Sorry, but I wasn't that impressed. I hated the protagonist and I feel like the ending is rushed. Everything's rushed. I hear about how twisted this is supposed to be, yet, I can't feel that way. I didn't understand that at all. If that's the the producers meant for this piece, they sorely failed.
The story - Isn't really there. There appears to be a lot of filler, with trying to introduce characters, while at the same time find some plot. They aren't faithful to the manga either.
Art - I'll give them that. Masterpiece.
Sound - I vaguely remember the music. But I do
...
remember, singing along with the theme song, each time in the beginning. If I recall right, there was english. It was good.
Character - Heh, don't get me started. The main protagonist is nothing but a cry baby. His character develops a little; but he's still a wimp at the end! I hope his character is reformed eventually as time goes on (in the manga).
All other characters aren't developed either. They wanted to introduce you to them, but at the same time, all you do know, is there existence. It's easy to quickly forget them, for that reason. I thought that there were some cute moments, with Shiro. Maybe some character development there.
Enjoyment - It could be 5. Mediocre. I wouldn't rewatch it, at all. They attempted to close ties, but failed terribly. They should've been more faithful to the manga.
They had the tools to make this a good anime. But, once they started something, they didn't finish it (in more than one day).

I had just finished Season 1, shortly before, and, yes, I was anxious to find out about Shinya! I read a fantastic review and character analysis on the characters before watching also. I wanted to keep an open mind. Yes, I was seriously disappointed Shinya wasn't in Season 2!
But when you think about it, Season 2 has its high points. It's completely necessary to watch this season; yes, even before watching the movie.
I loved season 2. To me, I feel like I could rewatch this season before watching Season 1. Why? I love how Akane's character grew. She was just a flower in
...
season 1; with Shinya's absence, she budded into a beautiful rose. Just watching her, in itself, gave me fulfilled enjoyment.
The action is still there, and so it the whole idea of Sybil. You're left to ponder to yourself, even if you don't agree with the lady protagonist, why she's still working for Sybil. Her answer is definitely insightful.
Now characters -- It broke my heart that practically a few branch of characters were introduced. It even was a little too much for my heart!
The purpose of Season 2, was to give you a fill-in for the movie, so you're not left behind. IT also, helps you see Akane's transformation.
Shinya isn't completely left out - his presence hasn't been forgotten, that is. Akane lights a cigarette, to remind herself of him and help her think like he would.
I have to say, I loved the criminals of Season 2. The finale isn't something you'd want to miss either. Kyaa!
Thing is, don't let yourself go in with the hype. Make your own judgement.

The thing is, the story that the author wrote is either a ''10'' for ''masterpiece'' or a 9 for ''great.'' However, the anime was not faithful to the manga, nor was the ending even mildly impressive. They didn't let the characters develop, and left all of the ties hanging in the air.
Enjoyment is very high, but when things are tied up and you can't experience the plot, it sort of leaves you unhappy and disappointed.
Read the manga, before you even entertain the anime. That's all I have to say.
Rating:
I rounded my overall to about a 7.4, or 7.
Story? 4 for decent.
...
For reasons stated above.
Art? 10. Outstanding. I'll give them credit for that.
Sound? 10. The music is perfection, and very well executed.
Character? Luci overall is an outstanding character, however considering how little we still learn about her JUST FROM THE ANIME... I sucked it up and just gave 8. It could be much lower.
Enjoyment? 8, its still very good. You enjoy it while it lasts, up until they decide in the end to mash everything up into a rushed ending.

I like this shoujo - its not typical and is a real page turner!
Overall, I was SURPRISED by how much I liked it!!!!! It definitely was NOT what I was expecting.
I read it throughout, completely and was only disappointed that I had already gotten to 50. (I binge read and hate waiting for updates!)
I'm very picking about shoujo mangas - yet I love them. I feel like the characters are genuine, and the main protagonist (the girl) isn't whiney at all. In fact, she's a real fighter and I love that. She'll hit him. >=) I love how she sticks to her guns.
...
She isn't ditsy either, which is nice. She's a likeable protagonist.
The male character, he isn't unlikeable either. He treats her right, despite teasing her often. He obviously cares very deeply for her. They both learn to conquer their character flaws together; as well as their bad habits.
The female protagonist at first was very cowardly, but so was the male. Despite this, they eventually grow out of that. I mean, you don't want perfect characters right off the bat - that isn't realistic.
I would've given the character rating an 8; I mean, I'm not disappointed with either of them at all. However, there's still more developing to do and I don't want to be biased because of how much I'm enjoying it right now. In a special way, I'm being optimistic with low-balling it. (I bet your laughing right now)
My rating:
I used math to determine the overall mean of my rating. The number very well, could be much higher than I calculated once she's finished the work. As for art, I don't know much about it, so I just gave it a 9. I had no complaints! The art satisfied me, and I liked it very much! I focus more on plot and character development; though, admittedly if I don't like the art, I won't even pick it up.
