Both have ridiculous, over the top fights with the same epic feel. They're also both made from the same company.

Same director, same style and the same over the top action. Both titles feature crazy mech designs and similiar humour.

Since Trigger was started up by ex-Gainax guys this isn't too much of a surprise. Kids with the special ability/training to use giant robots battle to protect humankind from giant monsters. The main girls in both shows have red outfits and pink hair. If you enjoyed Darling in the FRANXX, you'll have a good time with Diebuster. Watch Gunbuster before you watch Diebuster!

Gunbuster 2/Diebuster is the true sequel to FLCL. Same studio and same director as FLCL and it has similar character designs and the same visual style. Also Diebuster is a perfect example of how to do a spiritual sequel to an older anime.

Diebuster and Flip Flappers are both fun, over-the-top sci-fi series with a focus on the relationship between the two female main characters, one being energetic and the other being more reserved. There's more than meets the eye to the worlds and characters than one might think.

Both series use concepts that are synonymous with other genres as allegories in a coming of age story. Both series also have similar senses of humour and end in similar fashions.

KLK is made by some ex-gainax guys, so the animation and concept of over the top fights with saving the world as the final objetive is the same. Two main leads which grow closer and become best friends. MC are similar in various aspects which I cannot say or it would be a spoiler. You will get the same feeling from both so if you enjoyed one you will enjoy the other.

this might seem like a strange comparison because at first glance both shows are not simmilar at all in their Synopsis but if you look a bit more deeply they are but fun series with that "over the top" feeling, Diebuster is a masterpiece that has it's fun and dark moments while Princess connect is cute and funny 99% of the time it has some incredible animation, lighting and color pallette. Also Nono and Pecorine have basically they same kind of personality, super dumb, happy, kind hearted but underneat all that they are very powerfull and know exactly what to do and when it has to  read more

Both a are over-the-top mecha shows that go crazy in scale and awesomeness. They provide the same vibe of exiting epicness, but take a while to get to the good part.

Both stories are have lead heroines who are both resolute and cheery against overwhelming odds. Both have great music and similar themese, and both produce similar feelings.

Insane giant robot battles, characters with mental problems, and lots of bloody stylistic action. (with yuri! and with nudity!) Developed by Anno's protege Kazuya Tsurumaki, Top wo Nerae 2 (also known as Diebuster) is reconstruction of the super robot genre. It's an amazing, award winning triumph of story boarding and storytelling, with big battles and bigger emotions. Heartbreaking and thought provoking, its exactly what you need to get back that amazing Evangelion feeling. Made by the same guy who did FLCL and is doing the Evangelion Rebuilds.

Despite of "top wo nerae 2" has more mecha and action, they both have an awesome atmosphere about the big universe.

Both stories are about humans fighting for survival vs. an overwhelming alien threat. Both involve epic mecha space battles. Both revolve around one character who is tasked with saving all of humanity from annihilation.

Guy with a dream, girl with a dream, starts off small, ends up big, involves motorcycles being driven with a far off backdrop in ep1, robots, space, extremely powerful person that just happens to be powerful for entertainment, main character looks like anemone, breasts... watch the breasts...

Same type of animation with a lot of extremely over the top action scenes and flashes. A stupid, mysterious, gentle, childish and cute female lead who has some super power. Lot of nudity and fanservice. A save the world type plot. And a sort of comradship/brotherly atmosphere. Actually the relation between Natsuko and Honey relation looks a lot like the relation between Nono and Lark.

Extremely over the top and same type of brightful and colourful animation.

Both feature extremely fluid animation, sublime futuristic set design, a charming female lead, and a godlike soundtrack. Not to mention both are "successors" to older shows.

Mecha, space opéra, humanity against aliens that look like insect and stunning animation.

Involves fantastic battles with a great storyline, while still keeping nice and short.
