This OVA tells of what happened before the death of Mr Gentleman when Yomiko Readman ("The Paper") and Drake were still faithful agents of the British Imperial Library. It is during this time that The Paper met Nancy Makuhari.
If you have watched ROD the Tv in full and enjoyed it, this OVA would be a recommendable watch to better your understanding of the I-jins and the past of the characters, especially that of Nancy Makuhari. Even if you haven't watched ROD the TV, this OVA would still be a good standalone anime to watch.
While the art and characters in ROD did not awe me, the
...
difference in the tones of voices of some of the characters in ROD the TV and ROD OVA was interesting to me, seeing that some of the characters have grown weaker while some have grown bitter. The story was commendable: simple with a little twist, and also because it incorporates a little knowledge of classical music in the OVA.

Initially, I was skeptical about this anime. I wasn't impressed by the art and the story didn't seem to promise much; I thought it was just about some book-lovers who have the ability to use papers fighting against normal bad guys or other paper users. I watched the first episode and I didn't feel like watching any further. But out of boredom, I just did. And man, after a few more episodes, I could not stop watching more episodes.
ROD the TV revolves around three sisters who use their ability to use papers (as bow and arrows, flying medium, sharp knife, etc) to do detective work as
...
their means of living (and yes, buying more and more books, since they are obsessively fond of books). They met Sumiregawa-sensei whom they are paid to guard and who was a good friend of the legendary paper-user agent Yomiko Readman ("The Paper"). As the story unfolds, you'll realize that there is more than meets the eyes. It is an interesting, enjoyable anime to watch though not without some flaws.
Like I said, the art failed to impress me, although credit could be given to the smoothness of the movements and the clear colours of the anime. Most of the times I was rather bothered by the disproportioned body parts of the characters. There were also some subtle prejudices in terms of the portrayal of the leadership and humanity of people from different countries. The characters leave nothing much to like either.
Still, it has a curious plot in that one would not have much foreseen what is really in store for them further in the story. And that itself is enough reason for it to be worthy of being rated at overall 7.

I have no real idea why I like this anime. But I know I like it. Perhaps it is because I don’t actually have too much to complaint about this anime. Except for the somewhat chipmunk-looking faces of the characters… The art, otherwise can be said to be spectacular, if not the best.
Now, you see, this anime does not really fall in my genre, save for the fact that it has a little bit of romance in it and it is somehow labeled as comedy. The pace may appear to be rather slow but I’m always patient when it comes to watching slow anime.
I like
...
the idea of the story as a whole and I particularly love Takizawa Akira for his spontaneity and boldness. He looks too much like that guy in Honey and Clover and his character seems to be quite similar but he sometimes reminds me of Ryuuzaki or L.Lawliet, better known as L from Death Note, perhaps for wearing white shirt and having messy black hair. Just charming.
Ah. I digress. Sorry.
The OP is great and it perfectly suits the anime. Even its ED is creatively made, with characters from the anime being paper cutouts. I enjoy the fact that they actually used real Americans for the voices of the Americans in the anime. Ano keitai mo suki de, kakkoii kara. The technology of the mobile phone seems impressive too. (Yes, impressive enough to lead to the manufacturing of the real mobile phones.)
Another factor that separates this anime from many others is the obvious fondness of nudity and penises (“Johnnies” as they affectionately call them) but mostly to be poked about as a joke, rather than to arouse any sexual attention, which I find intriguing.
All in all, Higashi no Eden is a new flavor added to my collection, and I’m way too excited to watch the promised movies. Honestly can’t wait.

If you’re looking for an anime which is purely comedy, this could be the one for you. Perfect Girl Evolution is about a girl who enjoys the darkness and is psychologically allergic to beautiful people. Unfortunately for her, she is to stay in a mansion with four bishounen.
The core idea of the story lies in turning Sunako-chan into a perfect lady and (perhaps, through) developing love between her and one of the guys. But the anime, being heavily comedic, digressed much from the main idea.
Nonetheless, it is highly enjoyable for those who simply fancy comedy despite its ridiculousness. A light anime with high
...
rewatch value as it is hilarious. There’s not much to be appreciated about the art, though, seeing that it is rather rigid and the supposedly good-looking guys really look like girls.

Here’s a comedic anime which tells of school crushes and friendship. There is not much plot or story in this anime, but I certainly am yet to find another anime to offer such rich characters. Each and every character has its own uniqueness that I cannot help but to fall in love with almost all of them. And ah, I just love Ryuuji's voice....
The anime is not purely comedy, however, as there are moments where the characters seem to get serious, talking about life. I find it interesting that there could be such unusual metaphors that one could put to describe one’s perception towards subjective
...
matters such as life and feelings.
Although somewhat predictable in some ways, I love Toradora for the very fact that it managed to surprise me despite being so. The art of the anime is also pleasant to my eyes, not too elaborate, yet not overly simplistic. I like the clarity of the colours too. As well as the facial expressions the characters made. It is an anime I would watch and watch again, especially the few last episodes.
Recommendable for romantic comedy suckers, such as myself, who wish for not-so-heavy romance.
