Love is War is back, and manga readers know that this season is the one to behold.

The first episode starts off with the comedy we've all come to know and love from this series, except it's dialed up and more absurd than we've ever seen it before. Animation is still clean and easy on the eyes as usual, and the unique stylization this show uses is still at play and in full force. The characters, the obvious highlight of this show, are still their interesting selves, and the interactions they have with one another feel natural and remain at ... the top of the genre. The OP is still an absolute banger, with Masayuki Suzuki coming back to deliver a third incredible performance in a row. The season started off incredibly strong, and I cannot wait to see how it ends.

I think I speak for all of us when I said I wasn't expecting something this good.

Just 3 episodes in and:

Character dynamics are already established and an absolute treat to witness.

Both Kongming and Eiko (And the side characters) have all been written well.

The narrative is clearly defined, and I've enjoyed it greatly so far as well.

... The animation is smooth and extremely high quality, stylized, and great.

Both the OP and ED are incredible, I've already put them both in my playlist and listened to them on repeat. All the songs sprinkled throughout have all hit as well.

Besides Spy Fam and Love is War, Paripi Koumei is THE anime of the season, and given the quality displayed thus far, the show has the potential to be on par with those two behemoths.
