Not an Isekai, not a reverse Isekai, but it's main theme is to be an Isekai. The secret of it's success is not to take itself seriously, but the author placed her heart in the creation of this work.

At the beginning, you will think is another Isekai/Videogame related anime that tries to be funny within it's action oriented plot (like Konosuba). But soon you will find it has it's own soul. A vorpal based soul.

If you have a life within gaming communities and you've enjoyed MMORPG's this anime is a must.

SLF is action packed comedy with slice of life storytelling and some memorable characters. Music ... is superb and the plot gets very engaging on time.

The protagonist is not (yet another) overpowered all omnipotent guy with a dummie inside (like Mash or Saitama) but a noob. A very talented and excelent gamer (noob within SLF) who chooses to raise luck and critical hits.

After a long time after the release of the original anime, this final arc is released to be the exact same thing as it's predecessor. A very average Shounen anime full of filers, repetitive and boring.

Only if you liked the previous arcs (a lot) will make sense to you to watch this mess of an anime because you will use the nostalgia factor to react to character outcomes.

Favorite characters won't appear like Yoruichi Shihōin and other beloved characters will have too few time for them like Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck. While other honestly annoying characters such as most antagonists ... as well Gotei captains will be given too many time on screen for them.

The first 8 episodes (at least) of this new saga would have happened the exact same without Ichigo Kurosaki (main character). This makes protagonist existence entirely irrelevant. You will neither watch Ichigo's Hollowification or other forms. He will game lame powers after some time similar to those of one of his friends, making this very boring.

Beatless is not about robo bitches (or mechanical waifus) but about Brainless studio, writers and artists.

If you love tasteless fan service with lame characters and unbearable plot, this crap is for you.

But I won't give a 0/10 but instead aq 5/10 because this anime helped me learn a lot:
1-Even the guy that directed the first FMA can make absolute CRAP
2-Diomedea is CANCER
3-An anime can be dropped when the plot gets interesting (because it is plain retard)

But it was not meant to be bad. Even if not original, and even if the execution failed miserably, the story is compelling, should have been at least enjoyable, but ... it was not.

What went wrong? Lazy 2nd key and in between animation, a lot of argument mistakes of continuity and plot writing, very poor script and very lame characters.

I think, this could have been a very good seasonal ecchi anime, but even if it does not take itself seriously, you can make a very decent job with at least very smart writing.

For example, take Sora no Otoshimono. Is not a "good" anime, it does not take itself seriously (except when battle wise as this should have been), but is very enjoyable, is funny and characters even if cliche are very nice. In this, Beatless failed miserably. Bad Sci-fi, terrible argument and not even enjoyable characters.

Masterpiece. Exquisite beyond words.

After watching the entire Kizumonogatari saga, I realize how much I love it. The art, the style, the storyboard, the characters, everything is perfect.

The story is almost obvious to guess from the beginning; after all, is intended to connect to the rest of Bakemonogatari perfectly. So you know how all will end. But non the less, it manages to be surprising, awesome and with the perfect balance of action and emotion.

If you like Bakemonogatari concept and story, you will definitely love Kizumonogatari. One of the best Seinen ever created.

Story: 10
We all love Shinobu. And the transition between Kiss Shot to Shinobu is ... one of the best stories that Bakemonogatari universe has to tell.

Art: 10
The art is PERFECT. Every single frame will make an awesome background. Key as well as secondary animation were executed to perfection.

Sound: 9
Sound is outstanding. But plot will distract you from really enjoying it at least the first time.

Characters: 10
Well, if you love Bakemonogatari, is likely that is because of the characters. Shinobu and Hanekawa are some of my favorite anime girls.

Enjoyment: 10

The truth behind Re:Creators

When I first saw this work was originally written by Rei Hiroe I got very excited and the reason is quite obvious: He created Black Lagoon. And who the hell doesn't want another slice of that amazing cake? I miss his amazing and well developed characters, his mature approach to write Seinen with all the deepness of works like Cowboy Beebop but without the psychological thickness of works like Evangelion.

In a nutshell, I expect quite a lot of Rei Hiroe. And when I looked into direction, I got a very amazing surprise to know it was going to be directed by ... Ei Aoki. And if it does not ring a bell for you, well my friend, Ei Aoki is one of the best directors out there. Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Zero, Aldonoah.Zero, Ga-Rei Zero are masterpieces that serve as testimony of my words. The guy knows how to direct Seinien, not a single doubt.

Then I found myself with another BIG NAME: Hiroyuki Sawano. He is composer for works such as Blue Exorcist, Kill la Kill, Aldonoah.Zero and MOST IMPORTANT: Shingeki no Kyujin (Attack on Titan).

And with such a cast of talented individuals, my expectations for Re:Creators started very, very high.

Many individuals have very accurately decomposed several aspects of this amazing work so I won't bother to repeat it again. Instead, let me approach this review from another perspective:

THE AMAZNG Re:Creators POTENTIAL

This anime has all that is needed to make a long lasting time-proof masterpiece. And some kids are actually not liking it (therefore it was a lot of mixed reviews) because this is not what they expected. In Re:Creators is not about Fan Service, is not about Action Scenes (although it contains some very amazing ones), it is also NOT a male harem. Is a (sometimes) slow paced anime full of dialog, introspection, philosophy and a very original perspective on how anime, manga and game characters perceive us (instead of us, viewers, perceiving them).

If you are looking for a mature and interesting perspective about what may happen when fantasy worlds and the real work collide, look no further. It will remind you of Fate/Zero as well as Re:Zero. However, Re:Creators has it's original flavor and the cliché characters are designed specifically to go beyond their own clichés. An amazing example is Mamika. Oh Gosh Mamika is such an amazing character.

All that said. I expect Re:Creators to become a masterpiece. So far, so good. We will see what Fate has to say.
