I have been searching for something that actually grabs me, something that I don't feel the need to skip through because it's too slow, or just not interesting. I have been doing the latter part of that sentence for the past month or so, trying out all types of genres. I can finally say that I found one that was enjoyable at last.
The story progressed slowly at the beginning, but then was expedited near the end and felt somewhat rushed. There were a few parts of the story that I didn't like, but everyone has their own reasons for criticism. Anyways, if the pace of
...
the story was more consistent, I would have rated the story higher than a 7/10.
My favorite part of the anime was the art. It had semblances to Your Lie in April and the Bakemonogatari series. I rated it a 9/10. I enjoy the art styles used throughout the episodes.
The sound was well fitting. I especially liked some of the music choices at the end of the anime, I won't get into it, because somehow that might be considered a spoiler. I rated this aspect an 8/10.
Character development through the story could have been better, but it was definitely not something I, or anyone else for that matter, should complain about. I really liked seeing the progression of Meguri throughout the anime. There were, of course, the general characters such as the 'deres, but come on, each anime needs a few of those. For all of this, 7/10.
As I stated in the first section, I really did enjoy the anime. It was captivating in its own way, and I really liked that. There were a few points that made me actually laugh out loud, like when they, I don't know if this accurately describes it, but, broke the 4th wall. It happened a few times, and every time made me chuckle. 8/10 on the enjoyment scale.
I'm not going to write a long section on the overall. I stated everything I believe needed to be stated in the above sections, so this should be short. I think anyone who appreciates manga/doujin/games would appreciate this show. I am definitely excited to see the second season and if you chose to watch this, I hope you enjoy it as well. Overall, I rate it at a 7/10.

So this is at episode 7, and I will update this when I finish all the episodes, or when I decide to update it if there's a point I need to.
NHK ni Youkoso! has made me realize that I need to shape up. The lifestyle I'm slowly progressing to is the same as the main character's: sleeping 12+ hours, rarely leaving room, college getting difficult, no job, etc. and I suppose this show was actually a wake up call. This show is my figurative "Misaki."
I haven't gotten to the point where I start blaming my short comings, unluckiness, or general bad things on conspiracies
...
though, so I've got that going for me!
I will say, some of the negatives of the show before praising it, so here we go:
There's something missing graphics/art-wise. That's really it.
Now, onto the good things:
All of the characters are developing well. I enjoy how Satou, the MC, progresses. I like the flashback dreams he has, it gives a little bit of the introspection behind everything, and it really does add to the overall story.
At first, I wasn't a fan of Yamazaki. He seemed like the stereotypical otaku, besides being rather in shape, and didn't really have any defining characteristics, except that he blasts annoying music constantly through the paper thin walls into Satou's apartment. What an annoying bastard, right? Well, as the story moves on, and you hear his struggle with his parents on the phone, or when you uncover the lies he tells people, he's someone that you almost pity. Somewhere along the lines, you start to like him, and he grows on you. It's just something that happens.
Misaki on the other hand, started out with a bang, in a bad way for me as well. It wasn't until the episode where she starts talking about psychology and Freud that I began to like her. I haven't gotten too far with the series as of now, so this part will be updated with more contact with her in the future episodes.
A story can only be as good as it's characters in my opinion, but it gets an added point because I like the concept of the anime.
Besides the characters and story, the sound is great. I like the alien-ish voice effect used through a few of the episodes, and the background music is something I can really enjoy. There's a few classical piano backing tracks and it fits in phenomenally well with the anime.
Now, I honestly don't expect too many, or really any, "helpful" review hits just based on the fact that I've only seen a quarter of the show. I just wanted to start writing because this show is pretty interesting. I hope that if you do vote now, you check back again and reread it once it's updated. Thanks.

Now that I've finished crying, I can attempt to write a review. This isn't going to be an in-depth review, but I will say that you should watch it to decide if you like it on your own.
I've lost a few people so far in my life, and I guess I can kind of understand a lot of the emotions in the story. I never really show my emotions too much, but this anime kept getting me so emotional and about to cry. The last episode really did it for me. I was trying to hold it all back, but tears started streaming down my
...
face. I can't comprehend how still. Obviously, the story definitely had an impact on me and for that, I'll give it an 8/10. There were too many obvious ways that Menma could have communicated early on, and because she didn't take the obvious route, I took off 2 points. Sure, the story might have been a lot less interesting, but I don't like it when there's plot holes or overlooked common sense.
The characters were pretty well thought out as well. The whole anime was situated around people who all had feelings for each other, and then there was Poppo. It was pretty funny seeing their reactions to everything, and getting a picture of what actually happens when people grow up. People change, and this story showed that; but deep down inside, everyone is really the same. That last sentence didn't make as much sense as I would have liked it to, but that aside, the story and characters were great.
The art and sound were similar to many other anime, I don't feel like anything really stuck out too much. Because of that, I labeled them similar to what I'd label other animes with the same style of art and sound.
Overall, I'll give the anime a 7/10. It's not every day that something could make me shed tears, but this one did it. I enjoyed it, and hope all the people watching it in the future (or after reading my review!) do as well.

