Neon Genesis Evangelion Series
i honestly thought it was a mecha anime before getting into it which was not my type of genre. i'm really grateful that my boyfriend introduced me to Evangelion because Evangelion is more than just an anime; flow of the story, moral of the message, animation, color theory, soundtrack, and aesthetic was just everything. more than anything this anime is psychological and sheathes the flaws of human nature which many fans can relate to. my favorite character that displayed raw emotions was Asuka! second best gotta be Misato's carefreeness.
