The story follows a little bar in a secluded corner of Ginza district named 'Eden Hall'. It's operated by Ryu Sasakura, a genius bartender with a special talent of mixing cocktails that can relieve his customers' discomfort by putting each of their souls at ease. This unmatchable talent of his earned him the nickname 'Glass of the God'. His drinks work like healing potions for each of his customers whenever they come to Eden Hall to share their problems with Ryu.
Bartender is a slow placed episodic anime with 11 standalone episodes. Each of the episodes are focused on supporting characters with different backgrounds and their
...
stories. The anime doesn't have any overarching plot or story arcs as it's focused on single episode storytelling. One of it's main themes is 'Iyashikei', which is considered to be a sub genre of slice of life. Iyashikei anime(s) are made to have a healing effect on the general audience by creating a soothing atmosphere for them. Being an Iyashikei anime, Bartender succeeds at providing a calm and peaceful environment for its viewers with it's laid back nature.
The anime does a great job at depicting a bartender's work, which is formulating and serving alcohol or beverages to their customers while providing them with a peaceful environment to be in and guiding them to the right path to solve each of their problems. The origin and background of each of the beverages shown in the anime were explained thoroughly in the episodes. Our main character, Ryu Sasakura was given more screentime than any of the other character as each of the episodes was dedicated to only one or two characters. The animation's what you'd expect from a 2006 anime, nothing too special or visually pleasing. What truly stands out in terms of animation in the series is the cg used in some certain scenes where Ryu was shown mixing the cocktails with pure excellence. This anime features instrumental jazz music alongside piano soundtracks which are refreshing to listen to. The background music changes with the mood of our characters and the overall vibe of the show.
Bartender's not a show everyone can appreciate as it's not made for everyone. It's not a story driven show, so the pacing might upset people who are not used to this kind of anime. I enjoyed the anime very much despite having no particular knowledge about bars and alcohol. Would recommend this to people who love anime(s) with a healing effect and calm environment providing therapy to it's audience.

Blue Period is an anime about the overall journey of an aspiring artist called Yaguchi Yatora. Yaguchi is a hardworking student with good academic results. The anime revolves around Yaguchi following his dream of being an artist and trying to fulfill it while also being distracted by the difficulties he has to suffer from in the alleged field.
I'd give the story a 9/10 rating. The story was inspired from the author's own journey as an artist. I don't have much idea about what an artist has to go through to make a name for themselves in the certain field, or how they can establish themselves
...
by being in this field since I'm not an artist myself. But still, Blue Period felt so realistic at times for me that I felt like I was the one drawing and painting in the place of Yaguchi. I felt like I was experiencing all the things he did in the anime. The phrase 'Blue Period' also refers to Pablo Picasso's own struggles as an artist. So being a Picasso fan, the anime felt closer to my heart.
I'd give the characters a 9/10 as well. Personally, I could feel myself being relatable to Yaguchi so much that I was shocked. The way he always had to wear a fake persona to try to be friendly with other people, the way he always tried to do things perfectly, the way he felt inferior to other people because their art was better, it all seemed familiar to me. I'm not an artist like Yaguchi, but I could still feel him being similar to me. Not just Yaguchi, but all the other characters were refreshing to watch as well. Yaguchi's friends and partners in the journey Ryuuji, Yotasuke, Hashida, Maki everyone had a similar glow in their faces whenever they were associated with art. All of them had dreams they wanted to fulfill like Yaguchi and they also tried harder and harder to achieve it. I was inspired by each one of them and I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. Yaguchi's school art club teacher and his cram school teacher Ooba sensei played an important role in giving him the right direction towards him dreams.
I think the artstyle in this anime was pale in comparison to the manga. I really love Yamamori Mika's artstyle as a mangaka, she tries her best to express the characters' emotions and it all feels too real to me as she does it. But the anime did a poor job in this aspect and I felt like a lot of people lost their interests in the anime because of it. I'd give the anime's artstyle a 7/10.
Now, the soundtrack of the anime was superb in my opinion. The opening 'Everblue' by Omoinotake is one of the best pieces of Japanese Music I've heard till now. The lyrics smoothly conveyed Yaguchi's feelings towards his dreams. The beats and the vocals were great as well. I still listen to this song in loop, I just can't stop. The ending song 'Replica' was great as well. The soundtrack is definitely 10/10 for me.
Even if you're not an artist, even if you don't have any kind of strong sentiment towards art, please give Blue Period a try. Its not a suggestion, its a request. I want this anime to be recognised by more people since it isn't getting much recognition due to other popular animes being aired this season. Let us all support Yaguchi in following his dreams and making a name for himself.

