Hello hello! I'm rewriting my review. I'm at chapter 10 currently and I LOVE IT. Summary: You'll love this manga if:
You're into possessive guys, almost to the point of yandere-ish.
You love strong female leads
You're into mafia and
if you're into good art (okay it's subjective but)
I think Raise wa Tanin ga Ii is slowly getting more readers and I'm glad!
You might not like it if there's a lot of dialogue.
Story-
I'm probably really biased because I'm SUPER into mafias, bounty hunters and assassin love stories so it's an 8. Both the main characters are from mafia families and are supposed to marry each other in
...
order to bring peace between their two families who have been "at war" for 60 years. Therefore, our main female Yoshino moves to Tokyo where her fiance is and leaves Osaka, her birthplace. There, she realizes that Kirishima isn't the gentleman she thought he was.
Art-
I love, love the art! I feel like Asuka sensei's art has always had a special place in my heart ever since I've read haru no noroi. The art is pretty unique as I haven't seen any artist draw a character's eyebrows so well! Did I mention Kirishima's forearms? Holy shi-
Character-
Yoshino is a rather noisy, cheerful and a tiny bit dramatic person. At first, her drama queen trait got onto my nerves, but after a while, I got used to it. She seems very gentle at first, but when she gets angry she's a completely different person. She's sometimes very reckless.
Kirishima is quiet, very smiley, and that's why he's very dangerous. At first, I thought he was just a normal kid but as the story progressed it shows that he really is a ruthless killer and that he could kill, even without any weapons. Did I mention that he's a masochist?
Enjoyment-
I binge read all 9 chapters in less than an hour and I'm extremely deprived right now because it's not enough. I kinda wish that I found out about this manga later so I wouldn't be suffering so much right now, but oh well.
Overall- 8
In a sentence, I really enjoyed it!!!

In summary, I really enjoy reading Kakao 79%. I know I haven't even read up till the latest chapter and I'm probably really biased now, but I just wanted to write a review.
You'll probably enjoy this story very much if you love cliches, childhood friends falling in love with each other and some drama and angst threw in there (mmMMmMmMm angst). The female lead is strong and independent and I love her for that. The male lead is handsome and I love how precious the lead female is to him. Bonus: He's hot (Of course he has to be).
You probably WON'T like it if the
...
girl is dense and takes her 100+ chapters to realize a dude is attracted to her, and if you're used to reading black and white manga you might not be used it because it's full colored.
Without further ado, let's start the review!
Story:
It's the same old cliched story where a character falls in love with their childhood friend, and they try to make them see that they "don't want to be just friends" and stuff. You know, the normal. The male lead falls in love with the female lead and he's absolutely smitten... I LOVE IT.
From young till present, Yuu and Tsubasa have been neighbors and inseparable. Due to Yuu being extremely popular with the girls, Tsubasa has been bullied quite a lot because she's by his side due to their jealousy. Therefore when they got into high school, she's determined to make female friends buuuuut...
ANYWAY, one of the reasons why I REALLY love this series is because of the pacing. It isn't too rushed.
Art:
To me, I think it's cute! It's actually like the normal manga art, but full colored. It's more like a webtoon? Kinda like ReLife. Sometimes when there are funny moments, the artist draws them really funnily and I have so many screenshots of them.
As you read on, you can actually see the development in the artist's art and there is nothing more satisfying about that. The colors become so much more vibrant as compared to when I first started it, in which the characters look kinda dead. The characters all looked sickly due to the coloring but I'm glad it improved.
Character:
Tsubasa: Strong, athletic, always helping others, really puts herself out there. Innocent. PURE. Super cheerful and loud, sometimes very awkward around people, can't lie well, the opposite of her childhood friend.
Yuu: Glutton, seems collected and calm but is actually not (It's kinda like a RBF). Have I told you he's really smart? Basically in love with Tsubasa. Has been trying to contain his affections for her but it's no longer gonna work because it's been too long, and when I say too long, I mean from kindergarten to high school. He's trying to be gentle and not rush things but sometimes he really can't help it.
Enjoyment:
I really enjoy reading this series. It may be too soon for me to review this, but I will come back and review it if I feel like the story slowly turns bad. So far so good, as stated above, the pacing is good and the development as well. I'm really enjoying it.
Overall, I give it an 8. I don't want to be overly biased and give it like a 9 or 10, because it's a simple love story, and because it hasn't ended yet.
I hope that if you read this, you'll enjoy it as much as I do!

