Dragon. Ie wo Kau for me is the best series of this season (Spring 2021). And it needs more love than it is getting..
There are a lot of good series this season (Fumetsu no Anata e, Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, Boku no Hero season 5 etc) but for me the best series of this season hands down is Dragon, Ie wu Kau. I enjoy quite many series this season, but this is the only series I am looking forward whole week. In a time we are leaving with Corona virus, travel restrictions and so on, this series manages to wash away all my worries and
...
truly lighten up my day. It doesn't have amazing artstyle nor thought proving and deep storyline, but what it has is endless ammounts of heart and fun and that's what is needed in this hard and dark time. I love the characters and I love the comedy that rises out of those characters doing seemingly mundane things. I guessed before this season had started, that I would drop this series after seeing episode 1 (like I did with f.e 86 or Slime Taoshite 300-nen), but now I enjoy this series whole heartedly.
I gave 5 to the Story, 6 to the Art(style) and 6 to the Sound. Mainly beacause it is obvious that they are fairly avarage or for some even below avarage.
But I rated 10 out of 10 characters of this series and my own enjoyment that I get out of this series. Those last 2 for me are really essential for a good series. It doesn't matter for me if the art style has a suplime quality, when series overall doesn't give much enjoyment and watching it feels like a slugfest. As far as my enjoyment goes, I would say that this series deserves even 11 or 12 out 10 for my enjoyment. Those are the reasons why I can't rate this series overall lower than 10 out of 10.
I recommend this series to everyone :)

Tatoeba... is for me the hidden gem of this season. For a while now I have tried to find another show that is similar to Konosuba in both it's comedic style and my own enjoyment and I think I have found this series.
The makers of this series are quite knowledgeable about comedy and that is shown how much better the timing and spacing of the jokes is compared to most other comedic series and even the manga this anime is based on. As someone who has performed as a stand-up comedian for more than 5 years, I can truely admire the craft in this
...
series. They have taken jokes that were in manga (f.e Lloyd killing nonchalantly giant insects or curses that were put on Maria/the eastside witch) and made it more visual, better timed and overall a stronger joke. I have high hopes for this series after 4 episodes and I predict that it won't disappoint me in both the comedy and it's enjoyment even after 8 more episodes.
Even though personally this series for me is 10 out of 10 series, I would more critically give it 9 out of 10 mainly because it's main flaw is the overall story of this series that is a bit too cliche and a bit too basic for me. But because my enjoyment when seeing this series is still quite high, I don't see it as a massive issue that this series has. It could be that after I have seen all of this series I might see this flaw as a more glaring issue or not an issue at all. Will see. Depending on that I will rate it differently after I have seen whole series.
Overall it is quite well crafted series with its cute and quite good art style and with fun characters that end up in all sorts of funny situation. I recommend this series whole heartely to everyone :)

I overall liked this movie. Characters and story are fun and interesting, art is beautiful and it refrences feudal Japan and Batman comics quite well and music is good fit for this series as well (for similar reasons as artstyle). But where this series looses points in my eyes are pretty much all action scenes.
During action scenes there was too much noise on the screen and thus it was hard to follow what was happening during action scenes. After pretty much every action scene I was like: "Yep.. some things happened during that scene. Although I don't know what excactly". Also what made those
...
action scenes bad where nonsensicle reveals during them. Okay.. Now we have robots. Okay they had managed to build a submarine. Okay. Instead of reveals like that I would have liked to see more strategy during fights (f.e using different fighting styles or techniques during fights, more ambushes and backstabbing during fights etc.). Currently it felt like most reveals came out of the arse. Now everyone is immune to influence of Grogg, and suddenly everyone who is evil is not. Such reveals seriously dampered suspense. Because this ova was quite action heavy, low quality of action scenes seriously lowered my overall score of this series.
That is why I give this series 6/10. Eventhough this series (especially outside
the action scenes) was quite well made.