[Spoilers Ahead]
'Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryouku' is different from any other manga I've read. It's about two young girls named 'Chito' and 'Yuuri' going on a journey in a post-apocalyptic world.
In this journey, both of the girls met some people including humanoid robots and took different kinds of lessons from them. As they keep on going to find their destination, they end up questioning their existence and wonder about how the afterlife would be. They find themselves struggling several times in this journey and strive to survive. But they promise themselves to keep on going on their kettenkrad untill they reach their destination.
It was a melancholic story
...
with wholesome and cute girls. They were super brave to keep their journey ongoing even when there wasn't any hope for them. It was both a happy and sad experience for me.I found myself crying at some points and the story really moved me. The best part of this manga was the girls' willpower to survive. They kept working hard to find means to survive. Even when they were running out of foods and their means of transportation stopped working, they still didn't give up and kept the promise they made to their grandpa about reaching the highest place.
Chito and Yuuri were completely different from each other. Chito was serious and disciplined and Yuuri was lively and cheerful. Both of them were wholesome enough to make anyone like them in just a few chapters. They were the best part of the whole manga for sure. They used to fight a lot with each other but whenever they were in trouble, they held each others hands to assure them that nothing was gonna happen. It felt like they were luckier than Kanekawa and Ishii because they had each other at times of danger and they weren't lonely at all.
This story actually had a happy ending since they were able to reach their destination at the end. All they could say at the end was "It was better that we survived, right?" It truly was a golden experience for me. I don't have any experience writing reviews, so this might seem pretty bland but all I can say is this is one of my favourite mangas of all time!

[Spoilers Ahead]
'Steins;Gate' is one of my favourite animes of all time and I loved it from the bottom of my heart.Waching this was a truly great and memorable experience for me.
First of all,the opening of this show called 'Hacking to the gate' was a banger for me and I never skipped it.I couldn’t understand the language but still felt like singing and dancing whenever I heard it.
The characters were just right in the place for me.Each one of then had their own backstories which gave significance to the story.Okabe and Kurisu were for sure my favourite ones but I also liked everyone of them.At first, the
...
main protagonist Okabe seemed like a crazy and weird person to me for the way he acted all the time. But as the story progressed,I finally realized why he acted that way.The reason I respect him is because he's always genuinely caring about the people around him especially Kurisu, his love interest and Mayuri, his childhood friend. He always came to their rescue whenever they were in trouble which I most definitely appreciate about him.Kurisu was just 'IT' for me.The way she talked, the way she walked and the way she was always there to support Okabe,it was truly magnificent. That's how she became my most favourite waifu.Daro was the most funniest character in this show for me.The way he obsessed for his waifus made him relatable to me.Mayuri,Faris,Suzuha,Urushibara,Moeka everyone was likeable and great.
The plotline in itself was really interesting. The idea of timemachines have always came across human minds and it's not a unique concept at all,but it was still really enjoyable to me.Starting from a microwave and phonewaves to a real time-travelling machine,It really was a wonderful journey. The first few episodes might seem a bit slow-placed,but it slowly starts getting better and better and then it gets you hooked in the story. So the people who dropped this in this first few episodes missed watching a really great show in my opinion. The animation was also great and gave the storyline significance too.
I might seem a bit toxic saying such cheesy and sweet stuff for this show, but that's just how I feel about this.So if anyone feels offended,I apologise. To the peoole who dropped this or haven't watched this yet,I recommend you to definitely give it a try!I'm sure you'll appreciate it too.
