As a fun fact , these two are my favorite series ever . . && also some of the first few mangas I read ! These two mangas are very different yet very similar . . Starting off , they are both set in a post-apocalyptic plot in which groups of strong characters who are assigned a number based off of their strength were created in order to protect the weak . They both have a lot of action , however Claymore is way more gory . The main protagonists (( which in the future go on to assist the female )) of both of these mangas show an interest (( platonic in one , romantic in the other )) to the non-human female they meet && end up being together all the time to being seperated , however they end up meeting once again . The two main female protagonists both have a sad backstory && want revenge , eventually getting it . They also both are half the monsters they were made to kill && have features different from normal humans that they get shunned for by society . in Claymore , claymores have silver eyes && in Darling in the FranXX , Zero Two has horns . These two have different genres , however I ' m sure if you like one , you ' ll like the other !

I ' m kind of surprised nobody made this recommendation before me . . they share quite a few similarities , oh well ! My time to shine . . Starting off , they are both horror mangas that take place in a school . In another , there ' s a curse of a kid , 26 years prior to the story who was well loved by everyone , however , he died . due to how shocking his death was , nobody wanted to believe it , && they chose not to . They even still believed he was still part of the class . In the graduation photo , the kid who died showed up in it . Ever since then , there ' s been an " extra " person in the class that doesn ' t belong , && then the disasters started . I found it similar to Jisatsu Circle's " cycle " of a deadly legacy to others , in which about 50 teenage girls commit suicide , with 1 surviving to continue Mitsuko ' s legacy . Maybe it ' s just me who sees that similarity . . anyway ! Obviously , they both have a lot of gore / death . Like most horror manga , Jisatsu Circle starts off with a shock factor , making you have the same question I did : " Why did this happen ? " , which I had the same question for Another on the first death . Both of these also have quite a few twists , leading the reader to falsely suspect people . Generally , if you like horror && / or mystery manga , Another is definitely for you . (( && vice versa , of course ))

These 2 are quite similar yet quite different , at least in terms of plot . . Starting off , they are both extremely gory , with every chapter having gore && a lot also having dismemberment && / or decapitation . The gore is always drawn really well . I found Clare && Nyu to be really similar . . they both have sad backstories && lost someone , for Nyu it ' s a bit different && she lost more than one person dear to her and one was lost in a different way , && not permanently which I found kind of similar to Clare && Teresa . If you read Claymore , I think you know what I mean . Appearance wise , they both have short hair that was once long , however it was cut off (( for different reasons )) . They ' re both non-human female protagonists who were modified by humans , made to be a killing machine , not to mention they are both strong females who were made to protect the weak male main character . && my final comparison among them two is that they also want revenge , but for 2 (( two )) different reasons . The male main protagonists of both these mangas are also quite similar . Both their parents are dead , && were killed by non-humans , && also they didn ' t spend time with the female protagonists for long && they were seperated for years . The plots are very different , but both really interesting . . in claymore , there are claymores (( or silver-eyed witches )) who are half-yoma , half-human with powers far beyond a humans who were created to kill yoma . In elfen lied , there are diclonius who are a newly evolved species , arising from && very similar to normal humans , but possessing powers that a normal human doesn ' t have , such as psychokinetic abilities .

As a fun fact , while watching Minami-ke , Kana reminded me heavily of Yoshiko from Aho Girl , so I just had to dig up some similarities and make a review . Well , here ' s the similarities I found ! ♪(^∇^*) Starting off , they both have stupid yet funny protagonists ( Kana && Yoshiko ) , however I find Yoshiko to be stupider . There ' s no real plot to either of these , they ' re both just (( as I like to call them )) comedy gems created for a good laugh every episode . They also both have 3 female characters , however in Aho Girl there ' s also a male protagonist , && instead of all 3 of the female characters being protagonists in Aho girl like there is in Minami-ke , 2 of them are supporting characters , however they still contribute a considerable amount to the story . Generally , if you enjoy comedy , I ' m sure you ' ll enjoy Aho Girl && / or vice versa . They ' re both hilarious gems && as someone who usually watches / reads horror , I found myself loving both of these animes , hell I even ended up reading the Aho Girl manga due to how much I enjoyed the anime ^_^
