This review may contain minor spoilers but I assure you I would try to keep it to the minimum. I'll include a couple of materials from other official sources for my review.
This is a love story about Yuu and Touko. Like everyone else in the early part of our lives, Yuu is at a stage where she does not understand the phenomenon of love. But as the story progresses, her encounter with Touko, little by little, has changed her.
Generally, on the surface, Shōjo manga or love songs make the occurrence of love seem so simple. But in reality, love is a complicated application. It comes
...
when you least expected it. Yuu was confessed by her Junior School classmate whom she knew for three years. She liked him. However, she wasn't able to reciprocate the feeling back to him. After all, she does not understand the meaning of love.
Next, we have Touko. At first glance, she is a model student, with good grades and good at sports. She was looked upon by the other students as the student council president. But, the truth is this wasn't her character. All she was doing was a replica of her sister (as she thought it was). On one fateful day, she has made up her mind and believes to achieve and complete what was left behind for her. But she disliked it. In the end, this temperament wasn't herself.
At the beginning phrase, what we have is a girl who is unable to grasp true love and another who is afraid of and unable to accept having people to love her false image.
Has love come naturally for you? Perhaps, to some the answer is yes. However, for the rest of us, love could be a sensation, a circumstance, or possibly a miracle that one has to acquire without knowing what the destiny has prepared for us. Some may be successful while the rest may not have received what they desired. The intertwined relationship is complicated. How could one tell when has one started to fall in love with the other. For all you know, they wouldn't know neither.
As the curtain has drawn, we would see how every action they have made since their first encounter has brought them to who they are today. You would most likely be stunned by how beautiful this masterpiece was crafted. There were a few turning points which many could notice. These essential happenings are able to draw and connect the dots to the satisfying conclusion that we've all received. As you progress together with the characters, imagine and delve yourself into the story. I'm sure you'll acquire more than what you have expected. Remember, as time goes by, people will change.
Personally, I really like how the author drew adequate character developments for each and every one. Be it the protagonists or the supporting characters, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. As we move along, there are many ups and downs, and many hurdles the characters have to overcome themselves. Many of the circumstances are closer to reality. That is why I fell in love with this manga. In every chapter, I could feel my heartbeat throbbing and my mind desiring for more. I could see how Nakatani has well-prepared her material and was very focused on her work when she embarks on this journey. I could proudly say she knows what the readers want. Every word in each sentences are build with feelings that accumulate throughout the story. When you finally reach the ending, you would be blasted with all the emotions. Perhaps, I was imagining myself as one of the protagonists, as this manga felt realistic to me. I suggest you to do the same, depicting your entire mind and body into the story to acquire the utmost appreciation of the content.
Secondly, I really appreciate how serious Nakatani is to her drawing. She does not substitute her artwork with superficial content. She ensures that every page is drawn down to perfection. Her artwork is filled with clarity, quality, and beauty. For example, the bells on the Echo's door, the rings on their fingers (not telling who to avoid spoilers), the characters' outfit, when the protagonists hold their hands, the boat on the background, the bridge and the mountain, and the two swans in the lake when they went for their school trip. This list can go on but I suppose you got my point.
I would like to hats off to Nakatani. In the interview conversation session between Nakatani Nio, Iruma Hitoma, and Yuzuhara Moke. Nakatani has explained how she has concluded with the ending. It just makes perfect sense. And to avoid spoilers, you should only check out the conversation after you have finished the manga. Furthermore, she has thought of possible alternative outcomes when she was questioned. It's incredible that she has planned this far.
Another thing that I admired her was her effort in redoing the second half of volume 7 to chapter 40 (the beginning of volume 8). She wants to portray the perfection of feelings when the reader perceives it. It's so magnificent and fortunate for the readers that she possesses such a trait.
It's really scary how effortlessly this manga could reach out and grasp my heart. The emotions I have felt with this manga were exactly the same when I've first started watching anime in 2010. Just like how having a meal at a special restaurant and it reminds you of your mom's cooking.
You may think I'm giving Nakatani a lot of praises. But that would be what I believe she should deserved.
With that, I would like to conclude that this will always be a masterpiece for me as long as I'm alive.

