So I finally watched ghost in the shell and I really wanted to like this movie but I just couldn't... Maybe it was the years of hearing about how great it was before I watched it or maybe I'm just not the right kind of person for these types of movies but... I felt like it was very surface-level philosophy made to seem deep. Now don't get me wrong visually this was a beautiful movie, and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their interactions but I just didn't get the deep connection everyone else seems to get from this film...

I would first like to point out I watched the Dub and i don't know if maybe the sub adds something to this film I didn't get out of the dub version
Minor spoilers
Story: 1
So I did not enjoy this movie at all I was expecting kiki to go through all sorts of hardships, learn to survive in a new city, grow as a witch and find her place in the world. Instead, I watched a weirdly glorified delivery service girl who is horrible to people for no reason, get jealous, have everything handed to her, face some minor issues that are easily solved.
...
There is only one lesson she really learns and it's so forced into the narrative it just feels annoying. Loads of plot setups never go anywhere and I didn't actually see any growth in kiki at all from the beginning to the end of the movie. I'm not entirely sure what the point of this movie was?? ALSO, WHY WAS THE CAT THING NEVER ADDRESSED???
Art: 7
I mean its a ghibli film, so it's pretty and this is probably one of the saving points of the film, it was nice to look at especially from something so old
Sound: 6
Some nice soundtracks, kind of hard to not compare it to other Ghibli films in this category however
Character: 2
this category gets a 2 and that's purely for the forest lady and the boy

Story:
Kakeru daichi is a boy who collects rare juice cans, when he bought a brand new one to add to his collection hell be in for quite a surprise. As he tries to drink his new can it turns into a girl. Melon one of the akikan who is destined to fight other akikans
Honestly this anime was such a disappointment for me. The premise seems pretty original, cans turn into girls, however they just turned it into a cliché girl fighting series. It was incredibly badly executed completely ignoring most of its premise.
Art:
The art style is pretty mediocre its not bad but
...
it could be way better. Some of the hairstyles look really unnatural and the designs don’t feel very original. The colours are quite bland and the action scenes don’t have enough motion.
Sound:
The opening of the series Miracle Plan ga Dekichatta! by Charmmy Queenmatches the show well enough but doesn’t particulary stand out, it is however one of the series more redeeming features. Its an upbeat and happy song
I actually didn’t really like the ending song, it felt like it was a bit all over the place, and I personally didn’t really connect to it. It did however match the show well especially with its title Juicy Extacy by Little non
Character:
Honestly the characters to me were very bland , and not very memorable. They didn’t get anywhere enough development and almost all the characters fell into their typical types.
Melon the main heroine I actually found to be quite annoying especially in the beginning later on in the show her personality improved somewhat but not to a redeeming degree.
Enjoyment :
I didn’t really enjoy akikan that much, It took me a long time to finish the show and I actually felt relieved when it was finished
Overall:
Akikan is a bundle of wasted originality and typical personalities. The characters are bland and forgettable and have next to no development. I wouldn’t recommend this show personally

A newbie adventurer finds a goddess and goes on a exhilarating journey meeting a lot of unexpected obstacles and friends
story;
The gods fell from the sky to join as one with the humans and to live among them, so they sealed up their powers giving them only one gift, the power to fight monster and to become apart of their famillia.
Cranel Bell a boy who went out into the world to become an adventurer, eventually he came across a goddess Hestia, and joined as the first member of her familia, as Hestia isn’t very well known and not many people were interested in joining her.
I absolutely
...
loved the premise of this series, as a big fan of rpg games and anime I was really interested in the fact that the people in the familia had to fight in dungeons in order to gain exp. It was a concept i could relate to pretty easily.
Art:
The art was stunning, it was bright, the outfits didn’t get boring, and the character designs were all very cute. The color were vibrant and the action scenes transferred smoothly, making them quite enjoyable. I do have to say some of the scenes in the opening didnt quite work with the music
Sound:
The first opening hey world by yuka iguchi is a very bright and upbeat song and I believe it matched the show very well, I personally really enjoyed it and yuka`s voice is very beautiful.
the ending song right light rise by kannon wakeshima, i didn’t like quite as much as the opening song but was still very good, it matched the mood of the anime and the animation went well with song.
character:
It starts out pretty slow paced but picks itself eventually. I really liked the characters they interacted well together, and the first few episodes were really enjoyable.
I really like the characters in Danmachi, bell shows obvious physical and mental growth and his personality is adorable. Hestia isnt a standard type, either which is something showing variety in her personality, however i do not think hestia had enough screen time, especially since we know almost nothing of her back-story.
I did fine that as i continued the show they started throwing in random side characters, taking away alot of space for character development regarding the main characters. Some didn’t even last for longer than one or 2 episodes or only had one minute of screen time an episode. I feel like this time could have been spend on showing maybe a bit more back-story of the main characters.
Enjoyment:
I think overall Danmachi was a very enjoyable show, appealing to both anime and gaming audiences. Funny with still a decent storyline
Overall:
Now this show had a lot of controversy when it aired due to the fact that it contained a lot of fan-service and the story was lacking in some places, personally i think you should just enjoy the show for what it is a light , fantasy anime that will give you a few laughs.

