It seems there are no reviews for this manga, so i felt compelled to write a short one.
The story is decent (4/10), maybe quite bland, but it did have a direction. It's not bad, it's simply expected of a <10 chapter fantasy manga.
The art is nice to look at, but not really anything special, so i'd give it a 6/10; same with the characters. The enjoyment however is a bit higher (7/10).
Would i recommend it? Yeah - yeah I probably would. If it seems like your cup of tea, go for it. I mean, it's got 6 chapters (+ a mini extra one) ... and it was an interesting quick read. You can't expect much from a 6 chapter manga in terms of a deep story and character development, nor is it that much focused on romance. It's a mix with a bit of both.
I'd say you should give it a shot, if you find yourself with a bit of time.

The way you end a story can either make it or break it. The Betrayal Knows My Name? It broke it. Well... kind of?
Now, hear me out or rather let me break it down to you. The plot of the story isn't really anything special. You probably read something like this already, but i nonetheless enjoyed it. The art style is also quite the standard for it's genre and the era the manga started in. I liked some of the character's designs, and some I disliked (ahem, Luka, looking at you - tho 12 y/o me would probably droll over you), but the art itself ... really is nicely drawn.
Now, what I liked most were the characters themselves. They feel fleshed-out and they do have quite a lot of character development. While it sometimes feels a bit crowded with all the new people entering the story, i feel like the author managed to strike an overall pleasing balance.
Aaaand then we get to the ending. To my understanding, the author took a long hiatus before finishing the manga and I gotta give them kudos to that - it's tough going back to finish something you no longer have the energy to do. And I'm glad they came back, the story didn't just drop in the middle of an extremely important scene or something like that, but it really does end abruptly - there is no way around that fact.
This is sadly something that i absolutely hate. Maybe not hate, dislike would be a bit better. I don't hate that the author didn't get to finish the whole plot/manga, but an unfinished story just leaves this empty feeling behind - "What happened then? Do they live? Was the betrayal real? Did they lie? What happened to the cycle? What the actual frickity frick?"
The series would be a solid 8 or even 9 if it weren't like for the ending. Because I don't think i would have read the story, if i had known it would end like this. I almost gave it a 6 even, but i would be lying if i said i did not enjoy the story still.
My advice? If you're not bothered too much by an unfinished story, do it - read the manga. It really is great. But if you can't handle not knowing (like i do), maybe look for an another one.
(p.s. - just saw the MAL genres for this manga and i'm sorry to disappoint, but there is no shounen ai)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but im pretty sure repeated rape (forced sexual assault if you will) is NOT romantic.
This is insulting to any rape victim ever, especially male rape victims who often cannot seek help for the fear of disbelief and mocking. I think the one ones who would enjoy this kind of anime are obsessed fujoshi with no sense of discerning appropriate and inappropriate portrayals of male/male relationships.
Please don't watch this anime. I'm not one for giving bad ratings, but if I could have, I would have given it an absolute zero. But since it's not possible, I guess I would have ... to give it a generous 1.

I hate giving bad ratings. A five is usually the least i would give, and i was about to choose just that, but come on.. there are so many plot holes and unnecessary ‘flashbacks’ and information that it ruined a previously mediocore manga. The girl MC is the biggest damsel in distress that i have ever seen. She only asks to be let go. The story is lacking and all over the place. the characters are given some glances into their personality and problems but it gets left at that and you are left with questions.
Honestly it’s bad. It had potential to be mediocre ... or fine, but it squashed all of the potential under their foot.

I've decided to leave just a small review, as the others went through most of it all already.
The story is good, interesting maybe, but it lacks depth, the art mediocore and the enjoyment quite lacking. But I have a big ass praise to give. The characters or rather the character develpoment of the heroine. She really changes through the story and we get to see it all. Sure, she has her weak moments +, but she is a fine example of a character development well done. Although i only gave it a 6, i'd still recommend this manga, if nothing else, for the heroine ... we get to see grow. Good job!