>>Introduction<<
Okay, it's been a couple days after I've finished this. Somehow, my unconscious mind has been telling me I would regret if I don't put down my thoughts into words. It's just splendid how an anime could make you do wonders. If one is thinking anime is just simply moving pictures, words, and music? Heck no. This work here presented to us is truly on its own quality. If you are still with me and haven't yet already watch this - I truthfully, in my heart, would say you are missing out one of the best pieces of work in this field.
How many exceptional pure
...
romance genre show do we actually have this past few years? Well, from the date of my review and if you include other genres, of course, we would have wotakoi, Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai, Net-juu no Susume, Just Because!, and of course not missing out SukaSuka. Among all these, in my honest opinion, Tsuki ga Kirei is on its own caliber at the top of the list.
The last time few pure romance anime I enjoyed were in 2016 (when I finished Kimi ni Todoke), 2014 (referring to Ao Haru Ride and Golden Time). 2013 (and Sukitte Ii na yo.). While these are good anime, however, none of these are on par with Tsuki ga Kirei. The true romance that could equally match with Tsuki ga Kirei are finite and could be counted with fingers (of my own awareness).
>>Content<<
How did the beauty of this piece of work entice upon its audience? We have to look through the progression of the characters and the beauty of the work. Tsuki ga Kirei expresses the unique features, personality, and emotions of each character carefully and showcase their forte. The story is rather simple without much complication but it has delivered a perfectly simple story that was encased with a somewhat bittersweet peculiar romance touch.
Every episode was essential in building up its development to its destination at a perfect pace. Each circumstance and situations that have been experienced illustrate the meaning of their life. You could perceive that every moment is a requisite and it helps the audience to feel the involvement of the characters. There are times you could think how the male protagonist is so cool while sometimes how the female protagonist did the right choice. It could be concluded that every fragment are equally prominent and after placed in the right spot would result in this perfect piece of work.
Of course, like most others, it has its own twists and, in this case, you might have to rely on their faith and beliefs including their own interpersonal skills to move on to the best resulting pairings that you may desire.
And not forgeting the music, soundtracks and songs coupled with appropriate scenes created by the Feel Studio to produce sufficient feels (pun intended).
>>Conclusion<<
I'm aware that we have different reactions to different perspective. As such, this review is wholely personalized and is only of my own opinion. Please take this as a two cents view. However, if you haven't watch it yet, I would strongly recommend this show for your own benefits.

Looking at the current generation in the anime production, there are many shows that could exhibit a trend that relates especially to those that observe them closely. Unfortunately, the recent ongoing are presenting decent story plot and in other aspect of the anime. However, in almost every seasons, there are always a few shows that have potential to prove the community a masterpiece is about to come to life. (But whether they could do it is another story).
And here we have, Boku dake ga Inai Machi.
Set in the year 2006, Satoru Fujinuma, a 29 years old manga artist, has a special ability known as "Revival",
...
in which he would travel back in time several seconds, to grant him an opportunity to help on a crisis event which is usually life-threatening issue. On a fateful day, Sachiko (Satoru's mother) visited him for certain reasons. As the episode continues, she managed to deduce a man who was responsible for the incident that happened 18 years ago. This, in return, caused the said man to come to silence her which costed her her life. As things turned unfavorable, with his "revival", satoru was taken back to the year 1988, when he was still an 11 years old elementary school student.
And this isn't the beginning yet.
Boku dake ga Inai Machi, as many has also refer it commonly as 'Erased', is a mystery show filled with many interesting details and a smooth flow of mysterious stories. The stories were reveal in Satoru's perspective and each episode is able to catch the viewers' attention, resulting most of them to ask for more. As the refreshing stories were pleasant, both the opening and ending theme songs fit them perfectly. The opening theme song was adequate enough to bring the viewers back into the show. And the ending theme matches the finish scene to end with a strong desire of wanting the next episode.
There are many positive factors in Boku dake ga Inai Machi but not all anime are perfect. There are always bound to have flaws - which is either minor enough that most would accept and still satisfied with the show or major to the point that the viewers have to point out their frustrations and disappointment.
Now I'll move on to the flaws that concern this anime.
In Boku dake ga Inai Machi, the issue though is, some may have grasped the truth in the early episodes. As it's critical to hide the truth to the viewers in mystery shows, this could cause serious damage to some of the viewers in the aftermath.
Unfortunately, the flaw does not end here. As there are many things that are fresh and interesting, there is roughly an equal amount that were left unexplained. With this, the show become a paradox. This, thus, create a divide between the viewers, in which one who isn't disturbed by it or the other that is unease.
To conclude, the flaws in the show does not affect me as much as it may have done to the other viewers. Hence, in my honest opinion, this show could have the potential to become a masterpiece. But the noticeable flaws are are keeping it from achieving the best and a position in one of the top place.
Note:
I'm aware of some bad reviews in this show. As a viewer and reviewer myself, your ultimate decision lies in yourself. And I am completely acceptable when others have different opinions as compared to mine.

