both movies are from studio ghibli, the protagonists are strong female characters who defend nature and meet a guy that helps them. the antagonists are also strong females who sort of destroy the environments they all live in. I rated mononoke hime higher tho, I think the antagonist has a lot more depth, since she's more ambiguous, she may be violent with the nature but she saves the lepers. also, princess mononoke seems to be older than nausicaä, it made me like her as a character a little bit more, like she's more mature. although they're both independent and strong women. its always good to see the female represantation in miyazaki's movies.
