All I can say is, “Wow, what a season.” While I thought that Attack on Titan was already a great show, as a non manga reader I thought that the story would reach a dead end soon as the show looked like it was going to hit the climax with this season in the taking of Wall Maria. But boy was I wrong. Along with some of the best action we’ve seen from the show, we get to see amazing world building that is able to raise the stakes of an already tense and epic show. The reveals that this season brings very well changes
...
the show from a battle shonen to one that has a lot more potential to delve deeper into the characters as well as the world of Attack on Titan.
I just really loved the direction that this story was able to take. We get to see the siege on Wall Maria, the climax we as fans have been waiting for since it was brutally taken in the first episode. But even after we get to see the stakes that these characters have to endure in the future of this story, which I thought has made this show even more interesting. We go from a incredible action oriented battle to a somber and pretty dark tone that the show is known for but it’s done in a better and more interesting way then just giving characters a tragic backstory to overcome which we have seen in many shonen. The world building this show gave this season rather gives more reason and understanding on what these characters are fighting for, not just to destroy the Titans but rather to fight for their freedom. Besides this, we get some of the OST from AoT like Symphonic Suite Part 5 and 6. Like this is some incredible and epic OST. Along with this we get some incredible animation. While I dislike CGI in anime I thought it looked great here on the the Colossal Titan. In terms of character development we don’t get much from the main cast in the beginning but rather they get it from the reveals that the 2nd half of the season brings. Overall, this has been the best season of Attack on Titan and I’m incredibly excited for what this anime can bring. I’m reluctant to read the manga because I want to experience it in its full animation glory but I might just say fuck it and read it anyway. I heard that Wit Studios won’t be animating AoT anymore which is shame, but I’m sure Production I.G can do a great job as well. But goddamn, what. a. season.

Wow.... where do I begin with this. This show honestly exceeded my expectations with every
episode. Each episode is jam packed with action, plot twists, and excellent writing. When you think you know whats gonna happen, this show diverts expectations in the best possible way. I'm not even gonna go into the philosophical and idealist ideas that this show provides. The basis of this show in my opinion is truly what ideals the characters think is right for peace. And as the series progresses we see each character question their ideals and it creates a tension that carried through each episode. And these opposing ideals
...
that create these wars are what shows like this should be.
In terms in art this show is great. Even for its age, the animation is fantastic and all of the fight scenes are done well. In sound, I loved the OST but the openings could've been better. I loved Colors by FLOW from the first season and also OP 5 was great but that was about it.
But what this show truly exceeds expectations is. the. characters. Like honestly theres a reason why Lelouch is the most favorited character on this site. His conviction and strategic prowess in the show is truly what made this show put me on the edge on my seat. I loved the concept that the characters on the show put on "masks" in order to create identities for themselves. It is a big debate whether Lelouch is a villain or good. But I think this is a false argument because no one in life is simply good or bad. Even though he does morally bad acts, he always does it for others which is shown in the last scene of the show. Besides Lelouch (because honestly I can write a 10 page essay on this man) I enjoyed the other characters on the show. C.C is sort of like guardian angel for Lelouch. I enjoyed her interactions with him and it seemed by the end they are more then just partners. I'm sort of torn on Suzaku. Initially a rival for Lelouch, he gets lost in his ideals but is able to redeem himself by the end by becoming the mask of Zero. His sense of morality is very jaded as even though he criticizes Lelouch for doing immoral acts, he has done the same which fits the theme of the show. Kallen was one of my favorites as her fights were always dope.
Overall this is a banger anime. 10/10. Thought provoking anime like these are reason I watch anime. This show pretty much checked all the boxes for me. We get compelling characters, great action, actual suspense, and overall great story. What more do you want?

Just finished watching this and all I gotta say is that this is the best anime that I’ve ever seen so far in my anime/manga journey. Want a good exam arc? This is the show. Want an actual good isekai arc in Greed Island? This is the show. Want the best arc in any shonen in the Chimera Ant Arc? This is the show. I honestly don’t have enough words to praise this show. What separates this show from most shonens are the character driven arcs and the trials and tribulations that stem from the characters motives. Along with great motives, the characters are just

likeable. Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Meruem, Hisoka etc. are all eccentric and fascinating characters that all have their flaws that make them unique but grow as well as the series progresses. The writing in this show is also amazing due to the character progression as well. The flaws that each character has makes them stronger characters and them overcoming their flaws in each arc is what makes this show so great. Besides that, the animation is solid throughout. This series in my opinion has some of greatest fight scenes in a shonen because it’s not all just about people punching people. Smart strategies are just in pretty much every fight, making them all entertaining. Madhouse did a great job animating these fight scenes. Overall, I’m pretty empty knowing I can’t watch this show for the first time again. This show is a 10/10 no questions asked. Now if you excuse me, I have to catch up on the manga...

This right here, this right here is god tier anime plain and simple. As a prequel to Fate/Stay Night this serves as a perfect prequel to the series. If this show is Jahseh Onfroy, then Unlimited Blade Works and Heavens Feel are Gekyume Onfroy no cap. To describe this masterpiece show in words is nearly impossible but I'll try my best. First of all, the animation in this series is just leagues beyond the competition. The animation is so good here even the CG is good. When Saber be destroying the Ops with Excalibur I feel like I am witnessing it firsthand. Thats the kind

of effect this show had on me with its animation. The characters of this are no exception. Kiritsugu and Rider were my favs besides Saber as they had real motivations and were pretty dope as well. Gilgamesh really be hitting people with that yeetus deletus. Then the soundtrack is also god tier. The opening is just beautiful man (even though the opening of Unlimited Blade Works season 2 is better). To put it in simple terms, this show is Shaggy at 30% of his power level. That right there shows how godly this show is.
