Yo. Whiteflame here.
Older anime watcher who has a pretty broad history with the medium. Always have way too much to watch, but happy to get recommendations.
I post a lot more details on my AniList profile about my various anime passions, including an extensive list of favorites and included some favorites among anime OPs, OSTs and AMVs. Here, I mainly participate in clubs and do anime reviews.
In terms of what I watch, I largely keep up with seasonals and work through a backlog that never seems to get shorter.
Feel free to message me just to strike up a conversation.

- Also, interesting about Yaiba only being 9 episode long. I had not heard about that. I wonder if they are worried about sales or if they had production issues and decided to shorten the season, as opposed to releasing an unfinished product? You don't see too many 9 episode seasons.
I watched the first episode of Yaiba and I enjoyed the art and animation particularly. I try to watch everything WIT puts out. I did put it on-hold though. I can already tell it will be a series I enjoy more watching in a marathon session.
I don't like this Wind Breaker season much at all. I have it as a 4 now and I doubt it gets any higher. I wasn't big on the first season of Wind Breaker though, tbh. Gave it a 5. It is similar to Solo Leveling for me. The fight scenes and animation are nice, but I'm just constantly rolling my eyes at everything in-between, lol. People like to bash Tokyo Revengers, but I liked it a lot better than Wind Breaker.
Fresh new anime season upon us. Figured we could exchange some seasonal thoughts again, if you were down. I was going to do a follow-up for last season, but never got around to it. :P
Anyway, here is what I got so far from the shows we are both watching...
I was waiting to see when you’d finally watch and review it. Mmm… and yeah, I feel the same way — the story is weird and doesn’t explain anything clearly. There were so many episodes where I was just like, “What the heck?! That’s it?! Seriously?! And then what?!” As for the L-Zone… yeah, I had the same thoughts as you, haha. And then in the ending — all the main guy did was touch Mary and that was it. Everything just ended right there. (Even though the story kind of hinted that Jack could control or communicate with other SEEDs through touch…) But… that’s all?! 😧
I gave it a 7 but that score had nothing to do with the story. I liked the visuals, some of the characters, and the way they used cloaks and engraved weapons in the fight scenes — it looked really cool. (Honestly, I wanted to give it a 6.5, but there wasn’t an option for that.) I do feel a little disappointed overall.
Nice review (for you) anyway 😀👍🏻
Nice list btw
The anime is the same (direct sequel), but the changes were too much for me to take; the build up from the 1st season is suddenly no more in the 2nd season and quickly I lost all interest and end up feeling bored. It was not as exciting, and not because of Jinka; but the overall atmosphere and excitement of season 1 had me more invested.
I can't say much about the 2nd season because I dropped it after episode 9; maybe I did drop too early? But I confess I had lost interest before that, but I was hopeful so that is why I kept watching. As a veteran, I could feel that much wouldn't change that would make me enjoy this more, but I could be wrong though...
Anyway, thumbs up your review, and until sometime!
I wasn't expecting a miniature biography of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes," but I appreciate it. The reason I asked for your opinion was to gauge your enjoyment of the show, and it seems like you’re enjoying it. Honestly, I just wanted to watch the show to see what it's like as a piece of media. After I wrote my previous comment, I did some digging and found out you were right about its focus on political topics, as all the related discussions mentioned that aspect. I’m not the biggest fan of heavy political things since watching "Code Geass" gave me a genuine headache, but it was worth it for the ending. I genuinely appreciate your comment and your effort in providing links that connect to the series. So far I’ve watched the first episode, and I didn’t find it too bad, it reminds me of the old "Star Wars" movies.
Again -- thank you, the comment is appreciated.
