Constructive criticism would be appreciated through PM or on my profile.

There's 70% chance for an earthquake with magnitude 7.0 to happen in Tokyo in the next 30 years. Hinted by the title, Tokyo Mangitude 8.0 tries to show us what would happen if the quake is with magnitude 8.0. Last year Japan suffered 9.0 earthquake which wasn't in Tokyo but managed to shake the whole world.
Despite the settings and the title the best part of this series isn't the quake that occurs at the end of the first episode. Actually if I wrote review about Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 after finishing episode 7 it would cover
...
the relatively slow pace of the story and the lightweight mood of the anime. Nevertheless, I would feel liable to point that Bones really managed to show realistic public reaction to the quake, which was similar to the real events of last year. I would to say a positive word about the strange characters and the funny robots.
Fortunately Bones never let me down and they are showing such a dynamics in the last 3-4 episodes, that changes the whole series. Don't worry, you won't see crazy rescue robots, or huge tsunami. You'll see only something, that I don't want to spoil for your, because it's real pleasure. I'll just say that I was so close to cry at the end.
Thanks to the art during the whole series I had some Eden of the East flashbacks, mostly because both animes have really strong story and strange, almost ugly, drawing which strengthens the story. The main difference between the two is in the background which is on extremely high level in Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. The details you see in the collapsing buildings, Tokyo set on fire or the collapsing Tokyo Tower are amazing. As the expense of this is the character design which is stunningly strange. Strange proportions and sometimes impossible positions of the characters are present almost always, but after episode or two it stops bothering you.
I'm big fan of abington bys school since the first Darker Than Black, so I'll let the opening, performed by them, without comment. However, the ending is something to prise. Performed by Shion Tsuji, the track M/elody brings positivism and freshness and I'll be glad to play this song, even if it's little too gooey. The background music is doing it's job without standing out with something special while the seyuus leave only positive feelings. The biggest shock for me was Kobayashi Yumiko who gives voice to Yuki and to one of my favourite characters - Black Star of Soul Eater.
The combination of strong story, off-beat art and perfect directing and voicing makes Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 really good anime, that touches you in a way only Japanese art is capable. Gently, unobtrusive and compelling. The three words that actually describe the impression left by it.

Kami-sama... why you let those people do this...
Really. For an anime lasting for less than hour to be able to to such things to a person... this one really made me worried about my life and asking myself why I'm doing this to me? It's not just bad one. It's really awfully, epicly stupid. There's some kind of vampire story, which sounds very nice and catches the eye. But most of the time (which is less than hour)is given to stupid talks, which doesn't tell us what the heck it's going on, what happened in the past or what it's going to happen. And the
...
worst of all it's that in the end there's still a sign "To be continued...". This puts Legend of Duo on the Everest of unfinished stories in anime... and not only. Which makes me to hate the "story". The characters are drawn pretty nice, but this ANIME looks more like picture drama. May be even it's a picture drama, because there's nothing but changing pictures and few flashes here and there, which isn't very good for anime. The sounds it's there and doesn't make any impression. Yeah, not even bad one, which, may be, it's a bless from the creators. Same goes for the characters. The only thing you'll remember after watching this it's that the characters are some kind of vampires or something, that are like lovers, but not exactly. Nothing unseen or unhated already.
If there's some enjoyment in losing one hour of your live, feel free to do it, but I'll say it only once - STAY AWAY FROM THIS. It's not just bad. It's not even stupid. It's the worst thing after yaoi, that every normal person could see.

Seiken no Blacksmith is anime that sounds very good when you look the descriptions. It says that there will be an adventure, but doesn't says that the adventure will be so boring.
Story - 3/10
Fantasy world with demons, demon swords and some mysterious people. Sounds very nice, but the way that the story develops it's everything but nice. The demons are the usual, the sword too, not to mention the main antagonist - "the man in black"... and this is not the worst. The main characters are also the usual strong boy and weak knight, the only "new" it's that the knight it's a female character.
...
The development of the story it's boring and predictive, and the end it's in my personal top 3 of worst ends.
Art - 7/10
This is may be the best part of this anime. The characters are drawn very well, and are easy to remember their appearances. I don't really like the hairdo of Luke and this funny "armor" of Cecilly, which seems to be there only to make the viewer lough. The special effects are the best part of the art - lighting, the spells, and my personal favorite - when Luke forges swords.
Sound - 6/10
This is good too. The opening and ending are nice songs, although I wouldn't listen to them (not my music). The seyuus are good too, although they are nothing memorable. Background music it's there, but doesn't make any impression, so it's good.
Characters - 3/10
Compared to the story characters are good, but in fact they are just stupid and boring. Female knight with big breasts and funny armor, who looks like catches sword for first time in first episode and it's yelling "mamoru desu"(I'll protect...) all over, and over, and over again. Male blacksmith, who is kind of bad-ass, but later very emotional and deep character with good feelings. Female demon sword complaining about how bad destiny she have, and how she want's to live peaceful life. Those are the good, and the bad are even worse. Some "man in black" who at the end reveals to be kind of absolutely non mysterious guy and kind of well known bad guy. Even the secondary characters are cliche after cliche.
Enjoyment - 4/10
If this was my first anime, may be I would think it was good, but it's not and everything in it it's well known and I've seen it numerous times before. If it wasn't the good art and the studio I would never end this, and now I kind of regret i did it.
Overall - 5/10
This is one of the worst animes I ever watched, and the worst thing it's that it's made by Manglobe, studio with animes like Samurai Champloo and Ergo Proxy in it's catalog. Really, don't waste your time with this, just go out and bang your head against some wall... it will be less painful.
PS.
Sorry if there are some mistakes, but English it's not my mother language :)
