ok, a disclaimer: sadly im only like, 7 episodes in due to lack of time to watch anime in general, but i really like the anime and it's very good!! the music is really pretty, the story is nice (but a bit melodromatic so if you don't like melodrama it might not be with you), the art (ESPECIALLY THE PASTEL ENDING CARD THINGIES!!) is so pretty, i ADORE the characters, and the themes that they cover are very important and still relevant in today's society (such as homophobia, self harm, parental abuse, neglect, and other things).
the story is about a girl named nanako misonoo, who
...
gets accepted into an all girls school (i believe? i havent seen all of it yet) called seiran academy with her friend tomoko. there, she meets mariko shinobu, a troubled girl with a bad family background, rei asaka, another troubled girl with a melancholy personality (that nanako falls in love with on the bus when she picked her up rather sweetly), kaoru orihara, who is loved by the girls at her school for her suave and rather gently teasing (i dont know how to describe it but she sometimes teases/jokes with the characters but does it in a very kind way) young woman who came back to the school after a long illness, and fukiko ichinomiya, a manipulative young lady who is rather cruel to rei (and a lot of people from what i remember).
i like how the show discusses a lot of themes, such as being lgbt, with a lot of tact! theres some drama with how the show discusses certain topics (as it IS a dramatic shoujo anime), but its respectfully done. the characters are well written, too, and i look forward to seeing more about them! i also enjoy the art of this anime; the pretty, pastel colors are pleasing to the eye, the character designs are cute and pretty, and osamu dezaki's little pastel thingy at the end is a nice touch.
all in all, this is a really lovely anime, and if i have enough time to review it in full, i will tell you all about how great this show is!
