Hoo boy, this is a weird show.
Let's keep this review short
Woah, what a ride. Started out pretty generic with it's "oops I kissed this girl, now she's in love with me but also a huge tsundere" and kind of kept pushing tropes until like, episode eight or nine when things start getting real crazy. Like, woah, I think I just watched someone die. What kind of school is this? Like, forget the whole dudes cross dressing, that chick just straight up murdered like five people (except not, because anime magic makes for happy ends)

could've fleshed out the tiny glimpses of interesting character development that we saw. It wasn't, and therefore didn't.
Overall, a guilty pleasure show that's definitely below average. Don't let that stop you from watching though, there's a fight scene with a naked chick and a couple good "oh snap" moments.

TL;DR version
Felt like it followed the unspoken formula for good modern anime, but with extremely good execution plot-wise.
As confusing as it as first, it all comes together at the end for a satisfying conclusion.
Gah! Another one of those endings that makes me wish I had friends!
An interesting story, where going in knowing nothing makes it more enjoyable. Quit reading past the synopsis! that's all you need to enjoy this anime!
The story starts off at a relatively quick pace, and then gains more speed all the way to the conclusion. This twelve episode anime is perfectly packed in the most satisfying way in regard to

pace and closure.
That means there's practically no chance for a season two, but that was such a good ending that nobody would want that anyway. ah, emotions.
The background music was pretty meh, and I honestly don't remember what it sounded like, but the OP and ED were pretty catchy and swell. Oh yeah, both totally added to my playlist!
Animation. Didn't revolutionize the industry or anything, but pretty smooth. anyway.
Characters played their roles rather well, but I feel like with such a huge ensemble and such a small amount of time they couldn't really get a chance to shine. Not really too deep with any of them. Heck, they gloss over a good amount of stuff with their development. Make me empathize more, dangit!

So I liked this show a lot, but it's a niche kind of show. You'll either love it or think it's mediocre at best.
If there's any way to describe this show without specific examples, I'd have to say it's a well executed show full of tropes that we all want to see more of. It's really detailed at some points in regards to jargon, but kind of runs over others.
It doesn't really focus on just one character, it focuses on the ensemble as a whole. every character gets an episode or two to them self, except for like, that maintenance guy, but whatevs.

lot going on, and doesn't really spend too much time on any one theme or subject, which may throw you off, but they are done rather well. It's a good mix, but the fact that it's a mix may not suit your palette.
For the most part, the earlier episodes all wrap up their stories while the later ones kind of weave together a bigger story that was slowly creeping up.
The backing music was pretty good at times, and meh the rest. The OP had a few good points but was pretty meh, and the ED was forgettable.
Art was really well done, good CGI blend for action, but really nothing innovative or breathtaking. cool powersuits though. I'm a sucker for those and mecha.
TL;DR
Like Tiger and Bunny, if they were actually cops and not on TV.

So much goes to waste in this anime.
While I understand that there's really not much to go off of, the problems of this show are still obvious. The pacing is weird, characters suddenly pop in and out, and a lot of plot points are buried in the easy-going rhythm of the show.
The females dialogue all sound like background characters who don't even have names, the club the MC is in didn't even name two of the three characters in it, the MC has a little brother with like three lines in the entire show that I forgot about for like six episodes, and one

of the characters on the cover art only shows up in one episode. Also the leading heroine (rurumo) doesn't really stand out. I wanted to see more of a connection between the two main characters, but there wasn't enough until near the end. The show takes too long to get somewhere.
This show could've survived with a six person cast, but there's way too many forgettable characters.
The art and music were a refreshing change from what I'm used to but really didn't go anywhere with it. I almost got a fooly cooly feel from it, but it didn't really expand on that.
I found myself struggling to stay interested in a few episodes, but in the end I finished it.

- nice break from "mainstream" animation
- a couple of lesser explored ideas that people like to see
- Although cliche, interesting in it's execution.

- bad pacing, not just slow but occasionally glossing over details
- cast was too large, forgettable characters
- slow to start, and then ends when you start getting interested

This anime follows the manga very closely.
Sora no Otoshimono is a romantic comedy, also known as a romcom. Of it's genre, it stands out from the crowd in that the jokes are actually funny and the ecchi isn't over the top, yet it still falls prey to flat characters and a storyline which lacks a bit.
Ecchi is like the topping on a hot dog, it's not the main attraction but it certainly adds flavor. While some series sacrifice all else for ecchi, Sora no Otoshimono moderates itself (just a little bit). It's not a (huge) distraction, which is good.
The characters are pretty flat. The

character that develops the most is Icarus (Ikaros), who struggles with trying to become more human like for her master. That doesn't get very far, nor does it really seem to be a driving point in the story.
The story, it actually includes drama. There were a few parts where I knew what was going to happen solely because I read the manga, yet I still was shocked to see it happen. It kicks it from comedy to drama in a few seconds, but unfortunately only when it comes to one character. Still, plenty of "oh snap!" moments.
Each episode has it's own ending theme, and episode eleven has a different main vocalist for the opening. The end themes are sometimes parodies of other end themes, but not always. The twelfth and thirteenth endings are actually quite beautifully done in my opinion.
However there's a spot in which Icarus sings. I was looking forward to hearing it after reading the manga, but the actual song is disappointing.
The art of this series is based off of the art of the manga, and while they did some parts worse than the manga overall I'd actually say that they illustrated the characters better, Icarus especially. I didn't really notice how well designed she was until I watched the anime. On the other hand, three unnamed characters seemed a bit underwhelming.
I enjoyed the series myself, but it is quite episodic. You could cut out a lot of episodes, but then again you could also take the pictures out of a children's storybook.
This series is not meant for heavy storyline fans.

