So I read some of it and then did a chapter skip due to some comments talking about a harem & the main character getting r*ped. From the few I skimmed over, I can confirm that these comments were not click bait.

I dropped this one so quick once I found that out. The story is mid, the artwork is alright, and the character design isn’t anything new. I typically don’t like romance in my action/fantasy manhwas but depending on how it works with the plot then I might keep reading it. I personally ... do not like the harem trope, and find a lot of issues with it (this includes reverse harem, but usually they aren’t as problematic). So unless it’s a comedy on the harem trope, I drop it. All of the romance and harem is a personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. But once I read the r*pe scenes, I was DONE. A main issue with this is that this isn’t treated as a r*pe scenario and is brushed off. Consent CANNOT happen if someone is intoxicated. This is part of the literal definition of consent. The harem girls basically date r*pe drug him with this “Heaven’s Death” drink that they don’t even explain to him that it is basically a one sip pass out kind of drink so he gets taken advantage of. I don’t know if one of the reasons this isn’t treated as bad is because the male character is the one getting r*ped, but any gender can be a victim. In the official English translation they tried to edit that out, but I personally could not continue to read it without being reminded of the disgusting scene and had to stop. (This happens in episodes 160&161, but I’ve heard this similar scenario happens a couple of times, so it might be in more.)

If you like basic action/fantasy manhwa and don’t care about harem/r*pe vibes, then sure, give it a read. But if you don’t want another basic read or a harem, then I wouldn’t even bother with this one.

This is the most adorable thing ever. The artwork is gorgeous and very expressive. There are some times where there is minimal dialogue, but the artwork and facial expressions are even better than any dialogue.

This is for sure a “Protect Mori at All Costs!” kind of manhwa. This is a very fluff/feel good story that also has some good, realistic heart wrenching moments. Do not worry, the minimal drama is not forced just for the sake of drama.

Highly recommend if you like a feel good manhwa or a child care manhwa or if you just want a smile on your face.

This is another typical fantasy-action manhwa where they have a tower and not everyone is forced into it. The main character is reincarnated after being killed & betrayed which sends them on a quest for revenge!

I liked the stalker god and wanted to see more of him. I also wanted to see what he actually looked like because some of his actions were hilarious.

The typical issue with some action manhwas, which this one was guilty of, was that they tried to force a romance. She becomes overly jealous (with things that are beyond dumb) but still calls him brother? (Grossed me out) and also, ... it is let believable for a character who is so engrossed either revenge to be sitting crushing on someone. It didn’t make sense.

Some of the clothing choices for the female characters were inappropriate/dumb/annoying. *cue rant* NO WOMAN WOULD WEAR THOSE CLOTHES IF THEY HAD ANY CHEST! The girls need support, and if they don’t have it while the character is fighting and flying around, they wouldn’t be able to fight at all because they would be in so much pain they wouldn’t be able to see straight. I get its a fantasy genre, but this is a truth that surpasses all genres, worlds & time.
So I have a hard time when they over sexualize female characters and when it makes literally NO sense. Like with the Angel, it makes sense they have a low cut in the back, totally fine, but why would they have the shortest dress of all time? This just irritates me and can ruin a story, which is sad, because I just get fed up and can’t focus on the story anymore.

There were some characters that were very handsome that I liked and was sad because I wanted to read it for them. & spoiler alert: they wore clothes and they were STILL attractive, crazy, right?

*mild spoiler alert on the possibility of there being romance*

So I read up to chapter 130 and then put it on pause for more chapters to come out and my feelings about it has changed since then. (Started with an 8 rating now leaning more towards 6/7.) This could be due to having read more manhwas so this no longer as good because I’ve read better ones since then, or I’m just moodier during this read through so more things are bugging me.

So here is my issue… Teresa is acting like a 2nd FL and there isn’t supposed to be any romance. I liked the ... girl at the beginning. I liked how all the ML’s relationships with females were platonic, because why do we need to sexualize & romanticize literally everything?!? I’m cool with Alice being the FL because it grew over time, seemed believable, and didn’t take away from the characters and their previous ideals and goals. Also, I love Alice. But then I heard through a novel spoiler there is an alternate ending with Teresa being the end game?!? That irks me because that’s turning this into a harem situation, and I don’t like reading harems or even reverse harems. I was chill with the grandpa trying to marry the MC to his granddaughter because it was funny, it was played off right, and it wasn’t continually being shoved down our throats. But Teresa blushing like a fool & making stupid decisions because she has special feelings for the MC bugs the crap out of me. I don’t like romance in my action manhwas just like how I am frustrated when action takes over my romance manhwas. I read the manhwa for the genre. So when I want to read a action-romance, I’ll read one with those tags. I don’t like being blind sided from a genre switch. I’m okay with sub-romance because that means it adds to the plot, not taking away from it by being distracting. As long as it is done right. Solo Leveling is a good example of this. As I was skipping through episodes it seems Teresa still acts love struck even though it’s pretty obvious at that point that Alice is end game, and that’s another trope that I am not a fan of.

