Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku

It's basically an everyday life story about a group of friends who not only accept each other for who they are but also help them grow into better people, for themselves and for each other. The difference is, the romance aspect in Kaoru Hana is much stronger than in Skip to Loafer, and the basic "issue" that each author brought up/chose was much more believable and emotional in Skip to Loafer than Kaoru Hana. However, both manga's inner conflicts are realistic and believable.

They have similar but different goals and sometimes they need to go to many different places to achieve that goal, and in their journey they find many meanings such as love, sadness, happiness, life lessons, meaning of interacting with other people, etc.. The main characters have different traits and personalities but both are so pure that as time goes on they change more and more and understand a lot of things. Their outfits are a bit similar (wearing dresses and both carrying suitcases & umbrellas), and basically what they do is similar, namely to heal people's hearts but with a different method.

Pretty similar. Both are just about a couple who live and spend their days together. There are sweets, there are troubles, there are difficulties, there are funny things.. and no (big) drama. A cute and very fun slice of life. Reading both are like seeing an ordinary couple in real life living and doing routines. There's no special topic or anything.. but that's what makes it special and really good. The only difference is that Harukaze mentions about other people's views and risks of being gay, while Hige to Suzu doesn't. However, they both have a slightly similar family background/situation.

Immediately thought of From Up on Poppy Hill when watching Kids on the Slope. The background and concept of the story are different but two things that are certain is that both have high school characters in the 60's, and somehow both anime give off the same vibe. The songs used in both are also really "light" and pleasant to hear, especially on Sakamichi because it is a music-themed anime. Worth to watch, worth to try!

High schoolers loving each other and being adorable. Both had exactly the same problem and vibe (not to mention the characters.. the popular one and the shy/quite one) The feeling when watching it was like eating a pancake. Light, sweet, warm, and the "portion" is just right. The most obvious difference is that doukyuusei is a shounen-ai, while Asagao to Kase-san is a shoujo-ai. But if you welcome with both, I suggest you to watch these two! ♡

As weird as it is, but both have true meanings of 'the power of friendship' in your life. Both Sarazanmai and Tsuritama showed us many good lessons about how important to having relationship with anyone, or everyone, in a weird yet good way.