Let's start off with the basics.
Art's on the cover, music's pretty mediocre, protagonists are slightly developed while everyone else is really shallow (but still hilarious).
NOW ABOUT THE STORY
The ending to an anime is usually either good or bad. This particular series is more of an in between, only because the ending didn't give enough of an ending. It's too subtle. The loose ends that should have been tied up nearly choked me to death. I was very confused and bothered. Time traveling in anime does that.
You could easily cut out the middle episodes, middle meaning 3 to 11. While there was some character development between

the two protagonists, that's about it. They're nice but they're irrelevant.
In certain spots there's a touch of dramatic irony in that you know it's going to happen and the poor sap on-screen doesn't. There's also a sad episode, as this is about the occult which naturally leads us to ghosts which then leads us to a sad ghost story.
It's definitely worth the time. But keep this in mind. if you over-analyze a magic trick and figure it out it sucks. Same with this show. Don't think about it too much, you'll just facepalm later either way.

Yes, it is code geass clone.
The show feels like code geass had sex with gundam seed, and the resulting child hung out with evangelion and to aru majutsu no index in Middle school.
I'm fine with the fact that it's a code geass clone, but the main- he's like another freaking shinji ikari. Like, seriously. Some more subtle similarities: There's a crippled kallen, a swig out of bakuretsu tenshi's cyber-loli after a few years, and then a bad play on renton/euruka/holland A La eureka seven with shinji as renton, lacusclyneXreiayanami's odd fusion as eureka, and gai as holland.
The whole thing reeks of WTF storyline,

but the rest of the series could (dear god please) turn out better. I take solace in the fact that the audio is wonderful. Apart from that, I'm hoping that this series gets it's rudders up because the whole damn thing is nose diving from take off.
Art's okay. Doesn't suck, but nothing ground breaking over here.
There's potential, but like hell is it realizing any of that right now. I pray that the next however many episodes that it runs for don't suck. I feel like I just watched micheal phelps slip off the diving board.
Ah, before I forget. The opening sequence starts off with some horrible engrish. It bothers me so much that I rip off my headphones everytime I hear that one line in the song. It's the only thing stopping me from bumping the sound score up a notch.

The original premise of the story was set up in a way that it could be taken in little bits, basically a bunch of different cases which the protagonist could solve and then be done with. However, after a few of these cases the series takes a turn and begins an arc which spans the rest of the series. Personally I felt like at that point it started to become another generic fight manga where two people take turns slugging it out until one passes out. the story doesn't really have much to offer actually, and there's not enough tension in the end.

and characters are all pretty mediocre, and nothing really sets this apart from any other "generic shounen". Of course, the beginning chapters were different, and I enjoyed those much more. They had me thinking "how is the protagonist gonna fix this one?" and had me waiting eagerly for the next chapter. Alas, after a few cases the author switched gears. Pity.
I liked the art, I liked the main, I liked the story at first. Then after twenty chapter it went downhill.
Overall, I liked it when it was coming out, but in the end it's only decent. Not great, but definitely not bad. I reread the first twenty chapters every now and then.

Well it sure as hell got me.
It starts off with a bit of innocence, then adds a bit of blood then adds a bit of nipple and then blam. dude 's shaggin his secretary. It's practically (basically) hentai. So hey, if you're into that kind thing check chap57pg25, there's a nice picture there for you.
Thing is, this manga looks like a bug that the mangaka couldn't squish. It just went wild until the end. What I mean is it's

This early manga has a bit of a dated feel to it, and you immediately think of the early 90's. After introducing the main characters, the story began to roll by and a comfortable pace. I'd have to say that this is one of the few times when I didn't notice the evolving storyline, which is always a good thing. The characters are all designed to work with each others personalities and there aren't all too many "minor" characters.
I'd have to say that the main theme of Living game would probably be making decisions in life, hence the name living game. It's mostly

centered on living space (characters move multiple times through the series) and the futures of the protagonists. The one thing that I noticed the most is the theme of moving on in life. Reading this manga felt like visiting old friends in my opinion.
Only one bad thing: the ending was pretty blah. it just kinda ends the story where it is, but nothing BIG happens. It's not necessarily bad, but it kinda gave me that "wait, it's over?" kinda reaction. like there's a sequel, but there isn't.
All in all, a great manga which truly describes the "slice of life" genre, a good read.