During this re-read I only got to chapter 62 before I started getting frustrated and considered pausing or just dropping it.

So if action manhwas that start to hint towards romance is a big “no thank you”, I would suggest not reading this. If not, then go for it!

This is the manhwa version of Dan Da Dan. I have watched the anime adaption of Dan Da Dan, and this manhwa has similar vibes.

We have an action-adventure where ML & FL fighting off the supernatural with some comedy & romance to top it off. There are some emotional/heart wrenching scenes, just like in Dan Da Dan. (The type of humor is significantly different where there are no type of jokes about bananas and what not in the Legend of Dangun.)

It is a fun manhwa, and if you don’t like it after the first chapter, give it a few more and I’m sure you will ... be hooked.

It’s a fun read. The art is good and the characters are fun. The writing/story line isn’t the best with some plot holes, but it is still good as an enjoyable read where you don’t expect too much from it.

This is a fun reverse Isekai that has the adult protagonist in some heavy culture shock at the beginning but is able to adjust due to family wholesomeness, some solid brotherhood & an adorable child, niece-like character.

Official English translation is currently ... on hiatus after season 1 @55 episodes. The raws are currently several episodes into the 2nd season.

Another great manhwa that got the axe and ended too soon. They did a decent job with the wrap up, but it definitely left you wanting more. (There are no side stories or something of the like.)

This was a nice read and I enjoyed it. I thought it was fun to have a clumsy OP FL who just wants to make her favorite tragic character happy. The FL’s family is great & I love the dynamic between the FL & ML.

This is an adaptation and I have heard they took out some arcs to try and make it ... not drag out too long (and probably to get to somewhat of a nice ending.)

The other title “Drug-Eating Genius Mage” would be a more fitting description of this manhwa. It is currently on hiatus with season 1 ending at 48 episodes.

This starts off with our MC creating a mage genius, beyond sickly character for the new updated version of the game he has been playing. He ends up being sucked into it and starts to question some life decisions. He doesn’t let it get him too down and does his best to move froward. This MC doesn’t sit and question what happened, why, or complain but instead remains solely focused on ... his survival. There is a nice array of characters and nothing stays stagnant for too long.

This is a pretty decent read if you are looking for something new in an action/fantasy manhwa.

A rare dungeon themed manhwa where the main character is a female. This manhwa does a great job of being unique and turning common tropes on its head. (A personal favorite are some of the FL’s skills 😂)

The beginning can start off frustrating but as it continues on, it becomes more heart warming and enjoyable. This manhwa focuses on family, specifically sibling relationships, in a wholesome and realistic way. (No ick.)

We have our main protagonist (Bobae) who loses her parents in the first rift, her ... youngest older brother (Hanseng) gets put on life support for saving her by taking the hit, and then not much later loses her oldest brother (Gwihan) to a rift, never to be heard from again. Leaving her and the 2nd older brother (Haegi) to fend for themselves.

Bobae’s only wish is for her family to be together again. For Gwihan to return & Hanseng to wake up. But always be careful what you wish for because things don’t always turn out they way you want it. Bobae ends up having a brother who claims to have “darkness inside him”, another who claims to have come from the future, and another who says he is a noble Lord and everyone around him are dark mages. Because of this, all 3 brothers are not working for their own various reasons, leaving the sister to be the breadwinner for the family.

This manhwa is an adaptation. I’ve heard that the original work got quickly wrapped up in the end almost like it got axed, which sadly transfers to the manhwa as well. I wish we had more chapters because there was still room for so much and it would have made the story even that much better. Alas, for a rushed ending I think they did a decent job, but I will always be wanting more and patiently waiting with the faint, delulu hope that there might be more.

The action, drama, and romance are pretty minimal. Season 2 is where romance starts to have some more space in the story. Some may say there is a reverse harem, but it’s more like a few guys being interested in the FL who isn’t interested in a romantic relationship, cause someone has to take care of their 3 older brothers! So don’t let the thought of it being a reverse harem prevent you from reading this.

This is an average, okay manhwa. If you think you would really like it, then maybe go ahead and give it a try, but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.

The only good thing this manhwa has going for it is the sibling relationship. I enjoyed it and thought it was fun. There are some very small hints to romance in it, but it doesn’t get annoying or take center stage. The MC is OP beyond OP. So if a cocky MC that ... never struggles in battles is not your thing, then I wouldn’t read this.

I don’t know how to describe this other than average. Nothing really bugged me and nothing really intrigued me. The reason I dropped this is because I know there are other manhwas out there that I would enjoy more, so I didn’t want to waste my time on reading more of this.

I did make it 5 chapters into season 2.
