BONES To Produce Iida Umanosuke's Posthumous Anime [Update Jan 22]

According to Gundam Ace magazine's February issue, BONES is producing a new anime entitled "Towa no Quon". The anime is a posthumous work of Iida Umanosuke, who passed away last November. It will be released next summer.

According to Monthly Shonen Ace, Towa no Quon is a six-episode movie series. The first episode will be premiered on June 18th.

4th through 6th movie titles has been announced.

6th one is the same as the movie, Towa no Quon.

Well, the first movie has now been aired on TV and raw is out. I wonder what sub groups will pick this up.

And fyi, this is not mecha, so stop bitching.

Release dates for B/D and DVD of first movie to third movie are out. (basically two months after airing)

Also, two manga of Towa no Quon announced! (one is prequel to the first chapter, and another is the adaptation!)

used to not like ES when I was like 14, after all these years though and rewatching it I just get it a whole lot more. Hard to explain, anyways I think thats awesome and looking forward to this a lot.

heads up gys this isnt a mecha. those arent mechs those are peop,le getting transformed sort of like how Xamd was

and sinc epeople are agueing about this both Xamd and star driver were amaizng and one of a kind, get over it.

and someone also mentioend this but rahXephon IS very very VERY underrated

Someone should walk up to BONES and slap them in the face, this fixation for robots is starting to grow stale on my book as well.

Didn't like Heroman that much (didn't watch it all to be honest), still stalling on Star Driver and now this.... as someone said, third time might be the charm and it's still BONES, so I will wait for it with anxiety as usual but with a huge amount of pre-conceptions floating around my head.

Among their works, I've only watched Soul Eater and Eureka 7 so far. I liked the latter a lot, so I'll give it a shot.

I am sorry but what? Last good mecha series from sunrise was first season of gundam00. and thats after degenerate shows like seed, seed destiny, wing, which stuff like xam'd(which was practically masterpiece-y) and even (as sad as it is) star driver, beats in quality.

Recent sunrise adaptation of gundam pink unicorns fanfic certainly does NOT help its mecha genre reputation.

Sunrise has just as much to prove as Bones does in mecha genre.

Mech again? Is Bones running out of ideas??? They've got one of the best animation quality but they are wasting their production on lousy anime.... I mean from Darker than Black to Soul Eater to heroman and star driver???? COME ON!
