I'm not the type of person who gets into every single detail and I'm also not really good at writing reviews so please don't come at me (pls).
Story: It just has your usual find a problem, fix it, then there's another problem and at least one character has the desire to fix it all on their own but is backed up by the main crew later on. Also has your typical higher-up people who are like, "We're gonna take care of it, stay out of our way!" and one of the main characters (or just one, but we have a duo) is like, "Nope, can't
...
do!" and goes all out to be a hero in the end. I think we've all seen these scenarios and the anime directors seem to can't get enough of it, so they don't wanna try to be original. If you're gonna use this scenario, I always hope it's at least interesting and unique from the others and this anime got off the hook with it, but barely passed.
Art: It looks like a typical anime design (and it is), but they kept it clean and consistent, even during the fighting animations. I really like how each character looks the best rather than the scenery. The scenery barely changed throughout the movie anyway. But I like the designs and the dragon designs were nice as well. Job well done.
Sound: I don't really pay attention to OSTs, but they have to be unique and good for me to notice it and even start listening to it. If I like an opening/ending, it has to be good. The ending of the first two eps were okay, but the ending on the last ep really got me jamming. So my score is a 7 just because of that ending.
Character: This movie did a good job including all the typical characters: loud and determined one, reserved and follows the rules, the pervert, the one who cares about people, and the reckless with the most self confidence. I'm not gonna say who's which because I don't want to put any spoilers, but at least every character was likeable (for me, at least).
Enjoyment: I actually really liked it, even though it was such a basic anime. If a basic anime goes right, it actually turns out to be really good. The plot itself was definitely not interesting, but the animation and characters made up for some of it.
Overall: I'm not picky when it comes to watching anime and if you look at my list, you can tell I don't really give any bad ratings. Most of the bad ratings are in my dropped list, but when it comes to watching till the end, it shows that I enjoyed it some way. I know a lot of people thought it was just average and nothing special, but if you're looking for a refresher, this anime might just do the trick.

This was my second vampire anime and I was glad that it turned about to be better than the first one I watched (servamp). I think this anime would've had the potential to be big, but it's not that easy for anime to become popular with 12 episodes. In fact, a lot of people don't like how short a good anime is because the pace gets too fast and the character development is not good at all. You have to understand the fact that the reason why studios make 12 eps is because they don't have enough budget so they want to see how good
...
the first season of an anime goes before they can make more. It's only a coincidence that other anime become pretty popular with more than 12 eps, but that's because their studio is taking the risk into putting most of their money towards that one show.
For this anime, I also think they went a little too fast, but if the anime was a bit longer, it could've turned into a big success. Right now, i'm not wishing for another season not because it wasn't good; it was good, the plot was amazing. But they ended the story at the end, so I can't really imagine what can happen next without making the story confusing too much. Everything about this anime was done ideally great, but I think the director wasn't too sure on how to end it.

*NOT TOO MANY SPOILERS BUT BE WARNED*
Story: 8/10
A lot of people didn't enjoy the first episode. I get that there was barely anything going on, but that's also the reason why the director put it there. In reality, not every story is going to be dramatic or as interesting as some other stories do. The director wants you to relate to the characters somehow, not just show anything enjoyable. A story doesn't always have to be intriguing. I think the director wanted to remind us that there's not always going to be people with big events happening in their life. There's going to be people
...
where they have a neutral life, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be interesting later. The director just wanted to show us reality that things don't go the way people always want, like the noodles and the girl he liked (in the first episode). The story line in the second episode was a little too straightforward and fast paced, but it wasn't supposed to be that long, so I get it. They didn't really finish with the boyfriend issue, so I wanted to see what happened there. In the third episode was where most of this rating came from. I'm not a fan of romance, especially in anime because for me, personally, they're just the same story over and over again. I also don't like hopeless romance, especially in 5 Centimeters Per Second (If you haven't watched 5 Centimeters Per Second, then you won't know what I'm talking about). The ending in that movie was good, but the director didn't make it good. But the third episode, it was a little bit of hopeless romance, but not too hopeless for the lovers to get too depressed about. It nice and pure, wasn't too lovey dovey in a way, either. For people who don't like too much romance, this episode was the perfect one. The one thing I wasn't quite satisfied about was the ending where the girl suddenly showed up and they're all happy again. It was a little too rushed, but the nice scene where everybody joins up at the end made me ignore the bad little detail right away.
Art: 8/10
I'm not going to say much; it's already beautiful. It's the same director from Your Name. I took two points off because I'm not a fan of the people, but everything else is amazing.
Sound: 10/10
This is my first review, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about the opening/ending for this. I watched the music video and it was fantastic. I don't remember if that's the same music for the opening/ending, but if it is, this deserves a perfect score.
Character: 7/10
In the first episode, he didn't really have much character, but it's not entirely his fault as the episode was supposed to be like that way. In the second episode, I really love family relationships, so it was nice to see two siblings living together and not separated like anime usually does. The third episode was pretty interesting; all the characters had good character development and not keeping the same personality as when they were little.
Enjoyment: 7/10
This could have gotten a 6, but if you're the type into emotional stuff like this, it's not so bad. I really enjoyed how neutral the first episode is even though a lot of people disliked the fact it was so boring. It really showed how real it was, and really just showing an ordinary life of an ordinary person. I'm not saying the other two episodes were not as good, but I love when it's unique and different what you see in anime in general.
Overall: 8/10
I wanted to give this a 9, but it wasn't very powerful as some of the popular movies. Personally, I really like to find deep meanings after finishing a movie. Not that this movie didn't have any meaning, but I think this movie just wanted to remind us our youthful days and how that impacts our future. And if not, some day.