This is Gintama, but webtoon version.
The story starts out fun. It's all jokes and laughs. And then it's not. All of a sudden, things quickly turn dark really, really quickly. The laughter turns into tears, the jokes turn into sadness.
This is a tale of twisted love stories.
Story- 8
The story is set in a world where almost everyone is a "mix", granting them abilities. For example, one of the characters inside is half otter half human. Yeah, it sounds weird but for some reason, it blends in naturally. It's sort of like Boku no hero academia. Anyway, our main lead Naga has a pretty powerful
...
and useful ability and is scouted by this hero organization called spoon. That's right, spoon. And then we have the villain organization called knife. That's right. Knife. Guess what's next? Yup, fork. Fork is a talent agency.
Art- 7
Not great to be honest. However, you can see that it gradually improves, like any other artist's art. So it's more of a journey rather than a start of "WOW THIS ART IS AMAZING ASDHKSGF".
Character- 8
Every character is unique and lovable (Well, not everyone is lovable but they add to the enjoyment of the story)
"Sign me up!" *Finger gun* - We have Naga, powerful but yet extremely lazy. HE CAN LITERALLY LIFT A BUILDING WITH A LIFT OF A FINGER. He's a pure cinnamon roll who wants the best for others. When his eyes open, you're dead.
"Please love me" - Morae Baek, the main villain and the leader for Fork. He's kind of twisted in an innocent way. He can't die. His power is purification.
"SYLVIAAAAAA!!" - Guineung. Panda mix. He's an otaku and has the power of copycat. "
"It was all his idea" - Dana, leader of Spoon, and my waifu. She has supernatural strength and tries protects the members of spoon at all costs. She seems cold and apathetic, but she actually cares a lot. I LOVE HER.
"I wath thrying to cath a fwy and my hanth thlipped" - Sasa. A human and bird (?) / raven (?) mix. Can fly. Quiet and seems extremely intimidating, but is actually very gentle and has a lisp. Absolutely hilarious when it first appears in the webtoon. Also a pure cinnamon roll.
"What do summoning circles look like again?" - Hyena, a child but is mature for her age. She's a witch. You'd think that she's cute and cries easily but nope. She's not fragile at ALL. She only cries when the people around her are hurt. Also, she's savage.
This is the main cast. Other cast members include angels and a cockroach butler who somehow managed to date one of the angels and one of the antagonists who is almost as powerful as Naga. Kinda twisted.
Enjoyment- 9
I've laughed, I've cried. 10/10 will go through it again.
Overall- 8
I would recommend this to anyone who has patience. The first few chapters are just fun and jokes but you'll have to wait until around the 50th chapter to get warmed up to the plot (Trust me, it seems long but isn't). That's when the story turns serious and when the tears start.

"Don't judge a book by its cover," is what everybody says.
This story is about how unattractive people in the world survive and deal with bullying and criticism every day.
Please take note that there are 2 versions of this, and the names are different in both. For example, HyungSuk=Daniel
HaNeul=Zoe
MiJin=Mira
Story:
I haven't read anything quite like Lookism, so I was instantly hooked by the unique storyline. Daniel is a fat, unattractive guy and is bullied every day. Therefore he transfers to another school to avoid the bullies. One day before he starts school, he wakes up to be extremely handsome, fit, strong, everything a man wants to be,
...
and everything a woman wants in a man.
Art:
I'll be honest, I hated the art at the beginning. It wasn't like the normal big-eyes characters in normal manhwa/ manga that I was used to, therefore I did not like it much. It was a cross between realistic art and comic art. However as the story progresses on, I found myself loving the art style.
Characters:
Here are the characters I am proud of
Daniel:
The main character, Daniel, is bullied every day and is ungrateful to his mother.
He was a sheep in front of the bullies but an asshole towards his mother. Therefore I was extremely annoyed with him and did not like him much.
I thought that, since he turned attractive, he would turn into an even bigger asshole, but no.
Daniel started to change for the better.
He helped people, he started to be nice and he began to inspire people to be better people themselves.
He started to appreciate his mother more.
He got a part-time job, earned money and provided for his mother.
Zoe:
A girl infatuated with Daniel (after he turned handsome)
When she sees the previous Daniel, she is disgusted, not knowing that they're the same person.
But after getting saved by ugly Daniel, she starts to like him romantically, instead of handsome Daniel. At first, she was in denial, but she accepts that Ugly Daniel is a great guy and continues to like him. She starts to treat other people better.
The characters I love:
Vasco
My sweet, innocent child, Vasco.
Bullied when he was younger, he now strives to be stronger in order to protect the weak. He becomes close friends with Ugly Daniel when Ugly Daniel told him that he wants to be stronger and starts exercising with him
Jay
Quiet and gentle, he has helped Handsome Daniel infinite times without him even knowing it.
Duke
Unattractive and fat like Ugly Daniel. However, he does not let this drag him down. He aspires to be a rapper and works extremely hard towards his goal. Even though he gets bullied every day, he never gave up even once.
Mira and Zack
Holy cow, do I ship them. They are childhood friends and Zack has had a crush on her since forever.
To be honest, I love everyone in this webtoon. Their growth and development throughout the webtoon have made me so proud of them all.
Enjoyment:
I love, love, LOVE lookism, because it shows how life is in reality. (Besides the fact that Daniel just woke up one day being the most handsome guy on earth)
It does not sugarcoat anything.
It shows how no matter what you do, if you're unattractive, you're going to have difficulty, especially in school.
Overall:
It's amazing. I really don't know what else to say.