Mirai Nikki, aka Future Diary, was a show that I am still kind of unsure about. This show is the embodiment of what being psychotic seems to be.
Honestly, my favorite part of this entire anime was the intro and its music. I LOVED it. The intro from episodes 1 - 12 (or 13) was great. I suppose the music fits whatever kind of genre I listen to. From then on, it was good, but nothing like the opening one. The sound throughout the show was great as well. I enjoyed it.
The characters were pretty well thought out. I tried to figure out Yuno's secret
...
as best I could before they revealed it, and I was completely stumped. Didn't see that coming. I liked how the people progressed, especially Kousaka, he was probably my favorite character based on his development. On that note, the overall development of characters (besides Yukiteru, which I'll get to next) was great.
As I mentioned, I didn't like Yukiteru's development. There's no way a sane human being would fall in love the way he does. No way, unless said person was a complete psycho, which seems to be a common element in this series. I can't describe much without spoilers, so I will digress.
Okay, so I kind of have this thought which kind of contradicts the main "events" from the show. The future diaries showed the future, yes, but wouldn't them showing the future alone cause the future to change? Therefore, every time they looked at their phones, there should have been static. Knowledge is power, and that alone should change the future. And if they actually were future diaries, then that is exactly what should have happened anyways. It's just something that came into my head, but something like that would not only destroy the plot, but it would also make everything boring, so they couldn't do that.
All in all, I didn't mind watching it. Could I have skipped it and watched another one (or two) different animes? Sure. This was something outside of what I normally watch. I guess I would compare it with Elfen Lied. Anyways, if you decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy. Thanks for reading.

I feel the best way I can sum it up would be in a pros and cons list:
Pros:
- Good intro, I really liked the way the plot started.
- Arata: A Main Character who isn't as dense as lead, and was also hilarious. One thing that I realized I liked was that he wasn't as overpowered as any other anime would have made him.
- Aiko: One of the supporting characters in the Trinity Seven. There was something different about her from other female characters of any anime. She stood out to me the most (besides MC).
Cons:
- Horrible plot development. Just so messy.I almost dropped it because
...
it bothered me that much.
- The amount of fan service. I do like a bit myself, but there comes a point where it's too much. Trinity Seven goes past that point.
- Every female character, other than Aiko.
- Character development was atrocious. Nothing was explained well. For example, what are any of the "processes"? What actual powers do the grimories have?
- Hijiri: To not include any spoilers, I won't describe much. As I watched, I just wanted to say what the actual F? If you decide to watch the anime, you'll understand.
I will say that this anime is on the lower end of my spectrum of choice. I think that the story would have been executed better in a longer season.

This anime was so great, that I decided I would write a review about it. My FIRST review. I watch quite a bit of anime, but I have never felt so much from one to decide to write one.
I'll be blunt, there were two main reasons why this show is a masterpiece. The first is the amount of connection that I felt with the characters. There were times that I almost cried and there were times where I couldn't stop smiling. I wanted to feel more of that, I wanted to feel the involvement. The connection with the characters was the key to its success.
The
...
characters weren't by any means the only reason. The story line was also superb. I started watching the show thinking, "I bet I can find a flaw with it!" Why? I don't know why myself.. But I continued, and the story was so complete. It was everything I wanted from a show and more.
I love the idea of time-travel, but I believed it was too tricky to write a story about it well. I was shown that it is possible. The whole idea in Steins;Gate really worked out well. Even though I knew there were going to be some "crazy" moments (there usually is when talking with time-travel), there were parts where my jaw literally dropped. The things you may never imagine, could happen. That's all I feel I can say without spoilers.
All in all, this show deserves 10/10, it's truly a masterpiece.
********** WATCH THE MOVIE AFTER THE SERIES! IT IS WORTH IT!!!! There's things in the movie that will clear up any discrepancy about the anime, and make you say out loud, "Oh my God, that was genius."