when your school number 1 beauty comes and sits next to you, saves you and tells you she`s a witch! what would any reasonable person do at that moment... denial
story:
Now i believe this story has its great points and its flaws. For one i believe a lot of cliché situation were used on this serie as a method of comedy relief. Don`t get me wrong i really enjoyed the occasional joke and i laughed at this serie plenty of times myself, however i believe some of them were a little to obvious.
The plot of this serie however I loved. I like how it was the
...
typical story (guy appears normal but has a secret power) but with a twist, putting focus not only to the main character but the situation around him, the witches.
Art:
The art in this serie was pretty good, simple but efficient not to mention that there were plenty of bright colours, well flowing action scenes and sceneries that were very enticing. I believe it lived up well to the standard of modern anime.
sound:
I love the opening to this serie, its fun, catchy and i think it matches the theme of this anime serie perfectly. The ending was just as good and i love how each witch sang their own part.
Character:
I find it really hard to judge the characters to this serie because on one side they are quite typical but at the same time their not. I feel like although quite a few clichés were used i do believe they were used with a twist, a way to make they slightly different from the rest. for example Kagari Ayaka I loved her SO much i thought she was funny and unpredictable, however in the end she just plays the emotionless character... but when it comes to takamiya kun her persona took an unexpected turn that made her so memorable.
I do believe Takamiya kun could have had more of a background considering he was suppose to be the main character.... in the end i think i actually found him the least memorable.
enjoyment:
I really enjoyed this serie and i really hope there will be a season 2
overall:
its funny, has a good plot and i would definitely recommend it

When two people are brought together by the hatred received from others, are they cursed or somehow blessed?
From the very beginning, I knew that I would enjoy this series. The story seemed interesting enough and the art looked amazing. But in the end, that's not why I ended up loving it so much...I fell in love with it because of the characters and their interactions with one another.
Story: 8
One day, the main character Akihito comes upon a girl standing on the edge of a building rooftop. Determined to save her life, he rushes to the roof and loudly declares: "A girl who looks as
...
good in glasses as you...simply should not die!"
From the start, these two were already unknowingly connected, with the half human-half youmu Akihito and Mirai, having been born into a cursed bloodline, both being shunned by everyone around them. Through this mutual empathy, a friendship is born.
In my opinion, the story isn't "cliché" or a "train wreck" at all. Yes, there could have been a little less filler and a little more story, but I believe that this amount of filler was necessary to establish the relationships between the characters as well as to help us get to know them a bit better. I personally feel this story is unique enough, especially considering the thousands of other anime series out there for which I couldn't quite say the same...
Art: 9
The art was one of the best aspects of the series. I was extremely impressed with Kyoto Animation's high animation quality. Moreover, the art style is great! It's bright, it's colorful, and there's plenty of attention to detail, making the action scenes flow quite nicely. Each scene looked absolutely amazing...I couldn't get enough of them! I especially liked the characters' eyes: they were so colorful and detailed and pretty and...
...Ahem, were was I again? Oh yeah, the art style is great!
Sound: 8
I really liked the opening theme song (Kyoukai no Kanata by Minori Chihara). I think it matches the anime's mood and the characters' situation. Not to mention it was kinda catchy. The ending (Daisy by Stereo Dive Foundation) was a bit more upbeat and still pretty good, though I still preferred the opening.
Character: 9
I love the characters. They were all so diverse, making their interactions with one another quite unpredictable. It was refreshing to have some personalities that were a little less "typical". As someone who has seen a reasonably large amount of anime, it's very difficult to find something different, especially character wise. Though what I really liked was how no matter how dark the show got, the humor shown when the characters interacted always kept me laughing my ass off.
However, I do think certain characters (Mitsuki, for example) could have gotten a little more development. I mean, I know this is a short series, but some things could easily have been replaced with back stories or something with little to no substance lost.
Enjoyment: 9
I loved this anime series from beginning to end and just couldn't stop watching it. It's funny, has romance, action, and magic, and it's fantasy. What more could I ask for?

