When I watched horimiya (2021) it reminded me immediately of my little monster. Both these anime feature cute unlikely (mc) couples that create hilarious anime moments and make you wish you could watch them together forever. Similarities: Both anime are school rom coms Both anime feature an early confession (although this doesn't mean everything is smooth sailing, especially in my little monster) Both the main couples feature people you wouldn't expect together Both female mcs (Shizuku and Hori) are very assertive and smart. Both male mcs (Haru and Miyamura) give delinquent vibes (Miyamura with his piercings and Haru with his fighting) Both feature sweet relationships that have a lot of depth. The only differences are the characters and the storyline (MC) Character Differences: Male mcs: Miyamura is quiet and not academically smart; Haru is loud and academically smart. Female mcs: Hori is popular and outgoing; Shizuku is quiet/disinterested and doesn't have any friends (at first). Storyline Differences: In horimiya there are multiple romance storylines/triangles/relationships, but in my little monster apart from the storylines that revolve around the mc couple, there only seems to be one more romance storyline. The only other difference is the literal plot, both these anime are very similar but are undoubtedly separately unique. I can't say one is better than the other, because I don't think they can be compared to each other in that way. They both give the same amount of happiness and comedy when you watch them and makes you wish there was more. Basically if you love one you'll love the other.

These anime are such EXTREMELY funny shows. Both the mc are ridiculously OP that it's hilarious. In tatoeba the mc (Lloyd) is OP but thinks he's weak because he comes from a village where descendants of strong people (to be specific heroes) live. So when he gets to a normal town the gap is quite astonishing. But the funny part is that the mc remains unaware. Along with many other colourful and wacky characters this anime reminds me a lot of One Punch Man. In One Punch Man the mc (Saitama) is also ridiculously OP, he wanted to become a hero so he trained so much that he became bald. The comedy that comes from Saitama being OP, is the other heroes you see in comparison to Saitama. Saitama for a number of reasons isn't even an actual hero and when he does become registered well, let's just say he isn't recognised for his ability. Because of this you'll see lots of intense battles with other heroes and later Saitama (who wasn't called to the scene as others don't know he's strong) ends up ending the battle with 'one punch.' These are the two main similarities between the shows, but both also have fun, wacky characters and many hilarious moments. If you like one, you'll definitely like the other.

After watching the second episode of YnM I immediately thought of Johan. Their characters are very similar in how charismatic and likeable they are despite both giving of sociopath vibes. Plot wise they're both different, with the Monster perspective shown in favour of the protagonist and the YnM perspective favouring the antagonist. But both shows have similar vibes. Monster progresses slowly but if you like one you'll probably like the other. Also Johan and William are both blonde so that's another similarity.