Now, let me start by saying i don't particulary like shoujo manga. I dislike the cliche romance and instant love. But this manga struck me with the enjoyment i got while reading.
The story is basic alright, nothing special and i have no comment (except that there are some plotholes unresolved at the end, but i bet most of people don't even notice them). The art shows better promise than the story, with simple strokes and without the overuse of visual effects.
The characters, i think, are the best part. There is strenght in numbers and in this case, the small number of characters. There are four ... that you gotta know and that's perfect for the small amount of chapters. There is no use in importing 10 people for the sake of 8 chapters and that's what the manga got right. Sure, they screw up sometimes in their approach (ahem, Yuuki, the first chapter maybe? Don't get me started on Lancelot.).
The main characzer has a bit more personality than the usual Mary Sue- i mean MC. She's strong-willed, but unsure in particular moments. She's decisive and get's her shit together when needed. And even when she finally puts her walls down and decides to lean on an another person, that doesn't make her any weaker.
Overall, i give this manga a strong 8. Mostly for the enjoyment i felt and it's definitely a good and quick read.

I feel quite conflicted about this manga. Having dropped it in the middle of reading and coming back later, I do have to say it draws you in. I could talk about the story, but there are others that do that, so i see no point. Rather i will tell you how i see it.
The art is beautiful. The backgrounds are usually the stars of the pages, followed closely by the costume design. I, myself, rather enjoyed one of the main character’s androgynous design, but the other main one had a somewhat plain look. I guess it goes well with their role in ... society of this story.
I dropped it the first time because I got angry. The story keeps hinting at a romantic relationship between the two males, throwing almost pornographic images at times in it. I have no problem with that. I do however have a problem with oversexualisation of same sex couples, while subtly hating on “homos” at the same time. Which the manga does do, really subtly and sparely.
I came back because i love the aloof long haired boy and wanted to know more about his story, but the oversexualisation of his character threw me off so now I’m dropping this the second time at 22 chapters read.
The story is mediocre, quite plain actually. The subplots are episodic with only a bit connecting them. But the manga overall is a good read for when you want a bit of humor and some good looking characters to look at.
If you’re here for the yaoi, there is none. If you’re here for always clothed characters with a pure story, there is also none.
But if you’re here for the comedy (perverted or otherwise) and pretty art, nice dialogue and some episodic challenges/mysteries, i guess this could be your manga.

If you are looking for a short, funny and enjoyable anime, with simple art and nice backgrounds, you should consider watching this anime.

Story (6 out of 10): The beginning may seem like Ouran Host Club, but that's really just the first episode. The story revolves about a high school girl Tachibana Hotaru, who got drawn into the world of survival games by her two neighbours to repay a debt - the twist is that her two team-mates don't know that she's a girl (girls are forbidden in their team).
If you want an anime with a deep and spectacular story, this might ... not be the anime. Don't get me wrong, I loved the story and it's quite simple and enjoyable. It was funny and the ending was great (somehow, the endings in anime always disappoint me, but this wasn't really the case). Although I would have liked to see a few more action scenes.

Art (9) and sound (9): The art was great and simple (just as I like it). The characters were nicely drawn and I loved the backgrounds. The sound effects weren't overused, as they are in many anime and the music was also great.

Characters (7 out od 10): Each character was different and had it's own personality. They were enjoyable and funny and I can't decide on my favourite one. As the series progresses, you find out more about them. But they didn't really develop, this is where the anime lacks.

Enjoyment (10 out of 10): Why did I give it such a score? It's funny, it's simple and perfect for a short casual watching. It certainly didn't dissapoint.

Overall: As I said, it's one of my favourites anime. It's simple, short and interesting, with likable characters and great music. You find yourself laughing every episode. I really hope for a second season. While the anime isn't deep, or spectacular, it's really really enjoyable, so I'm giving it a 9.
