The reason I don’t recommend this anime is that whether you’re new to isekai or a seasoned watcher, there’s a high chance you’ll find it boring. For newcomers, it’s not a good introduction to the genre, as it doesn’t showcase what makes a great isekai anime.

The character designs leave a lot to be desired, but I get that the genre is overexploited—when an isekai follows a working formula, it’s criticized for being unoriginal, yet when it tries something new, it often gets backlash. I know I’m falling into that same trap, but as someone who has watched a lot of isekai, I can confidently say ... this is not a good starting point. Even after watching the whole thing, my opinion remains the same. It’s quite boring, and while effort was made to bring something fresh, it ultimately failed in its attempt.

I don’t like making long reviews, so I’ll keep this brief. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely borderline bad. While it doesn’t do much justice to the isekai genre, it was engaging enough to follow week by week to see where it was going. It tried its best to take notes from Overlord, but unfortunately, it neither surpassed it nor left a significant mark as a successor, which is disappointing. I expected more from something following in the footsteps of such a standout series, but it ultimately failed to deliver.

I haven’t watched Sword Art Online yet, but from what I’ve seen, this anime seems to ... be attempting to replicate Kirito’s vibe—and honestly, it falls short.

This anime serves as a good example of what happens when amateur producers don’t handle isekai properly. It teeters on the edge of being outright bad—slightly trashy and unpolished. I also think this show might be used by people who dislike isekai as evidence to argue that the genre is inherently bad.

So, in summary, this anime gives those who hate isekai more ammo for their arguments, which is unfortunate.

This anime might be generic, and it has all the things people may say about any fantasy anime, but this anime is the worst offender of all... it’s quite bad to the point that it hurt my eyes. The anime follows the story of a guy who gets kicked out of a party and then turns out to be powerful. The mystery of how and why is not that important, and it adds to the intrigue. The anime in general doesn’t stand out that much—it’s quite a generic fantasy.

The animation is decent, not amazing, but consistent despite the low budget.

The fights and many things in the narrative are pretty lackluster.

It’s quite common these days, the trope of the overly cheerful, overly enthusiastic female lead paired with a somewhat dense and dull guy. This relationship is repeated often but seems to be the favorite ... trope for generic fantasy. Can’t blame them for repeating it.

Well, the anime is certainly generic and lackluster. The intention is what counts—they offer some drama with the idea that something big might happen, and slowly uncover the mystery to keep you engaged until the end, leading to another lackluster fight. It’s disappointing but expected—it’s neither deep nor anything special since it’s generic and low-effort in its story development. But at least the motives are clear and explained, I guess.

Overall, I don’t recommend it since there are better anime to watch in 12 episodes. But if you want to kill some time with a not-so-exciting story, this is it.

Despite these issues, I still find it enjoyable. The music and art animation are up to a high standard, showing that it was created with care. Thus, I don't have any complaints in this aspect; in fact, it's much better than many other anime.

It can be seen as somewhat philosophical, and while it may seem repetitive to some, there's value in revisiting similar tropes from different authors. Deep down, these ideas are very similar, and for those unfamiliar, they can reinforce the same concept.

The anime seems to draw inspiration from many existing works, which is not necessarily a bad thing. However, it falls short of exceeding or outdoing those works. The saving grace is that it still manages to be a decent show by utilizing already proven ideas. My review is mixed because the anime production could have focused more on improving character design and other aspects.

The animation is not groundbreaking, but it is decent enough and not a distraction. It gives the impression of being low budget or having an inexperienced FX team, as the magic circles look mediocre compared to those in other anime. The ... main character, Rein Shroud, looks like a taller version of Bell Cranel or Falma de Medici.

Regarding the harem of girls, in my opinion, there is a good variety, which is a positive aspect. The red-haired dragon girl is a tsundere similar to Eris Greyrat, so it deserves some credit. If we compare it to other anime with better quality, you may skip this one. However, if you have the time and want to experience a range of quality in anime, you can watch it. It may be lackluster in many aspects, but it is entertaining. seems to me the author tried to create something by mixing ideas from amazing works but fell short.

To be honest, this anime is kind of a pain to watch. Most of the characters are kind of annoying. the main character is usually scared and hesitates most of the time to act.

It took me a while to finish it because I found it annoying due to the characters always being traumatized. This anime proves that the overuse of traumatized characters can make things annoying and painful for the viewer for no good reason. I hope that if they ever make a second season, they stop the overuse of scared characters.

If you're already out of patience and bored, not in a good mood, ... this anime is not advised. Because, as I've already mentioned many times, the main character is very annoying. If you're already frustrated with people who don't have their act together due to psychological problems, it will amplify any annoyance about this type of people. So, I would prefer to watch anime with a happier theme or something more comedic. This anime only proves that annoying characters suck.
