They both start out with the human population fearing cannibalistic monsters with human appearance and they are forced to fight them in order to survive, other ways they are similar would result in spoilers so ill skip that. They are also similar in the gore factor.

If you liked Angel Beats! add

...then you might like Shiki add

It may not seem like it but Angel Beats and Shiki do have a few things in common. In both of these anime, the dead come back to life and live in a specific area. In Angel Beats, it's the school while in Shiki it is the small country town everyone lives in. Another thing is the action. There is a bit of fight scenes in both although Shiki is more of a mind game rather than the fighting that goes on in Angel Beats. They both had a sense of mystery as to what the heck was going on too.

both are sports anime and both of their main characters seem average but in reality have a special trick that make them vital parts of their sports team. They also have a certain feel to them when they win or lose. they didnt portray most of the teams as evil or anything, just another team trying their best.
