These two are more alike than they look. In both stories, girls from an alternative world fall into the lap of a young Japanese male. In Salad Bowl, it's more of a father-daughter relationship and in Elf-san, its more of a dating vibe. Both stories feature the MC introducing the girls to Japanese culture, and the girls interacting with the culture and the people inside of it. Both are easily watchable and fun shows that highlight themes of happiness and slice of life. If you like one, you'll really like the other!

These stories both involve a time travel plot that allows the characters to travel back and forth between the past and the future. Both Takamichi and Konoha are similarly weak characters who desperately wish to change things for the better but take no initiative to do so. While you'd never confuse one for the other, both characters are willful wallflowers who watch the plot happen to them rather than directly affecting it. If you like time travel and telegraphed plot twists you can see from a mile out, you will find a lot to like in both shows.

I'm surprised no one mentioned these two anime as being similar. Without spoiling anything, both shows will leave you with a wonderful giddy feeling by their conclusion. Make sure to watch ReLife's OVA for the full experience!

Kuze and Hikki gave me the same vibes. While they appear to be loners/slackers on the surface, they both have an incredible ability to influence events. Each falls in love with the pretty but abrasive and help her achieve a goal and come into her own. Throughout this process, he comes to be a big part of the student council and gain the attention of multiple women, who may or may not have feelings for him. While Oregairu is more dramatic, both the MC and main love interest are strikingly similar, and these shows give off a similar viibe.

Pretty much the same show. Typical everyman main character actually possesses god-like powers that manifest themselves whenever the plot requires, effectively removing any stakes or conflict from the story. Generic one-note characters including a girl, who likes the MC for some reason. If you liked one, the other is more of the same, so you'll like that too.

Surprised no one has recommended these two shows yet. Seemingly normal guy who is good with girls comes to a magic school on the recommendation of a high-ranking member of the school, someone who he used to work with in the army. No one thinks much of him at first, but he's secretly a world-class mage with military experience and the strongest asset in the country's military. Some trauma occurred related to the battlefield, so he is recommended to come to the school and live a normal high school life. While there, he befriends many girls, who eventually develop strong crushes on him. While he is hesitant to reveal his power at first, he does so to protect the girls and other students. If you like one, give the other a try.

These are basically the same premise, and if you like one you will surely like the other. Typical guy finds a dungeon/door to another world that only he can enter. Said world/dungeon grants him numerous powers and makes him OP and instantly attractive to all the ladies. Each anime follows their journey as they impress people with their unique powers and regularly go back to their respctive dungeon/world to train. If you loved one, the other will be right up your alley!

Both are dramatic shows that center around music, the relationships one has with fellow musicians, and the process of growing older and coming of age. Both are bittersweet but uplifting musical anime that will tug at your heartstrings.

Same general themes of time travel and coming of age, with one being a movie and the other being a show. Both were made by "auteur" studios so if you like the feel of one, I think you'll definitely like the feel of the other.
