Towa no Quon 1: Utakata no Kaben

I think I wanted to write a review in defense of this because it's so harmless. I think a lot of the action segments were cool to look at and while the writing isn't in-depth by any measure of the word (I think the main character should of had his motivations more fleshed out in this movie) it is not THAT bad. This isn't a full length movie either with it being about 50 minutes.

I treated this like a superhero movie. The story is not that good and the characterization was shallow but it's whatever it's dumb, it's fun, there is no reason for ... it to exist but it is still entertaining.

Overall I think it's slightly above average when compared to other freaks of work that animanga as a whole has to offer you.

i'll keep it short...it an average one,as 1step..noone explains anything.maybe the years it was produced the emo era was on trend idk,so u have to understand their actions without words or by small vague talk..still after watching t all u get the premise amd everything..superpowers,dark side of opressors who try to keep the safety of citizens by subduing our mc and his friends(cliche check x2)..side characters with no substance,"villains" edgy enough who want to keep order,and basically nothing else..tbh for me the only saving point for this was the animation,and the action scenes..still i cant judge for all of the series,i have yet to watch ... the sequel(s)..but by the 1st one so far,dissapointed tbh..i gave a 6 bcz of animation wich is good..

This was absolutely awful. I made it to the end of part 2 and gave up. I tried to give this an honest chance because it had so many good reviews, but I'm actually stunned and confused on HOW...

The dull character personalities, zero reason for viewer connection and lack of tension in action scenes/plot 'developments' (feels like too much credit to even call them that) made watching this the equivalent of dragging my feet through glass in an attempt to reach, what I can only assume, is a non existent destination. The only thing that could've made it worse is if the male MC ... had frequent, inappropriately timed and distracting magical girl scout transformation sequences.... Oh.. *wait*. (Spoiler: he did).

I don't know how I make the repeated sin of trusting MAL reviews, yet here I am. Save yourself the suffering and don't bother with this if you, like me, were going into this blind.