Warning: I'm pretty average at reviews.
Summary of my review:
You'll highly enjoy this if you enjoy romance& if you like yanderes and possessive male leads. The female lead is extremely kind and soft-hearted, and even though I love her, it gets on my nerves sometimes because... well, read it and you'll know. As you read on the plot starts making sense, and it makes your overall experience better, and it will break your heart, knowing Kailak's situation.
You will also enjoy it if you're an angst enthusiast that LOVES pain. Because as you progress through the story, a lot will start bubbling up.
Story - 8
I am a
...
person who likes the romance genre. A lot. So the romance is what reeled me in from the start.
After a while, the plot starts to deepen, and that's how things started making a lot of sense, and soon I wasn't just into the romance anymore. Of course, the romance was the main reason why I love this manhwa so much, but the plot just made it better.
Art - 8
It's the normal manhwa art. Full colored etc. It's really nothing special, but the way the author created the character design (clothes, eyes etc) was amazing. It truly fit the character's personalities.
Character - 8
Characters were beautifully designed and drawn, as stated above. I really love all of them (so far) except for Prince (I don't even bother with his name because he's horrible but I know it starts with an L lol). The characters I thought I'd hate, I began to love. And the characters I thought had potential, I began to hate. Names are a tiny bit difficult to remember but it gets easier as you go on.
Enjoyment - 9
Let's just say I read all 140 chapters non-stop. It was a binge fest.
I regret it now though because I realised that there's a whole whopping 40 CHAPTERS NOT TRANSLATED I BEG Of YOU, TRANSLATORS, PLEASE, I NEED MORE.
This manhwa made me feel happiness, giddiness, sadness, hate, and heartbreak.
All in all, it was a rollercoaster.
Even if was painful, I enjoyed it.
Overall- 8
I highly recommend this manhwa. Join me in my suffering!!!

Let me tell you something about Fruits Basket.
You learn a LOT from this manga.
I am SO glad I decided to read this manga. I don't think I have loved a manga so much before. The amount of tears I've shed for this manga is unreal but I have no regrets whatsoever because it was SO WORTH IT. I would gladly shed a whole ocean for it if it were possible.
I am in pain. But it is a good pain.
I'm just saying that the moment I thought "Which manga should I write a review for?" I instantly thought of Fruits Basket.
How do you know
...
if you'll enjoy it??
If you're an angst enthusiast (like me), sign up now.
You'll also enjoy it if you like slow developing types of love.
It's not the type of romance that gives you butterflies, but the type of love that warms your whole being up. The one that makes you say "I want to fall in love with someone, slowly. And when I realise it, it's already too late."
This manga is, and forever will be my favorite manga. The way Honda Tohru spreads love and kindness in the manga really affected me and made me want to try being a better person. The art might not be very good, but it is a manga that had made me laugh, felt warm inside, and made me flood my room with my tears (from joy and sadness). It is a manga that made me feel all three at once.
The character development is amazing as well. You can see the character's behaviours changing.
I hope that you'll read it and understand that sometimes what cannot be said and expressed on a review must be felt.
Story
In my opinion, is pretty original. Before furuba I've never come across a manga even touching the topic of the zodiac signs. And, most of the time, trying something new isn't good. However, it worked out for this manga.
The starting is good, got me hooked immediately. The in-between is pretty consistent, it doesn't suddenly go downhill unlike some manga which starts off really well but ends really badly.
The ending is one of the endings which I cried out of HAPPINESS. I rarely do that. The only other manga which I cried out happiness of was "Hana to Akuma". (I recommend it!!! It's really good!)
Art
The art isn't EXTREMELY well done. You don't get the slim ankles and normal well-defined bodies like in the "normal" mangas, but the story does make up for it.
However, you get used to it after a while and it somehow becomes appealing.
Character
My favorite part of a review where I can diss and curse characters!!!!
Every character is drawn exactly how they will act. Like, you see Tohru and you just KNOW she's going to be a pure cinnamon roll. And you see Kyo and you just KNOW he's the wounded type. I guess this kind of overlaps with the art category but I felt like it's more appropriate to be in character.
And when you see Akihiko you know he's the type you will beg not to approach the other characters.
Other than the way they're portrayed, the way they have their goods and bads even out the entire story and accumulates to how the manga became a masterpiece in the end. It all connects and slowly builds up to become a masterpiece. Get what I mean?
Enjoyment
Binge read it!! Then regretted it later on because there's no more.
Overall
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I know it's one of my earlier mangas that I've read, but I know that none in the future can ever beat this one.
I hope this review helps you!!!
