I'm genuinely surprised by the quality of this One Piece's special episode. The animation, and characters designs are all on point. Props to Toei Animation.
A refreshingly humane look at the wonderful world of One Piece, in this episode, you get to look at the 'normal' people that live there. What are their feelings and thoughts on the 'larger than life' Straw Hat? How to live in the world of super human when you're just everyday ordinary folks? Find out yourself since the special is only 25 mins long.
I would love a series out of this concept. I love One Piece and I welcome this
...
addition to one of the greatest shows of all time.

When I finished watching this show, I have to shout: "Wow!! That's how you should do drama in anime!!!".
What I'll be writing here is purely my thoughts on the show. Before you read it, I'm assured you there is no spoilers and you don't need to know and watch any previous installments of the BanG Dream! Franchise to watch It's MYGO!!! And I'm a big fan of CGDCT anime along with idol/ music anime overall, so what I think is good might be a little bit bias.
The series kicks off with a more gloomy and somber tone than most idol shows! CRYCHIC, a girls band
...
broke up without knowing the reasons, it left all its member pain, trauma and broken hearts. This took a surprising turn cause' BanG Dream! is mostly known as an anime with a really fun, bright story blending with some melodrama.
The story starts when transfer student Chihaya Anon wants to start a high school band and her journey to unknowingly gather all the members of CRYCHIC. She just doesn't know how much of a bumpy road she's gonna walk on.
As with all great slice of life, It's MyGO!!!! is a heavily character driven anime. And this anime has a really strong, colorful and grounded cast. All the characters, while still showing some signs of common tropes are all fleshed out, acting with realistic motives. I love the way they agonize through their mistakes and the way they deal with their trauma, it's really relatable and interesting. For characters, i give 10/10.
The music is top-notch!!! BanG Dream! always has great music but I personally enjoy the music of this installment the most!! A lot of real passionate, melancholic and raw soundtracks in this show. I'm sure any of you who's tired of the usual anime songs will love the music of this show.
Overall, It's MyGO!!! is not just a great idol anime! It's also a wonderful coming-of-age, a dramatic showing of pains, fears, losses, acceptance and love!

One of the sweetest movie I've seen in 2024.
Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters finally gives us a look at the Oomuro sisters, their daily lives and close bond together. I wish the movie were at least 2 hours long, 45 minutes just ain't enough. But for the short limited amount of time this movie was given, it did an excellent job of portraying the distinct personalities of the three sisters. The calm and mysterious big sister Nadeshiko, the responsible little Hanako and the ever-energetic Sakurako. It warms my heart just watching them living their life, doing simple things and hanging out with friends.
Overall, a great
...
addtion to the beloved franchise Yuru Yuri. I couldn't wait to watch its sequel, Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends. And I'm sure it will be just as heart-warming as this.

If you have already seen season 01, there's not much else to talk about since Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch is exactly the same. An anime with no story, no substance, no tension and no risk. But if you continue to watch season 02, you need to ask yourself: "Do I really need all of that?". If the answer is no, then congrat, you just want to be entertained by a light-hearted slice of life with a little touch of overpower Isekai and this anime will surely deliver.
In this season, we continue to witness the life of Yuna - an overpower isekai protagonist. where she
...
just solves problems to problems for everyone around her and that's basically it. Yuna don't have any character development since the anime itself doesn't need it and so are all the goody two shoes around her. But even so, the anime does has its charm. The characters are flat but likable and I watched through the entire anime in one sitting, having a lot of fun.
Overall, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch knows exactly what it is and what it tries to accomplished. It doesn't pretend to be something more complex or does it shove melodrama shits down my throats. And I appreciate that. That's why I wrote this review.

"The reason Yamanouchi Kano sings!
See, I want to be a reason for people to keep looking forward.
For the fans who support me...
No, not just them.
Anyone lost about what they really love,
And anyone who struggles every day, and hates the world.
And even the ones who used to make fun of me, just everyone!
I want them to feel happy, that life's fun, and just the best!
That life's worth living until the next gig" - Yamanouchi Kano.
Jellyfish can't swim in the night is one of those anime I wish that were given more time to explore their ideas. A standard season of 25 episodes will benefit it so
...
much because it's one of the most relatable show I've ever seen. An anime for the social outcast, for those who are lost in life, for the broken-hearted and for me...
I personally love watching Idol anime since I love watching people pursuing their dreams. I love hearing their worries, insecurities and witnessing their loneliness. Youth is foolish, they will often make mistakes and pay the price. But when their eyes sparkle on the stage and their dreams are fulfilled, I feel a sense of happiness. That's why I also watch Hololive (Vtuber), I just love to see people accomplished their dreams which I never could. Jellyfish can't swim in the night is not an idol anime but it has all of that and even more.
Yamanouchi Kano is a retired idol. She was forced to after being in the center of a big drama that derailed her career. But even after going through those hard time, she doesn't give up and continuing singing anonymously as a youtuber named JELEE. One night when she was wandering around Shibuya, she happens to have a fateful encounter with Mahiru - the artist she admired the most. Mahiru also has given up on drawing after facing harsh criticism and she just couldn't take it. Along with Mahiru, Kano now decides to revive her career. And along the way, with the help of a lonely pianist and a troublesome vtuber, that's where their story begin.
As with any good slice of life anime, Jellyfish can't swim in the night is a heavily character-driven show. The story has its strong points but sometimes it still relies on melodrama to advance which I'm not a big fan of. But the characters are amazing though. Every characters has no proper introductions, motives, problems and a lot more,... Those characteristics make them feel grounded and relatable. I had a great time watching their stories, laugh and even cry a little bit with them. You have to see for yourself though, might be I just love them a lot and is biased toward them.
Jellyfish can't swim in the night has great music, easily to understand since it also focus a big chunk on music. It has a catchy and melancholic opening and a pretty passionate ed. For the animation, pretty good I dare to say. Nothing too extraodinary since a slice of life doesn't need to, but the animation is fluid and easy to follow. It also has a pretty and standard artstyle for an "all-girls" anime. Some might complain it feels generic and while it is, I really think this artstyle works for a show like this and shouldn't be changed just for the sake of change and creativity.
Overall, even though the anime still has a lot of problems, mainly the characters need more time to be explore. There are many problems the characters faced that I personally feel that can't be resolved in the pace of a 12-episodes season. But I will still recommend Jellyfish can't swim in the night since anime like this show is the reason I truly felt in love with this wonderful medium. If you feel the same, feel free to give me a friend request and we can talk about anime list these and give some recommendations.

