-Both have a cast of likeable and unique characters. -Both have heroines which are badass They both give of a similar vibe which is hard to describe. If you like one, then the odds are you're going to love the other :)

If you liked Hataraku Maou-sama! add

...then you might like Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita. add

Demon King gets Kicked, and the plot's centred about protagonist working at a store. Be it selling papasonic stuff, or selling MgRonald burgers

If you liked Serial Experiments Lain add

...then you might like Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi add

Though the shows really are different, there's one plot point in both that overlaps; both shows consider what it means to be 'alive'.In Serial Experiments Lain, Lain is at one point asked whether she would leave her body, and go to the wired. In Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, the characters could kill themselves, but won't simply stop 'living'.