over a century ago.... mankind had a new enemy. The difference between mankind the their new found enemy was overwhelming.... soon mankind was driven to the brink of extinction
story;
Living within the safety of the walls, sina, rose and maria humanity was able to escape this new enemy.. the titans. Usually several stories talls and hungry for the flesh of humans. Humanity was trapped by that which kept them safe... the walls.Within these walls is a boy..... Eren jeager. Unlike most people within the walls Eren Jeager had the desire to go outside. He lives in the wall together with his two friends Arwin and Mikasa. he was
...
mocked for his dreams to venture outside and to join the recon corpse, i mean why put your life in danger?.... were fine as long as were within these walls right?.....wrong. Their 100 year peace was interrupted by the colossal Titan who broke wall maria and allowed the Titans to enter the city.... this would lead to a tale of a boy revenging is murdered mother and his two loyal friends......
I loved the originality of the series and how it focuses on the challenges humanity faces and the more realistic view of it. You get to see that it doesn't always go the way we want because in the end.... we are only human. This concept was amazing however i feel like to many plot twist were introduced but not actually played out. A lot of questions are left unanswered and I feel like the main goal is completely ignored in the brink of the plot line chaos. Don`t get me wrong the story most certainly has amazing plot potential but its a little like giving you 4 pages of 20 manga books...... It can be good and all but if none of the plot is actually shown... it doesn't mean much.
Art:
The art was awesome.... I loved the realistic style used especially the eyes. I was also really impressed with the amount of expression used in the characters...you were always able to tell how that particular character feels. The action used is the series flows really well and was quite impressive. Atack of the Titans uses really bright and accentuated colours as well as well detailed backgrounds
Although i like how the art was animated a little differently i did not like the black bold lines that outlined the characters i felt like that put them out of sync with the background.
Sound:
I really enjoyed the first Opening Guren No Yamiya by Linked Horizon as i felt like it connected to the events in the series. The second OP Jiyuu no Tsubasa, also by Linked Horizon however i didst like ... although it connected really well with series i personally did not enjoy the opening song. The only thing i liked about the second opening was the line flugel der freiheit which means wings of freedom.
character:
I really liked the individual characters personalities as they actually reacted the way humans should in that particular situation. You go to see what humans really become like when put into that type of situation and how selfish we can really be. I also liked the concept of " No`one is safe" this refers tot he fact that anybody can die, even your favourite character could be dead within 5 minutes, this really creates a lot of unexpected plot twists.
Because the characters are so "human" they also all have a specific personality adn they all react differently to the same situation this means almost everyone is different. For example; Eren is a revengeful boy who cares about nothing than killing the Titans that ruined his life, Mikasa is the close friend who cares about nothing but to protect her friend and Arwin who is the "bookworm" of the series who feels useless and like a burden as he feels like he cant help his friends.
However i do feel that some characters could have used a lot more character development and were killed of WAY to quickly.
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed Attack of the Titan i thought the drama and struggle the characters go through was entertaining and you feel empathy for a lot of the characters as they go through these struggles.. you connect to them.
Overall:
I must say personally i am a little be sceptic of "hyped" anime series as they are usually quite action based and there is usually a reason even people who don't usually watch anime watch them..... i am not that big of a fan of series with large amounts of action as i am more interested in the plot and its not uncommon for "hyped" anime serie to action packed i mean look at Naruto... So was it worth the amount of love it gets?..... i can certainly see why it is so popular i mean its original, has great plot twist and plenty of action without it being repetitive. I know i should not judge a series by its cover however sometimes i cant help myself..... I am glad however that i did not let that stop me from watching this. I mean in the end it should not really matter how popular a series is as long as its good.

