This is my first time watching Fairy Tail in any capacity, and I figure a spin-off series might not have been the best place to start. I didn't hate watching this anime; in fact, many moments had me hooked just for the fan service aspects. However, I have to be honest and say that this 25-episode-long season was kind of a drag to get through. It was a little boring, unrewarding, and hard to follow. Don't let the deter you, though; Fairy Tale: 100 Year Quest has its moments.

Ranma ½ is an entertaining and adorable anime with a similar message and feeling to this year's Dandadan season. To my understanding, this anime is a remake of an older IP, but I am completely new to this realm.
I really like an anime like this that sets up the rules of the series, but it doesn't take too much brainpower to follow how it affects the dynamic of each character and the plot. This anime was quite addictive. Dandadan contains the exact same kind of magic that was embedded in One Punch Man and Mob Psycho. If you're a fan of either of that two anime, Dandadan is an absolutely a must-watch.
The animation style is unreal. It's very heavy and explosive, always having something eye-catching to amaze you every step of the way. The story is cute and whimsical, which is a cute contrast with how serious and deep the stakes can get. The season ends in such a way that it's obvious a second season will come. Pretty good anime movie, but I can imagine this not sitting right with some viewers. Half of this movie is one long recap for the first season of the show, and the other half is the first two episodes of the upcoming season. People did not like it at all when the producers of Solo Leveling spent one week giving viewers a recap instead of a new episode. Personally, I didn't care about that, but I admit that I was falling asleep during the recap. The new stuff was cool enough to keep my attention the entire time.

A great movie that fans will really like. I think bystanders or friends who tag along with their MHA besties will probably not really get it, but I think they can still enjoy it if they are keen to anime.
The action is so intense and prominent throughout this entire movie that if you have to get up to go pee, you will probably miss out on a key detail. This is one of the best seasons of anime I have ever seen in my life. Look, I can kind of understand what MHA haters are getting at sometimes, but I think this season certainly should shut them up, or at least discredit them. There is essentially no filler in this season. No class sessions, no side quests, nor any recap episodes are to be seen here; it's just pure shonen anime.
Every episode is insanely intense, making me crave for more every single week. I love how perfectly this season ends, setting up the final season absolutely stunningly. Rarely do we get to see ...

One of the best films I've ever seen, so obviously, the same applies when the conversation is about anime. Obviously, with time and technological advancements, anime gets better in general, but I think the animation style of Perfect Blue holds up by today's standards. It looks a tad vintage compared to what we have today, but it still looks sleek and sexy. The first season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is quite a fun ride. At first, it felt a little too chaotic for my liking, but with time, this show will grow on you. The visual aspect of this show alone is enough to attract you, but the hilarious and wild story will keep you watching. There's not too much room for character development in this season, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You don't really grow attached to any specific characters, so you don't really need to see any character development. When you tune into this anime, all you should expect is completely unexplainable craziness.

Ossan Newbie is a simple anime that can be a lot of fun if you let it in. It reminds me a lot of Solo Leveling and even Kaiju No. 8 as far as feeling and weight goes, but obviously, Ossan Newbie is a lot more lighthearted and easygoing. It might even come off a little One Punch man-ish, but that that comparison is loose, in my opinion. Regardless, Ossan Newbie is a fun anime that's one of the highlights of 2024 for me.

Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc is a very weird anime that is also quite rewarding. This is obviously a fighting anime that takes every aspect of that type of anime and turns it up to an 11. This is a silly arc from a silly series, and I suppose I better start watching more of this anime in the future.
