more of a mystery than a romance, but, also a question of living in the modern era (particularly in Japan), the only complaint I have about the story is that is can seem unfocused the way it keeps you guessing and doesn't seem totally sure what it is. It's over and I am still not sure exactly how I feel about the story as a whole, but episode to episode it was very enjoyable an always left me wanting more, thus the high rating.
at least in terms of other anime I have seen, this one was felt pretty original. The characters were interesting, though in
...
11 episodes there wasn't time to get to know the secondary characters as well as I would have liked.
I would recommend it for anyone who is in the mood for something different, particularly as since it is 11 episodes, even if you totally disagree with me in the end, you will not have spent that much time on it.

Story: Passing over the ending, this was a cute story without being too silly or irrelevant feeling. The backdrop of space travel and war, kept the character drama from getting over the top, so it was enjoyable rather than too trite, though it was not spectacularly original. It was interesting to see music wedded to science fiction in this way. I was not pleased with the ending, though I will not spoil it. Endings tend to color my view of a story quite a lot, but, I tried not to let it interfere too much since I was eager to watch this story unfold.
Art: The

art was pretty good. I don't have anything specific to say about it really, but, its not like it wasn't enjoyable.
Sound: Music was a large part of this show which was very nice, though as the two of the main characters are pop stars if you hate pop it might be harder to enjoy the sound of this show. I absolutely love "Aimo" and enjoyed the different singers and their tunes changing things up.
Characters: The characters were not extraordinarily developed, but sufficiently so to understand them (with the exception of Grace). I did not enjoy the main characters as much as the supporting characters, though, Sheryl did grow on me slightly toward the end. There was fair amount of Ranka hatred on veoh, which, I can't say I really understood, but, I do think she has the potential to annoy people who dislike naive, innocent, sensitive and defenseless characters. But that put them off her, not the show. Just as Sheryl's initial appearance put me off her, not the show.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this show enough to be impatient for the next episode, though not as much as I was for the next code geass. I was very interested to see this show unfold on the both the personal level (yay love triangles) and the larger level (good old fate of the human race).
Overall: Its hard to make an overall comment because that includes the ending, which I found dreadfully unsatisfying. Still, I do not regret watching the show and enjoyed it along the way. But, if you are looking for mecha battles and sci-fi with music and some good old fashioned teenage drama, this show certainly delivers.

Story: at first I was skeptical about how this second half of Code Geass started, the bizarre replacement in everyone's minds of Nunally with Rolo just struck me as way out there; however, this season does not disappoint at all. It picks up where the first left off in terms of plot twists and keeping you guessing. The ending is simply superb, giving all the right abouts of closure and realism and wrapping up the story nicely without any frivolity but just the right amount of emotion.
Art: I always enjoy CLAMPS designs, but, they are not without their flaws. The perspectives sometimes feel off especially
...
in combination with the impossibly long arms and legs of characters. Still, it is a very minor issue, generally I really enjoyed that art.And somehow the art really seemed to fit Lelouch's character. Less pizza hut advertisements this time around though.
Sound: The opening theme bothered in me in as much as it did not seem to match the series for tone. It is better suited to a high school drama/comedy in my opinion. Otherwise, the sound was good. The voice acting was very enjoyable as well, and, the song before the closing credits on the last episode was beautifully chosen.
Characters: I am not sure how this series managed to give almost the exact right about of time to all the characters, but, it did. There are quite a lot of new characters in this season, in addition to those from last season, and while it would have been nice to see a little more of the Knights of Rounds, I really think this show did an amazing job developing of characters. As for the characters themselves, the cast is truly rich and varied and should have at least one character that appeals to anyone who watches it. The characters are not static however, and continue to go through struggles and change.
Enjoyment: I was tickled pink, and a number of other better colors, by this show. It had everything. I loved every pretty much every moment of this whole series. This season had some truly memorable and delicious moments with delightful twists. And, the ending was terrific, completely satisfying. I love a show that is this original. This season included a period of time where I couldn't decide who's side I was even on anymore, individually or in terms of groups. It was fantastically unpredictable. I'd give it higher score if I could for this category.
Overall: I highly recommend the series to pretty much anyone, as it has something for everyone. That said, if you are looking for the conventional...this is not the show to see. Overall the show was excellent and I waited impatiently each week for the next episode. I also recommending having a buddy who is also watching it, or has recently done so, to discuss it with as you go, its the kind of show you want to talk about.