imagine you just woke up in a unfamiliar place with no memories at all and out of nowhere a girl is sitting in front of you with a gun and asks if you want to join their group...... welcome to the live of Yuzuru Otonashi.....
story: Otonashi ends up in the afterlife that appears to be a regular school campus. Of course refusing to believe that he is dead (like any normal person would do) he completely denies it.No memories of his past he finds himself at a difficult situation. Soon after he meet `Angel` the person who will make it very clear to him that
...
he is indeed dead. Soon after he joins the SS a group of people that try to stop themselves from moving on in any way possible.
The story is amazing. At first i already found the comedy used in this serie hilarious and as i continued i realised how deep this story really was. The drama in angel beats made me cry in several occasions and the story was interesting enough for me to want to keep watching episode by episode. However i think the romance genre was a little forced for some characters. Although some characters were really fitting for the role some of the more important characters i felt were a little bit forced together.
Art:
great art style..... the colours used are really vibrant and there is plenty of details to be found :). It really lived up to the animation used at that time.
sound: I loved the opening as well as the ending. I thought the opening was catchy sweet and i personally love the band that recording the songs used in this serie `girls dead monster` The ending really moved me and the music went really well with the ending scene as it was sad and relative
character:
I love how deep they go into a lot of the characters back story etc however some characters are left out and you don't get to much about at all. I am aware that its only a 13 episode serie so you cant fit it all in but that was slightly disappointing. I think some of the personalities used also could have used slightly more development.
enjoyment:
i loved angel beats it is one of my favourite anime series because it made me laugh, cry and want more right until the end.
overall: This is a great serie with great use of drama, comedy and a slightly failed romance aspect. I definitely recommend watching this... its original, awesome and one of the best series i have ever seen.

if your looking for blood, guts and gruesomeness then this is your poison. ( i dont review much so sorry for any mistakes)
story: 6
ive got to say i have personally not played the game and so i went into this not knowing exactly what to expect.
The story istelf is not bad i mean its a pretty good basic Japanese laid out horror story. The only problem i had, was that there was not enough actual story shown. It decided that it was going to focus on all the guts and blood and creepy stuff instead of actually explaining what the hell was going on,
...
I found this disappointing. After all that build up and mystery in the beginning we don't actually get to know much until near the end. Although i am aware that this is a 4 ep OVA i still feel like they could have gone into a little more depth.
Art: 8
The graphics used in this OVA were amazing i was really impressed. Im not used to horror series being this detailed and disturbing (just how i like it :9) The serie intself is pretty recent so i guess it was to be expected. The only thing i didnt like is that everything ended with guts and the remains often seemed to kinda look the same no matter how they died.
Sound: I personally likes the opening however i didn't think it suited the series very well. I was expecting something creepy and eerie...... and i didn't get that kinda feel from the opening. The music used to emphasize the thriller moments however were great.
Character: 7
I kinda liked the characters. They all acted a lot more natural to someone in that situation, i mean if you just saw your best friend die in the most horrific way ever then your not exactly going to be chipper about it unless your mad....
I loved that everyone reacted completely different to the situation they were in, this stopped it from being to repetitive.
Enjoyment: 8
I really love horror stories especially the kind with really deep storyline and even though this series storyline isn't the most complicated one it is completely shrouded in mystery and the characters have to put the puzzle pieces together themselves over time until you can see what's really going on.
Overall: 7
Great serie, awsome ending and amazing graphics planning to play the game soon

warning tiny spoilers........... ( not enough to ruin the special but there are some hints that may point towards certain results.)
A new outlook on Kanna`s personality..... filled with cute reactions and PUPPIES...
story:
So Kanna decides to send of all the girls that have connections to Chitose so that she can finally capture him..
...
Personally when i started this SPECIAL i expected something completely different. I expected the usual Kanna trying to capture him and the mama`s saving him scenario...
however what i was represented with was something completely different. We finally had a look at Chitose`s and Kanna`s kind caring side. Although we already experienced some of it with Chitose and the mama`s it was nice getting to know Kanna a little better instead of her running of after every kidnap failure. We get to know Kanna`s cute and shy side...... who apparently loves animals.
I also liked how it was shown from Kanna`s perspective.
Art:
The art was no different from the usual Happy Lesson animation. The colours were bright and the characters were just as well animated as expected.
Sound:
It had the normal Happy lesson opening and ending and i love them both so :)
character:
I really love Kanna i think she is one of the more fun characters in the series as she is acts really childish while you can still see that she is really quite intelligent ..... judging from her experiments..
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed this Special it was cute and different i was just a little annoyed with the obvious fan service at the hot spring.
Overall :
I really loved watching this SPECIAL and i would recommend it if you are a fan of the Happy lesson series.
