Overall: 10/10
If you aren't looking for an anime that will painfully tug at your heart, make you cry buckets and buckets of tears, or not wanting to emotionally connect to an anime, then you should probably look at another anime.
But if you do leave, you miss out on a beautiful story, one that will last with you for a very long time. Believe me, I haven't seen this since possibly 2 years ago, but I can still remember the emotions I had with it and the story. And I know this is just an anime and all, but it taught me how precious love and
...
family is. I know that sounds cliche but it's true, so please give this anime a shot.
So enough of me gushing over how emotional this is, let's get to the review.
Story: 9/10
This is the sequel to Clannad, but in case you haven't seen it, it's not necessary, it just goes into the characters a bit more and their high school life. It's like a random anime that's only there for comedy.
But shit get's real in this one. The two contrast so distinctly, but I liked that. The first series got you rooting for the main couple, and so they cleverly played our feelings that we had from the first season (Clannad).
How? Well, this story is about Tomoya and Nagisa and their future. Yep, sounds pretty boring but this story is written so amazing, it'll probably be the best slice of life anime ever (dare I say).
This story WILL make you cry. Period. But the reason I gave it a 9 only is probably because it wasn't the story that made it so memorable. It's because of the characters.
Character: 10/10
Definitely the strongest part out of the whole show. If they didn't have strong characters, I fully believe this anime would not have turned out as well. If you watch this, you'll 100% get attached to the characters. The main character, Tomoya, goes through some serious character development, something we're missing out on alot of animes. But that's not all, everyone is just seriously too adorable. Not exaggerating, you feel like you want to protect them and feel genuine anxiousness like a parent, but of course, as a drama, something bad's bound to happen.
Then you "hate" the show and can't accept this fate. But you got to keep watching, cause the show's already got you deep. And what's worst is that you can NEVER forget the bad/sad/tragic/gut-wrenching moments because the show won't let you. Well-played show, well-played.
Art: 7/10
Art here is fine, not that great, but for 2008-09, it's good. And Key's art is pretty.
Sound:9/10
The soundtrack especially that dango song. WHY? Sigh...
I love catchy, good songs, but songs that relate to the actual storyline and can make you remember a specific scene, just wow. The music alone, was enough to make me cry.
Enjoyment:10/10
I'm positive anyone who really gave this show a shot, came to love it. (After all it's ranked #4) Just make sure you have a couple of tissue boxes before you start.

This 11 episode anime is an anime worth checking out. We've all heard of the "money doesn't buy happiness" line and this anime takes an interesting spin on that idea.
Enter the world of Yoga Kimimaro. It's Japan, and the economy is going down, real fast. So many people are suffering, and inevitably, people driven by their greed in desperate need of money will give up their future for money. And that's what the financial district is.
A MIDAS financial district is connected to every area's economy. And like anything, nothing's free, even when it comes to "free" money. In order to earn MIDAS money, dealers,
...
can earn millions, even trillions, but it comes at a cost. Every time Midas money enters, the future is lost.
Now add in the antagonist, Mikuni. However, he's not all that evil. He's driven by good intentions, that we need to preserve the present in order for the future. He sees promise in saving "today", unlike Kimimaro, who tries to save the "tomorrow". Now, this is where I was conflicted. It was a good plot, most are bland, and are just like one choice is obviously correct, but here, it was a paradox. Saving today is just as important, right? Without today, there's no tomorrow. But having millions of futures dying is just as bad. SO HOW DO YOU BEAT THIS PARADOX?
Watch the anime. There's your answer. Paradoxes are far more interesting to watch, and the art was ok and unique, not the familiar anime style we're used to. The characters were also pretty cool, considering the assets-(sort of like pokemon in a way) were your futures.
I enjoyed the unique storyline and as an 11 episode anime, it deserves more episodes. Definitely an anime worth checking out!

This was a surprisingly enjoyable shoujo manga. The forbidden love theme has been done so many times before, but the way the author added youkai (demons) and the cute relationship between the two main characters made it enjoyable to read.
If you read this, no doubt you will root for Nanami, the main character, and Tomoe, her familiar's relationship. This manga made me smile and laugh at Nanami's cute antics.
The story's not the most original, Nanami, being the clumsy hardworking girl, and Tomoe, the perfect, smart but cold man. However, I loved Nanami, as she is so adorable. Her moments were also sweet, and you
...
just can't help hoping that she'll be with Tomoe.
It's a fun read and you love shoujo manga, try it. It's good!

Yes, this is a hyped anime. But it deserves the hype it gets. It's absolutely amazing. Ok, so I am a SAO fangirl and yes, there were some flaws, but doesn't every anime have them? If you're thinking about it, don't second guess yourself. I heard about the hype, and I, too was like how good can it actually be? Watch the first episode, and you'll be hooked.
The idea of being in a virtual world where if you died, you died in the real world was brilliant. I love MMORPGS, and when watching this anime, I felt like they gave the gaming world justice. The
...
story line was rushed to me, though. You have 100 floors, so use all of them! Also, every boss fight, only took a couple of minutes. They were still badass though, but I felt like they could have been longer. Also, each episode was like its own plot line which was fun, but it made it feel even more rushed. But then again, that's better than just dragging on till the point where you just give up on the anime.
The art was beautiful and I loved how each floor was it's own landscape. I really wished they went more in detail, but I won't argue. The anime is refreshing and everyone gets a total makeover in the second arc. ;) But, I didn't like the looks in ALO compared to SAO, in SAO, Kirito, the main character, looked cooler.
The voice actors were really great. I personally fell in love with Kirito's voice, and Asuna's wasn't annoying like how some characters are. The sound in the fights were good, too. Even though, the background/battle music wasn't my favorite, it was still good.
The bonds (episode name hehe) between everyone were so sweet, and I was totally rooting for the main couple. And you get to see how Kirito changes. I liked every character individually, but they weren't the most unique. Kirito, being the main character, has everything come so easy for him. But this is an anime, and I love Kirito, so it's ok.
Overall, unique story with beautiful art. I finished the anime in 2 days, watching 15 episodes today, the anime will not bore you.

This anime had me laughing and it's a great break from all that heavy arc-filled animes. Sure, my favorite animes are definitely the ones with the best storylines that just make you want more. But, this anime didn't falter in making me want to watch it.
The art is ok, not too shabby. And the sound is fine. The characters are interesting and I like the idea of having an adult-looking kid, even if it was completely bogus.
So, if you're on break or just want to relax, try this anime. Each episode is only about 3 minutes long and you can watch any episode
...
in order. I really enjoyed this.

If you are looking for a new manga to read, try this out. You won't regret it.
The plot line was unique: A bomb had caused 1 million people to forget their memories. Thus, they were demeaned. Add in the brilliant main character, Noa, who is a genius and at the center of all this, and his fight to gain the rights of the Kid'z (ones with memories wiped) against the Adults (the ones with memories still). And there are so many plot twists, I couldn't stop. I finished the entire manga in a matter of 2-3 hours.
The art was done well, but overall the story
...
was good, but a little too fast-paced. It's definitely better than some stories just dragging on and on, but the story could have been stretched out more. And, the characters could be developed more. We learn about Noa and his past, but that's about the only character that we really get to know well. However, none of this should turn you away. This manga is smartly written, and you will enjoy it.