It is quite sad that few have seen this hidden gem of a series. As a person, who never saw Astroboy before, I was quite surprised how well this series was able to keep me interested even without me understanding refrences that were made about this old 60s anime.
Story 7/10:
I think that the weakest part of the series was its story. Until this anime reached Robot Tournmant arc story was a bit too similar to Slice of Life type of series. Usually I dislike such stories because way too often those series doesn't manage to make me interested in those characters from early on
...
and thus doesn't keep me intrested when characters are having minor and relatively risk free adventures. Surprisingly my experience with this series was opposite to that. From early on I found most characters endering (especially A106) and so I didn't found it hard to enjoy their adventures/events eventhough they were relatively small in nature and and relatively insignificant. When Robot Tournament took place I was already invested enough that I felt struggle of A106 when he was facing against Mars. Looking back to this series I would say that it was quite important to have those small stories before big tournamant, because they made me care even more about those characters. Although I should mention that I would have not seen them so positively before I saw tournament arc.
Art 9/10:
The art for both OP and ED were just gorgeous. I also liked that there weren't a lot of CG used for robots. Thanks to that I didn't felt that those robots doesn't fit with rest of the series (unlike with most other shows that have mechas or robots in them).
Sound 10/10:
Both OP and ED were very good. I really liked OP that managed to make me pumped for this series and also had few character moments (for example them being or beach or driving next to coast) that managed to make characters in this series even more endering for me :) I also liked rest of the soundtrack. Especially one song that managed to get me to tear up (that happens relatively rarely). I don't know the name of this song but it for example played when in last episode A106 jumped into the air and saw something dreamlike. I can't wait to listen whole sountrack when it comes out. It is honestly one of my favorite soundtracks, although not as good as my all time favorite FMA Brothehood's soundtrack.
Character 9/10:
A106 was just amazing. Creators of this series managed to capture something quite unique.. a character who was both robotic and human at the same time. How he felt, what he thought and how he saw the world was just captivative. In some other series (f.e Ghost in the Shell) character is usually ether more human or more robotic. But for some reason I felt that he was nether and both at the same time. Unlike some other series I bought into his struggle of identity.
Other characters i enjoyed as well. I especially liked Ran and Hiroshi. I liked Ran's deep interest in engineering (especially robot engineering) and how she goes to salvege old parts so that she can fullfil her interest. And eventhough she was basically small engineer, I still felt that it didn't lessen the fact that she was still a child. Only character I didn't like very much was Tenma. I felt that his motivation weren't explained well enough. He changed his opinions way too often based on a whim, rather than based on a proper reason (especially decisions that involved fate of A106) and that is why I just didn't understood him and his thinking. Hopefully we get 2nd season that delves more into Tenma.
I really liked how immersed I was into the story of those character. I felt like they were all my old friends that I have known for years :) Overall very good charaters
Enjoyment 10/10:
I really liked and enjoyed watching this series. Although I understand that it might not be so enjoyable for others, who see first half of series way too slow and who didn't enjoy anime's characters as much as I did. But at least for me this series was a blast.. and hoefully it will be as good for others as well :)
Overall 10/10
I know, I know, mathematically it is 9/10, but because I enjoyed this series so much I can't see myself putting this series lower score than 10. Story could have been better but for me enjoyment of other parts of this series closes my eyes to this one gripe I have with this series. Hopefully you all understand :)

Little Witch Academy is way too overrated. OVA and movies were good but this series is just weak compared to those.. plot is slow and filled with plotholes., most characters have only 1 aspect that describes them and episode endings and reveals are all very pretictable and cliche.
Also, episodes lack proper build up for their reveals (for example in 5th episode attack of dragons came out of nowhere, main dragon being harmless buisnessman came out of nowhere, school being in debt and owning money to dragon came out of nowhere, debt being scam came out of nowhere, Diana knowing ancient dragonese came out of
...
nowhere.. pretty much whole episode came out of blue). Lack of build up means that viewer can't really guess where story is heading and thus can't fully experience story of this series. After seeing 1 or 2 episodes of random surprises, this gimmick can't really carry story forward.
Secondly, because it is episodic series then that means that stories are usually self contained and thus solving plotholes should be done before the episode or during the episode. Otherwise we already have moved to different storyarc and plothole solving of previous arc after it has already resolved feels out of place. Currently there is almost no overarching storyline where time of solving plotholes doesn't matter. Unlike Mob Psycho 100 there doesn't seem to be bigger arc toward what episodic series is building it's story and thus story of this series seems to be quite weak.
If we didn't had legendary OVA then this series would be considered avarage at best. 6th episode was more logical storyline than in previous episodes and because of that this series might get better in later episodes.. although start of this series is still way too weak.
