also from ribbon this anime's not as crazy but its comedy can definitely be enjoyed the kodocha fans. this anime also has great characters like kodocha, romance isn't in the same way but still juicy. also if you watch akazukin cha cha you'll notice all the references to acc in kodomo no omocha

Shares the same style of silly fantasy parody. What Akazukin Chacha does to fairy tales, Mahoujin Guru Guru does to rpg's. Both have clever nonsense, and exude a very similar feel.

Similar setting, art style and humor sense. Chacha looks like a satire of magical girl shows, while Guruguru a satire of RPG fantasy adventures. By the way, I recommend the original Mahoujin Guruguru (1994) as well.

Both very magical shows spectating girls on a journey accompanied by two male followers on a quest to defeat the evil lord and rescue their parents in a colourful fantasy. Accompanied from time to time are a cast of vivid characters that bring some personality to both shows. Possibly the main difference is that Crayon Oukoku has more serious notes in it, whether it's character chemistry or the underlying romance, compared to the whimsical and hyperactive Akazukin Chacha. Plus, Akazukin Chacha is longer than Crayon Oukoku and extends further in plot after the evil lord sequence. Regardless, both shows are fun to watch.

Both are humorus love triangles with one girl as the lead character and two boys, one hot blooded and one cool and calculated (voiced by Hidaka Noriko in both shows too) as friendly rivals and partners in combat. Hilarious liberties were taken with the respective source materials (fairy tales/the historical Shinsengumi).

The crazy slapstick comedy is very similar.

Both have a blonde female main character who transforms into a superhero magical girl in order to fight the bad guys, both female main characters are very silly, goofy, and funny. Both animes also deal with romance, and they both aired in the 90's.

Both have series with a young main protagonist who both have blonde hair and brown eyes and fight evil by turning into an older magical girl. Both series also have similar art. Ririka is a little darker than akazukin chacha, while chacha is just pure comedy

Both about magical girls that were both made in the 90's they are very similiar to eachor due to the fact guys fight over both of the leading girls ,and they are amateurs at using magic also they have have mean girl characters that consider them rivals in love. What the big differences are is that Akazukin Chacha is more a light hearted, slap stick, fantasy adventure, story and Hime-Chan is more of a school, magic, love story.

It is similar to Super Doll Licca-chan because the main protagonist Chacha is also a princess that is also being kidnapped by bad guys to get her throne. The difference is that Chacha transforms into a magical princess with the help of her two friends that loves her and Licca needs to call for magical dolls to help save her from danger.

Similarities include: slapstick style humor, funny monster-of-the-week gimmicks, sympathetic villains, a funny and cute protagonist trio guided by an odd teacher figure, in the Super Robot genre in Ganbaruger's case (and more of a boy's focus.) and in the magical girl and fantasy genre in Chacha's case.

Childish Shoujo with the same cute but mildly kitchy feel

Both are kids anime from the 90's that centre around children. Although the main setting and plot are different, I think the most similar aspect to them are the classroom dynamics they have, both rich in a hyperactive environment full of colourful art. Kingyo Chuuihou! is mainly set within the school setting whereas although Akazukin Chacha has that quite a bit, there are other things going on too outside of there. If you want a very fun and vibrant anime to watch, I would recommend the two.

Nonsensical adventures in a fantasy world, with Dragon Half being a tad more fringe.

both shows are aimed at kids but can be enjoyed by older audiences too, good characters, and both start off light and fluffy for the most part.

If you enjoyed the humor in love hina then you'll really appereciate this anime's sense of humor because it's a lot smarter (quite brilliant) you'll laugh a lot and if you're worreid about akazukin cha cha being childish let me say it's just as if not less childish than love hina. brilliant anime aimed towards children & dumb anime aimed towards adults/teenagers~

they're both comedy and cute too. ACC has great characters too like Azumanga Daioh and this anime actually has way more characters but still almost every single one of them is still memorable and likeable. This anime's sense of humor is different to azumanga but I think azumanga fans will get it.
