Hmm, I rather liked an open ending. Ultimate win/loss would imply that the best of Hikaru's pro go life is behind him and... well, the series ends while he's still under 16, I think(?). That would imply that he's life would not compare to that one moment and whether he would win or lose would be imo meaningless. This way I can still imagine Hikaru's future as exiting and challenging.
Liar Game sounds pretty interesting... I think I'll check it out too :D
Aaa!, my mistake, I didn't notice you've already had Binbougami ga on your list. And it was on the very top, too! As an apology, here's another title with youkai in it: Inu x Boku SS ;D
I know what you mean, I watched so many anime after they finished airing, hah. Though, I also like to have something to wait for. Anticipation makes my heart grow fonder, hah. That's why I try to mix it up a bit and watch both airing and completed series.
Hmm, I don't see Inuyasha on your list. It's another youkai themed anime. A peculiar mix of shojo and shonen, at that. I consider it as a fairytale, and it worked for me that way, but even though I liked it overall, I have to say it falls short in some places. Also, not on your list youkai series: Kamisama Hajimemashita (very shojo; currently airing, so you'll probably wait anyway), Binbougami ga! (just finished airing; emphasis on comedy), Mononoke Hime (a classic).
Personally, I love it, hah. And, if you like youkai, I have a strong feeling you'll love Natsume ;D It has so many of them in so much variety! Japanese folklore and culture are clearly visible in the series. The plot is rather calm-ish, though so if you'd like something more dynamic another youkai series I recognize from your PTW - Wagaya no Oinari-sama - is also a good choice :)
Yeah, I was going to start at least 5 series from my PTW this season, but then all those good, new and shiny anime came out and... Hah. I shot myself in the foot there.
Thanks! You were a huge help! My PTW list is a mess, because I tend to add anime there that catch my interest even ever so slightly. An the list grows so fast...! It's quite terrifying. I feel intimidated whenever I try to browse through it.
Your list seems so well organized in comparison, hah... (BTW, it might not be best recommendation, but please give Natsume Yuujinchou a try ;D )
Hah, I love receiving remommendations so I'll forget for a moment about my good manners and just ask... Would you consider giving me one or two? Even if it's already on my PTW list, I still would be very happy to receive some, hah, push in the right direction :D
Hi there! It's the first time I got to stumble upon a profile that proclaims over 90% compatibility I felt I just had to leave a msg, hah. Have a nice day!
