pace, try watching one if you like the other...

These two great stories both offer supernatural, love-triangles and drama. VK is lighter, but has a somewhat similar mood to Ayashi...

Both animes talk about the curse of Celestial maidens and how that affects the main girls. Although Ayashi is full of action, and Air is slice of life, we can see the main girls goal, trying to break the curses. Both animes make you cry with tragic characters.

In both animes the main girls want to save their brothers from evil. Both animes are tragic stories with action that deal with supernatural beings.

Both Monster and Ayashi no Ceres are about twins and there are deep dark secrets in the past that must be discovered and brought to light. Each twin has a different purpose and this is discovered throughout the series. If you liked one then you will definitely love the other
