Hey! Thanks for the comment. I struggle heavily with animes that pick up slow such as bleach and steins;gate, it's one of those things that if I have the time and energy to actually give them a further try I will, but just gotta find the motivation to do so. Regardless, I'll eventually get around to it. Happy to hear you agree with my no game no life review lol.

I respect your respect, and I defo get what your saying. To be fair, I find comedy is the most subjective genre of anime. If you don't find something funny, it isn't as easy to argue than poor writing for example. You can pick out points where the writing seems weak but if you dont find something funny, all you can say is "It just isn't funny to me". I don't know man, I am waffling like crazy, but hey, I respect that you like it, and I am happy you found more enjoyment in it than I did.

There are other criteria that I take into consideration. I just feel this way. I would rate it higher than 8 if it delved into deeper issues or problems. I've just started reading the manga, and it seems like the story takes its time to build a fun and engaging beginning that gradually brings you closer to the title. Then, in the few chapters after the anime's ending, it delves into more serious issues, allowing you to become more connected with the characters.

Because Grand Blue had substance bro. The story in Prison School was so bad, legit the only thing going for that show was all the fanservice, but when thats all your show has, it gets soooo boring. Obviously they are similar in "comedy style" ways, except Grand Blue's humour felt...thought out? Like it had a shred of intelligence?

Opinions are opinions of course, I ain't tryna change yours. I got a lot of bad takes I am sure, but hey, we like what we like and we dislike what we dislike

i saw one episode and decided to drop it purely on the basis of the graphics quality it felt like a powerpoint presentation so none of the rating translates to the story, but i do plan on reading the manga when i find the time since i heard good things about it