Not Miyazaki finest work, that's for sure.
Now I really appreciate the beautiful Ghibli style of animation which is very lacked of nowsadays. The characters are also pretty grounded for the time the story sets in (which I believe is in the tail end of WW2). And even though not as great as other works, the soundtracks in The Boy and the Heron is still amazing. I really wish the story is just as good.
I really feel like there's a disconnection in storytelling. There are a lot of themes that Miyazaki trying to convey in this movie but none of those themes are specially
...
emphasized strongly enough. It resulted in a very lackluster movie, like a jack of all trade but master of none. Imo, the main character got over all of his worries and sufferings very easily and that's the sign of a weak story.
Now, for something advertised as his last movie, I expected much more than this from the legendary Hayao Miyazaki and somewhat in my heart, I feel a little disappointed.

"Why did it turn out this way? - I finally know
Because I was an idiot - with power." - Eren
So Attack on Titan finally came to its conclusion after a million final seasons. I'm one of those that refused to read the manga because I was already too deep into watching the anime and after all this time, I feel happy with my decision. Attack On Titan's ending can't be called "the greatest" by any measures but it's a proper end and served its purpose well.
It reminds me of Linkin' Park's song "In The End". In the end, it doesn't matter at all. But
...
isn't that life? That makes the ending kinda relatable and a little bit bittersweet to me.
The animation for this final chapter is done really well, props to MAPPa for this. Action scenes are pretty fluid and even though I don't like the new styles of the characters, they look too rough for my taste but that's not a problem at all. We got to hear some iconic ost along the way and the Ed song is extremely emotional. A perfect send-off song for the franchise in my honest opinion.
In the end, Attack on Titan is an important cultural trademark in the anime community and this wonderful story should be recommended for new generations for eternity or at least when human still got their damn mind.

My review will be short since there's barely anything to talk about this anime. So Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi or Redo of Healer is another failed attempt to please the edgelord of studio TNK - famous for animating Highschool DxD, School Days, Ikkitousen,...
In short, a classic do-it-all, know-it-all somehow overpowered protagonist goes on a quest to revenge the NPCs that've done him wrong in life + some hentai scenes. That's it. Everything in this anime is dumbed down to elementary level so there's no resistance to what he would do. I'm surprised he didn't just teleport and kill all of them in one go.
...
Overall, it's a good guilty pleasure show when you want to have some fun time if you know what I mean. But beware, the entertaining part lasted about 2 episodes, from there things went down quickly and quite boring. Well at least the plots are very nice and big.

Sonny Boy is the type of anime that I'm welcoming. A Psychological Coming Of Age Show is what severely lacking in today anime's landscape. But on the other hand, it's a failed experiment, offer nothing new in both department it tried to compete.
To make this review short and sweet, I'll get straight to the point. Using the premiere of Lord of the Flies or the Drifting Classroom makes me kinda excited, it brings a lot of space for creativities and moral implications. But clearly the scriptwriter of Sonny Boy is not someone up for the task.
Everything in this show just kinda happens for no
...
reason. There's no explaination for anything happening and every episodes passed by only create more questions than answers. The main character is the discount version of Hikigaya Hachiman minus his personalities and charisma. Side characters don't matter, they're only there to serve as plot devices to keep the story going. And at the end, you'll get nothing, no bad or good endings, there's no meaning to it at all.
I expected more than that in Sonny Boy, but I hope this show wont discourage more psychological anime to come.

Another fun addition to the Bang Dream! Series. BanG Dream! Movie: Poppin' Dream! takes place in Guam, the largest island in Micronesia, where Popping' Party, Raise A Sullen got invited to a musical charity event. An experience they will never forget.
First of all, the movie is only 70 mins long, so there's not many crazy shenanigans here. Even so, it's still hilarious and warm to see the interactions between the girls. If only the scriptwriter were a little more competent here to write about 2 hours of content, we would have been treated with more memorable events and maybe some serious characters' development. But
...
I'm fine what we've got.
Secondly, let me take a second to appreciate the animation in this movie. SANZIGEN must have worked really hard on this movie, it's greatly improved from what I remmeber. The 3D model looks more natural and their movement is very smooth. Sometimes I even forget that I'm watching a 3D show.
Lastly, as always, the music is just so good. I love every song they performed here. From melancholic guitar ascoutic to absolutely bangers. I must say some of the best idol songs I've heard come from this series.
Overall, fans of Bang Dream! should give it a try. Hoping for more to come. Now I'll head to Movie of Roselia in the meantime.
