Osomatsu-san
add

Both shows employ a similar manzai-esque boke/tsukkomi type of humor, although Senyuu's is a bit snappier due to the briefness of it's episodes. Both feature a cast of deeply flawed yet very likable characters. They are both upbeat laugh-out-loud comedy anime of a distinctly Japanese style. The obvious differences between them would be Senyuu's fantasy setting verses Osomatsu-san's real world SOL setting, and Senyuu's plot driven nature verses Osomatsu-san's episodic nature. Still, they both give off a similar feel.

Dungeon Meshi

Made in Abyss
add

Both are fantasy/adventure manga that feature a group of heroes that delve deep into a mysterious place (the Abyss and the dungeon) to find a lost relative. The protagonists of both are oddballs with an almost disturbing fascination/reverence of their respective frontiers, and both share an enthusiasm for cooking/eating monsters killed there. In both manga the party is joined by a resident of the strange land who is an expert in survival there. In both manga the characters often make light of dire circumstances. The tone of Dungeon Meshi is much lighter, it being a comedy manga that focuses on cooking, while Made in Abyss is an extremely dark drama. However, the plot similarities are striking. They also both have excellent art, although the art style is quite different.

If you enjoy the intriguing art style of Katanagatari, the feeling of being suspended in a Japanese painting, then you may be interested in checking out Mononoke for a similar, yet completely unique style.
