07-Ghost (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
This is an anime that has a great setting, music, and character designs but unfortunately suffers from both a sub-par plot and the annoying power of friendship; in other words, it is one of those fancy high-budget animes that don't have too much substance.

A huge portion of the anime takes place in an extremely pretty church. Now, this church has an interesting cast of characters, but what the hell does Teito Klein -- the main character -- do? He gets his ass kicked every time and relies on the same people to save his ass. Also, Teito has a pretty annoying personality too; he's ...

Ao no Exorcist is a pretty decent shounen.

The story = GOOD
Son of Satan wants to avenge his father by becoming an exorcist and killing Satan.

Characters = GOOD
There is a diverse cast of characters. They are Rin's classmates. Each one of them has their own motives and backstories. If you don't like Rin, you can always enjoy the other characters! However, I personally found the character designs to be quite plain.

Humor = PRESENT THROUGHOUT ANIME
There's humor present throughout the whole series, so it's not one of those super-heavy-and-dramatic animations.

This series has an excellent premise and its graphics are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I also really like its Opening and Closing songs, character designs, and complex universe.

I enjoyed the first half of the anime a lot because it revolved around both Ai's mysterious status as a gravekeeper (the main character) and the issues in society that have arisen as a result of the fact that people can no longer die.

However, the second half of the anime was not nearly as good as its first half. The story strayed away from its original premise (there was less about zombie people issues) and suffered from a bunch ...

The show had a promising premise, but it could've done a lot more.

Girl gets trapped in mansion. Her father appears to have a mysterious connection with the vampires. Seems interesting, right? But this series is filled with so many repetitive blood-sucking and abuse scenes (no joke - those scenes take up too much time), there really is not enough time to advance the plot that much (considering that each episode is only 15 minutes).

Every episode is a bit repetitive. Girl meets guy. All of the sudden, he sucks her blood. Practically every episode has long, blood sucking scenes. It sure gets boring.

There is ...

Naruto (Anime) add
Preliminary (180/220 eps)
Naruto (not Naruto Shippuden) is awesome. It had a nice setting, character development, plot, and fighting scenes. The thing I enjoyed most about Naruto was its character development. The diverse array of characters in Naruto all (with the exception of Ten-ten and a few other people) had their spotlight and unique identities. I especially liked Naruto because he was the hard-working underdog.

You also get these bad-ass fighting scenes. These fighting scenes, I felt, actually made sense. There weren't many nakama-power ups, and the good people didn't always win. Everyone was limited by chakra. You also get some cool strategies!

I really enjoyed this series. And even ...

Fairy Tail (Anime) add
Fairy Tail is one of those animes that start off really well but then turns to.. err... shit. Or at least borderline shit I should say?

What first attracted me to Fairy Tail was it's lightheartedness, humor, cool action, decent plot, and cool adventures. Watching it was very entertaining.

But after awhile, everything became predictable. The humor is still there, but the plot and fighting scenes turned childish. Without those two elements, the whole series practically fell apart and it felt as if everything in this series had NO REAL MEANING to it. Every battle is won with the "power of friendship." No one dies. ...

I really enjoyed this manga and I think that it would make an excellent anime. It has a very adventurous vibe to it, as the setting shifts to different places and there is almost always action.

Nakaba -- the main heroine -- helps turn this into a kick-ass shojo. Her major sense of responsibility prevents her from turning into a damsel-in-distress. Since she is a princess of Seinen, she has a bunch of social and political duties that she must fulfill. She is also willing to use violence and force to reach her goals.

Conflict is rampant in the series. You have political problems, relationship ...
