These are strangely similar in overall mood, in MC charters going from carefree airheads to serious grim personalities who have gone through a lot and know way more than everyone else, and having to hide their secrets

Both mangas involve eye-cathcing cool beauties with underdeveloped emotional side. Both of the plots are dedicated to a story of these girls emotional growth and maturing with the help of their friends, love partners and sticky situations.

Both manga have the same persona for main couple. The girl, though capable, is dump and thick-headed, the boy is doting on her all the time and tries to somehow protect either from herself or from dangers she jumps into. Well, in Special A it is more shoujo-like. In Tokyo Paradise it is more of an action.

It is not the plot that is similar, but rather the main female lead. In case you like strong, decisive and level-headed girls, both series should bring you lots of enjoyment.

They both have outstanding art and realism as well as outstanding battle scenes. Vagabond has fewer characters, more of a seinen. BaS has more fight scenes, characters and styles introduced.

Both mangas deal with transferring to a fighting-paradise school and joining the opposition group (to Student Council/ most powerful group etc.). In both mangas we witness quite significant and somewhat rapid growth of the main character as well as others, and strong confrontation providing spectacular fight-scenes. Marvelous boobs and asses for female characters, far from ecchi (especially Tntg), add loads of pleasure for an eye ;)))

Both series have a boy digiusing himself as a girl in fashion industry and a girl, who happens to find out about his secret and starts cooperating with the him despite his nasty character. Eventually they develop feeling towards each other. Both mangas are comedies and are very romantic.

The points of the similarity go neither to the same characters' traits, nor to the genre or to the mood. It's rather the situation. Both mangas depict a dilemma between the bond of frienship and the cruelty of warlife. In both stories main heroes meet, already having a nasty past and personal goals. Somehow they grow attached to each other and that's the moment when they have to return to reality. There are lot's of alike situations in these mangas (sorry to call Ares manga) but the outcome of them is different completely. From my point of view Ares is several levels maturer than Naruto. However it's quite nasty in drawing and in digesting some points. There are lots of contrasts between these two series, however I was quite surprised to find them similar.

Uwasa no Midori-kun!!

Both mangas deal with gender bender, enrolling in sports school and having a boy conceal the main charcter's sex. However the girls got to the all-boys schools under different sircumstances and for completely different purposes. Uwasa no Midori-kun is more daring and provokative, a little smutty. But Power!!! is more cheerful and dinamic.

It's the work of the same author, Matsumoto Jiro, and though it has a completely different plot, the mood and picturing technique is same fascinating. And of course the scenes of erotica. Some of them are really hard to digest. The same time, that is what creates charm of this series and makes it unfogettable.