Before watching this anime, you should know the definition of "omnibus format". The omnibus format main purpose is to dismantle harem genre anime such that the protagonist is able to have romantic developments with the multiple different chosen candidate without having a dispute between each other. One famous example would be the Amagami SS.
Amagami SS was the first anime that adopted the style "Omnibus Format". Each heroine had 4 episodes arc in which their romantic confrontation was completed. By each confront's conclusion, the universe would reset to the initial world for the next heroine's romantic confrontation to begin. All memories of moments that happened during
...
the 4-episode arc are also wiped. Photokano was successful in doing the same style.
However, Photokano which was aired in an omnibus format, used a different approach compared to Amagami SS. It used an introductory arc to let the viewers know more about the characters. Then, it approaches to appeal the viewers using the omnibus format.
Many would think that one or two episodes for each character may be too short. I might have to disagree with that.
The few episodes duration was enough. Even with the short duration, they've managed to deliver a well-developed character progress. Each heroine has drastically improve their relationship with the protagonist. Remember, at the end, the anime only has 13 episodes, with about half has been taken off for the introduction arc. If you're looking for a fully developed romantic anime, this place is not for you, please leave.
One thing I would like to mention which is the introduction arc. It's not very appealing and is superficial in expressing the show to its viewers. When I began watching this show, I was expecting this show might not produce great results. Although the omnibus format truly surprised me, the introduction arc didn't cause a great impact on me to continue watching it. In the end, one would think it's just an introduction. If the introduction were juicy, will it affect the main story and the climax? Ultimately, the decision lies on the viewers. For me, I'm fine with the advancement they used.
But again, this anime doesn't have many advantages. The only think I like is that they surprised me with using the omnibus format and the acceptable character development within such short duration. Other than that, I wouldn't say I'm very interested in the most other areas of the show.
In a nutshell, this anime is designed specially for people who are looking for an omnibus format style anime. If you like Amagami SS , this could be a wonderful gem for you. However, if you prefer a fully detailed romance anime, I suggest you drop this anime immediately.
Please note: You're suppose to give your feedback whether this review is helpful or not. Even if this review has its flaws but is helpful, you should choose the appropriate answer. Well, I'll leave that up to you. Good day, peeps!

Madhouse is known for anime production and adaptation of extreme contents. Their notable products such as Death Note, One Punch Man, and Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (to name a few) are psychologically intense. While, on the other side, less intense shows such as Ore Monogatari!!, Nana and Chobits give a different sense of ambient. Oda Nobuna no Yabou belongs to the latter.
You might be surprised how this simple show's capability of enticing you - wishing for more. The edge of the show is on its historical stories that compel the content onto the audience whilst paired with Madhouse absorptive capacity to transfer their heritage knowledge
...
of past works into the making of this anime. With their past experiences and capable technologies, Oda Nobuna no Yabou is produced. While it's debatable, any supposedly decent work with a stamp from Madhouse studio will be escalated into above average. Whether it may or not be for this case, it's up to how the individual interprets it.

This anime involves a good amount of slice of life with a slight feel of the supernatural genre. If you aren't interested in sol or supernatural, then you should step back and not try this at all.
The show does seem appealing to a certain target audience especially the youths but there is no stopping the adults from watching either. Now, this anime has a very unusual way of showing its storyline. The anime expressed the sensation of joy, comedy, schoolgirls, supernatural sources and combined it with "their daily life" into what known as Natsu-iro Kiseki. Every episode has depicted a form of uniquely. Further, a
...
fine growth of character development is built between the girls.
When I first picked up this, I was still new to the industry and wasn't expecting much but truly this show does give beyond expectation. However, it does has its shortcomings. Its potentiality is hindered by its indistinct variety of content and plain animation. There may have other flaws that differ according to individuals.
Conclusion:
You can pick this up when you are up for something light and decent for simple entertainment.
